This card will add a 20% tip to “restaurants” that aren’t even restaurants. I went to a drive three and was charged extra not from the drive thru “restaurant” but additional money was taken out of my card and it didn’t match up to my receipt from the food place. I called and they told me they automatically add a 20% tip to all restaurant purchases. It’s like what if you left a tip in cash and not on the card, not only will that employee get double tipped but it’s basically taking money out that you didn’t ask to be taken out! I’m a server and I totally don’t like this card at all! I used to work in a different restaurant that used instacard and that was amazing! Never had any problems with that card! It’s unbelievable what this company does with YOUR money!

The card works fine , I use it whenever I need to cash out my earnings , the only problem is I can never check my balance unless I’m by an Atm or my actual Bank. The issue is that rapidAccess never ever lets me get into my account to easily access my balance , I put in the cards number multiple times yet it says there’s an error . My cousin (who has the same card / app) works perfectly fine but somehow mine doesn’t , I never put my account password because it never let me in the first place set up my account and whenever I do I can’t ever get passed the “error card number can’t be found” message ,downloading rapidAccess won’t guarantee login access , only other way to check my balance is to call the card and check it there but it charges you 3-6$ for a call which is pathetic

Multiple times money has been taken out of my account without my consent or authorization. And when you contact them to dispute the charges they make it seem as if you’re trying to get free money when you can clearly see that the transactions were made in a different state than the one you live in. If you guys go look up the reviews for this company, it has happened to allot of people. Some don’t even get their money back! I would not recommend this to anybody not even my worse enemy! If you get it from work get it transferred to a different card or bank that is more safe with your money! Cuz I promise you these cards are easy to hack! It’s very scary! Do NOT get money on this card. DO NOT USE OR GET THIS CARD!

Horrible app don’t use

I was given this card for my new job I got a couple months ago. When the time came to receive my paycheck Rapid!access would not let the money go through to the card. I was sent an email saying I had to verify my id. Was told to make a copy of my license and then fax it. I called customer service a day later to see if they received it. They said I needed to include the customer id which the customer service agent from before did not tell me. So I faxed it again and called the day after and was told I need to enlarge the copy of my license to 200%, which I did and included the customer id with it and faxed it again. Called the next day and they said I needed to include a copy of my social security number. So I did it called the next day and was told I needed to make my license and social security card bigger when it was 200% enlarged just like they said before. So I did it again and called the next day and was told my license had to be in color. At that point I gave up and swapped to direct deposit. Horrible system and even worse customer service, I doubt their card doesn’t work any well either but I don’t know because I was never able to use it.

If I could leave zero stars I would. Went to transfer money to my bank account, no where did it say it would take 5 days to complete. When I called to find out why it was taking so long I was informed of this. Asked if I could cancel the transfer, was told yes. After 13 minutes of being on hold, the guy said the cancel was completed and that my funds would be available within a few hours. Well past a few hours, still no money. Call back, was told that you cannot cancel a transfer. So I was lied to by these non English speaking “customer service agents”. Horrible app and even worse customer service. Calling my company Monday morning and getting my direct deposit changed, along with highly recommending moving away from the rapid pay card!

This company, app and everyone employed by this company that I have had the unfortunate experience of speaking to is completely unfriendly, serve literally no purpose for it’s customer base and I don’t understand why they even have a customer service number. I’ve had nothing but bad experiences with this whole operation! I had my card stolen along with other items and in this technology rich age they lack the ability to transfer money that is rightfully mine from my paycheck to any other type of account! I also had to wait approximately a month or little longer for a replacement card for which no one had any empathy or did anything to help me definitely never entertained the thought of going the extra mile for a customer much less do Anything that remotely resembled customer service! I would Never use this company or Never recommend it to anyone who has employees that need services! This is probably the Worst company I’ve ever had to deal with and I hope and pray I never have to again!

Worst bank ever. Sadly my paycheck ended up in this account and I had no other choice than give it a try. Nothing but problems so far. First, for every transaction they hold 20% of the amount to make sure there’s enough funds available to cover it, which makes no sense since they’re the ones keeping your money and the account doesn’t have overdraft protection. Second, transactions without the physical card show up in my statement, and now I have to wait for a temporary credit and 90 days for an investigation. Third, the card that they gave me didn’t have my name on it, making impossible to get the money out of the account using some apps. Fourth, by the card not having my name, some merchants wouldn’t even accept it. Fifth, by holding 20% of any transaction, you’re not sure what your true balance is and it gets too confusing making it uncomfortable to pay anything with it and not thinking if you have enough balance to cover both. If you get stuck with this by mistake, good luck as you’ll needed it!!!

My employer uses this to pay my wages. Usually I transfer the funds to my BofA account and everything is fine. This go around I decided to only transfer half and then use the half that’s still on the rapid pay card. One day the card works fine but then the next day everything is declined. I can’t make withdrawals nor make any purchases despite it being perfectly fine the day before.

Multiple calls to terrible customer service who read from a script and don’t actually know what they’re doing and don’t even troubleshoot to help fix the problem. They tell me my card is active has sufficient funds and isn’t locked yet I can’t use the card at any atm I try. I keep getting told to try again in an hour yet still can’t access my money. If I could give rapidAccess zero stars I would. I’m also speaking to my employer about changing to a more reputable company because this one is terrible.

This card was provided by my employer. My account was frozen after the second time I sent money to my main bank account and was marked as potential fraud despite me sending it to the same bank account with my name on it (I HAVE MADE NO OTHER TRANSFERS). I contacted support that told me that I can use the website or fax to submit my ID, then I was told that the option to do so through the website was not available and that I could only use fax. When asked the first time I was transferred and put on hold, then suddenly was “disconnected”. Then the second time I was hung up on. The third time I called it was practically just a confirmation of what I need to do (wasn’t very helpful). Basically just told me to send my ID by itself to a fax machine with no additional information. I will be switching to check and cancelling my card. A paper check is objectively better.

They keep freezing my account

The customer service is incompetent with this company. My account has been frozen multiple times and they keep wanting me to fax over my ID to them to unfreeze my account. It takes months at a time to get it fixed because they say they have some sort of “offline team” it needs to go to first but it takes multiple attempts to fax the information over for them to ever receive it. I would love to take every penny out of my account but even when i try to make a minimum transfer they lock my account and i have to do this whole process over again and my assumption is that they make money based on me leaving the money stagnant in the account for a long period.

I feel bad for anyone that has to deal with this very frustrating company and i hope they modernize there approach of dealing with freezing transfers.

Wish it was reliable!

The concept of rapidAccess and what can be done within rapidAccess is great.
HOWEVER- I can hardly EVER actually get past the “Authentication Fail” error anymore when trying to log in. It’s so freaking frustrating when you’re trying to get in to check your balance/transfer funds/look at recent transactions and you CANT because you’re fighting to get in.
I have had a rapid pay card for over 5 years. I have been an app user for at least 3 of those years. The error instances have always been a thing but they have increased significantly in the past few months!
Too often I have to open safari to get to the rapids website but it’s definitely not as easy to navigate through when you are needing to check your banking information quickly.
Please please please fix the bugs that keep this an ongoing issue. rapidAccess has so much potential!

No issues for over a year until now

I’m writing this review in hopes to hear back from the developers. My paycheck goes directly into the account associated with my Rapid! App/debit card. It has been a flawless system for at least the past 2 years but suddenly today I am no longer able to access rapidAccess . My money is sitting there without the capability to transfer the funds. I need to access my money to pay my bills so please, I need some help. When I click rapidAccess it just immediately sends a message saying “sorry, an error has occurred” and my only option is to press “OK” which in turn, closes out of rapidAccess .

Simple Reliable Card/App

I’ve been using this card for several months thru my employer and it works exactly how it’s intended too. rapidAccess lets me auto transfer a portion of my paycheck to my savings. I get my deposits on time. I like rapidAccess because it’s minimal but has enough features and account info to help you manage your funds. My only complaint isn’t with the mobile app per say, but, the bank itself. Since it’s a prepaid card, when you use your debit card to make purchases, the bank will hold additional fees while processing the transaction. The merchant is ultimately who initiates the hold, but the merchant decides to tack on a hold because of the prepaid type of account the bank offers. The mobile app does a good job of displaying the breakdown of the original total plus the separate fees and how many days the hold will last before the held fees are released back to your account balance. Lastly, when you have questions or concerns about your account, there is a real person you can speak to, anytime of the day and this contact info is available in rapidAccess . The reps are almost always foreign speaking and not the easiest to understand but I must say they have always been friendly, patient, and helpful. All in all, I am satisfied with the user experience and app’s interface.

Reliability is awesome

The Rapid Access application on my iPhone is highly reliable and a secured app. The updates to ones account when you get paid or make any kind of transaction are exactly what I look for and require in a mobile banking application. The only thing I do not agree with for the account is the monthly maintenance fee but other than that it is a quality service app I haven’t had any regrets since installing rapidAccess to my phone and I’ve had for a little over 5 months now and I greatly appreciate it. The only thing preventing me from rating it five stars is that it doesn’t have a feature to pay you two days in advance for direct deposit checks

Good option temporarily

This pay card option was offered by my employer and is a good route to go IF you don’t have or can’t get a traditional checking or savings account with a bank for direct deposit of your paycheck but they do not offer early direct deposit like a lot of other prepaid cards offer like Netspend or GreenDot and so on and they also do not offer the $200 overdraft option so like I said I think this should be a temporary thing until you can get a regular bank account at like TD bank or Bank of America or somewhere like that. This Rapid Paycard does however offer a savings account option but there’s nothing special about it. No over draft, limited transfer options and no early direct deposit so for those reasons I will give this 4 stars ⭐️

I hate banks

I hate banks and that is why I continue to use this card that I got from a temp job a few years ago. It handles most of my needs. I love the new feature that I can login with my fingerprint on rapidAccess . The biggest problem I have with the card is getting cash without paying a fee. I think you get one free transaction after a deposit. But after that even with the unlimited debit plan you still get charged for an ATM withdrawal. I think that’s bogus if you’re paying for the unlimited debit so you should be allowed to get ATM withdrawals for free as well. Allow me a way to get more than one free cash with drawl and I would rate this five stars. Actually I just remember you can do a cash back transaction but the only options I’ve found for that is $100 at a time from Walmart. So you’re stuck doing many transactions to get the cash if you need more than $100.

I recently got hired for my first job and they gave me this because I had no bank account at first I was scared bc I had no idea how or what this card was but I’ve been using this card for a few months now and I can track my purchase at anytime I can get a fast and easy number on how much you got for the one way to go around fees is to go to any local 7/11 store their atms give cash out no fees that’s all I got to experience so far have a wonderful rest of your day / night .

I can remember when I first started with rapidAccess and website; at the beginning of 2019. Both were awful to be honest. I could hardly ever get on, as the website was always having issues.
I can’t remember when that changed because that was time ago, but I can tell you that I love both rapidAccess and website! I absolutely never encounter an issue on either. It would be nice to withdraw money without getting two withdrawn fees. I have not found a bank they are affiliated with. Also, taking out $100 from Walmart or wherever when you do cash back counts as your one time free. Though you won’t be charged for those, if you use that as your first withdrawal, and then go to the back you are now on your second withdrawal. Aside from that, I don’t have any feedback. This card and one other card I have are my most used cards because going on rapidAccess as is quick, efficient, and makes my life easier.:)

Pleasantly surprised

When I started my new job, this card was my only worry. I didn’t like that I had to move funds from a new, separate card to my regular bank account. However, everything about this card and app have proven to be pretty great. My first transfer to my bank took 3 days, standard. Every transfer since has been 1 biz day. That’s impressive to me, with no fee!? Unheard of. App is easy to use, easy to log into and navigate. Someone really did a good job on it. I have no complaints here!!

Keeps money in track and rarely have problems receiving my money

when i first starting using rapid access, i had problems receiving my money but it fixed snd ever since, i've been receiving my money and it lets you make your own savings account on rapidAccess snd keeps track of your money. When i get an email saying i get paid, it takes a couple of hours for the money to go in your account so if u get an email saying money has went in ur account, give it a few hours 1-5 usually and you'll get your money. great app and easy to use.

Do Not Get This Card

This is the absolute worst card invented. So much hidden information that a cardholder should be made aware of. For example, if you place this card on file for incidentals for a hotel stay the will not lift the hold for 20 days, or if you happen to receive a refund for a purchase they will not release the money back to you for 20 days this is their standard policy that they do not make you aware of.

Unreliable

I could not login since last week, even if input the correct answer to the security question, it will say error, and account is locked. If you call the not so helpful Customer Service Agents, they will say “Oh it doesn’t look like it’s locked”. Just try again...
The only reason why I have this card is thru my Employer, but if I have a choice, I would never use this bank card at all!!!

Take forever to refund any money on hold or refund. Customer service is useless and can barely understand them. I got it as a pay card from my job and had to pay everytime I got a deposit which is B.S. card doesn’t work at some stores, or online purchases and the money is on there. Have to try 2 or 3 times to get it to go through

Don't use Rapid pay cards

Rapid! Pay in general is a pain to use, and rapidAccess is no exception. Once it was easy to transfer money to a bank account, but now the option has been removed from rapidAccess (even though it shows it in screenshots) leaving you no options for getting your paycheck without having to pay fees. Rapid will try to fleece you and take advantage of the fact that they're holding your money. If you can at all avoid it, you'd be doing yourself a favor.

Worst Experience Ever

Sadly, as my last paycheck, I received a Rapid Paycard that contained my final paycheck for the job I had at the time. After receiving this card, I immediately tried to transfer the funds to my personal bank account but was greeted by being locked out of my Rapid account and had to call to get it unlocked. I called the phone number on the back 3 different times in the span of 30 minutes, talked to 3 different representatives who told me my card had been unlocked and I could access my account, got me absolutely nowhere. To this day my account has not been unlocked and have given up on trying to transfer my final paycheck

The most unreliable piece of garbage. Due to retarded circumstances i had to use this for 2 weeks. In these two weeks I’ve had nothing but problems. When I went to open my account, the authentication codes emailed to me wouldn’t work. When I called and asked for help, they basically said our system is bad and you need to wait 24 hours. After I finally set up the account every time I try to log in I get errors after errors. Sometimes I can’t access my account all day.

Very low-performing interface. Where’s Touch ID???? Get with it! Refunds take waaaay too long. I’m also seeing a lot of transactions get refunded then processed again without my knowledge or request. Makes me not fully trust that my balance is accurate OR that I’m not being overcharged. Savings acct side is shaky. I had a savings acct but the first time I was unable to access my own money I closed it. Not okay!

Your phones at customer service need work as well. I hate when a phone computer demands my card number, date of birth, last four of social, etc. then the representative asks for it all again because the system didn’t populate their screen with the information I put in. Very annoying.

im very upset with this card holder, i made a month ago a transfer of 100$ to my chase account and nothing came on, so in less words i loss 100$, and when i call to the costumer service they dont solve my problem, they just tell that i have to wait, i have been waiting for one month!!! this is the last time i use rapid card!!

This product has saved me a ton of money! There are no monthly fees, it has free bill pay, and a free ATM withdrawal in addition to unlimited free purchases at stores, restaurants, etc. It is so easy to use, I even got my tax return put straight onto my rapid! Visa card!

The rapid pay card is being used for all of the agency nursing going on in the country and is the most unreliable horrible app I have ever used, it deletes your baking info constantly, every single time you try to transfer money or look at card activity nine times out of 10 it throws an error code..!!! I am at my wits end with this sh1tty programming behind this cheap a$$ app!!! I’m going to do everything I can to get every single nurse to do a bad review and contact the Better Business Bureau and get rid of this app!!

I received this card for my first paycheck at a new job. The card came late and not only that, my birthdate was messed up in their system. (Side note: to even activate this card, the birthday must match the system) So I called and was requested to send over a copy of my drivers license to their fax number, which I didn’t want to do, but she told me this was the only way to solve the issue. So I sent over a copy of my DL via fax. I called an hour later to ensure they received my fax. They said yes, and to allow 3-5 business days to activate my card. So I waited 6 days and I called and now they say they have never received my fax. And the fax number I sent my drivers license to is the wrong fax. And then this lady has absolute nerve to ask me to send my drivers license via fax AGAIN. And to wait another 3-5 business days. This company is an absolute joke and the funniest part is that they are still in business.

This “bank” is a joke. I started a new job recently and unfortunately we are all forced to use this company. My employer setup up my card and I couldn’t log in for 2 weeks. Since then, I’ve been able to complete a couple of transfers with my bank but now when I login to the app, all the transfer features have disappeared. Every time I login into the app, I input my info accurately and the app works about a third of the time. Also, every time I’ve logged into the app, it looks different every time and half of the features never wor and even when it does work, I have to retry everything 4-5 times. “Customer service” for this bank is a complete joke. I had to speak with someone when I originally couldn’t access my card and what an experience that was. After waiting 45 minutes to speak with someone, I was connected with a woman who sounded like she was talking to me while driving down the road in a convertible going about 80 mph down the road. I told her I could barely hear anything she was saying because of the noice, she never did anything about the noice and became ruder immediately. Also, not sure where these reps are from, but even if there wasn’t insane noise I still wouldn’t have been able to understand her because her accent was soo bad. Banks these days need to be fast, easy to use and have amazing customer service. A person should feel safe and confident with what’s happening with their money. This company is an all around joke and drops the ball in every possible way. I honestly wouldn’t feel safe letting this bank watch over a goldfish, let alone my money. I’m in the process of speaking with our regional manager to switch over to a different bank for their employees and I’m also in the process of pursuing legal actions against this company as well. No one should ever have to do business with these people ever again. Thanks to anyone who took a moment to read this.

My employer decided to use these cards for our payroll. My first pay was deposited, I was able to withdraw cash, everything seemed fine. Come time for my next payday and there's no deposit. So I call customer service and after talking to someone with a very heavy accent and had roosters crowing in the background, I was told I had to verify my identity. They said they were holding my deposit until I did.I had to fax them a copy of my ID and SS card. I did that three times, after the third time I called them back because my money was still not deposited, they told me to contact my employer. I am so frustrated. I was recently diagnosed with cancer, I just had surgery a week ago and I have to go through all this just to get my paycheck. And still haven't received it.

I am very upset with this whole situation. I've been trying to activate my card for two weeks now. I've called you guys over and over again with the same problem but no solution. It's very frustrating. I call saying I can't access my account and that I'm trying to activate it but my birthday isn't valid. They tell me I need to activate it before I can access it, as if I didn't just say that and then they tell me my birthday isn't valid which I know and that's why I'm calling so they tell me to fax my ID and state that I want to verify my birthday so I did. I spent $5 and wasted my time waiting in line to fax this and call them 4 days later because they told me it would take that long for some unknown reason. So four days go by, I call them again and it's all the same stuff again! Nothing fixed! I just want my money! The customer service is crap, the app is crap, everything with this company is complete crap! Will highly recommend that everyone should NOT use this company ever in their entire life. It is the worst experience I have ever dealt with and is still dealing with sadly.

I've already posted my issue but wanted to follow up. I was actually thinking of giving them props for correcting the problem which was deactivating my account due to my providing inaccurate banking information. I NEVER provided inaccurate banking information and was able to complete several transfers into my account however this was their reason for deactivating my account. I explained this to the supervisor (which took me 4 phone calls to finally reach) and they immediately reactivated my account. I immediately performed a transfer which was successfully completed. I even re entered my banking info and 4 days later they have deactivated my account again for the same reason. Now their asking/telling me to fax/mail (email unavailable) my banking info to them in order to reactivate my account. If this continues I WILL be taking some sort of legal action against them.

This card is a joke. The transfer to another card option continually tells me to enter a proper 16 digit account number over and over. I called customer support and they proceeded to tell me there was no issues while a ROOSTER was crowing nonstop. It makes sense why the card sucks so bad. After setting up my account and successfully completing a few transfers to my bank I was suddenly unable to access the transfer link. I called customer service and was informed that the glitch was because I had provided inaccurate banking info (???). I was put on hold to speak to a supervisor and the call was dropped after 30 minutes twice. The third attempt I agreed to a call back within four hours, it never came. In addition after my first call I submitted an email via the feedback link and never got a response. VERY FRUSTRATING!

I don't understand how this "bank" is still going. They are frauds and thieves. It is unbelievable what they can get away with. I'm involving my lawyer because now that I'm reading more into it, they are doing this to so many people. My card was charged for $950 without my authorization and they told me that they wont be returning my money because my pin was used. As if they never have heard of card cloning. I was at work the entire day and my card was with me. I did an investigation myself simply by calling the place where it was used and manager said upon looking at video, card is red. My card is black. $950 they wont give me back. They are keeping all this money for themselves.

Currently I have been going through one of the worst times of my life, my car broke down, my girlfriend is pregnant, my friend passed away, my phone broke, and along all of this I lost my wallet. I had been searching for weeks, I issued for a new card through my work place, which this company refused around 4 to 5 times over the phone, I asked to speak to a supervisor and they blamed where I work. I had to reissue for a new card and they told me I have to wait another 7-10 days for my new card, I have been waiting for almost 2 months and now I have almost 1100 dollars on my card I cant use. Why, you may ask, are they doing this? I dont know myself. Now I am stuck walking back and forth to a dead end job where I cant even get the paycheck for working there because this company has done this. All of the representatives seem to barely speak english. Please I just want my money back then you will never have to worry about me ever again.

I've had rapid pay card for a few years and didn't have any trouble until the last month. I received a text alert in January saying my card had been shipped, but I hadn't requested another one. So I called to find out why. The representative, who I could barely understand, couldn't see any reason why and concluded it was sent by mistake. She even told me I could dispose of the new card! Luckily I didn't because a week later my previous card was deactivated! When I called that time to find out why I was told my card had been compromised and the new card was my replacement! The card I was told by the previous rep to throw away!! I then activated my new card and updated all my accounts. Then, 5 days later, I received another text saying my card had been shipped. I haven't received another card but now I'm worried the rep screwed up and cancelled my NEW card and ordered another one, which I still haven't received. I'm wondering if I need to withdraw my money before I end up loosing access to my account!

This company stole all my money with in authorized transactions called to dispute it they told me they would give me temporary credit ,within 2 weeks I got a letter stating no error so they won’t be crediting my money back in the account.. This is fraud!!!

What a bunch of fucking retards. My manager accidentally put my info in wrong but we got it fixed, these clowns send me a new card after “resolving the issue” and long behold the card won’t activate because the God damn thing will not let you have 2 cards connected to the same SSN. So I call and speak to someone about how to just transfer the funds, “sorry, sir, your previous card and information is under investigation for fraud and could take up to 90 days to resolve.” I hate banks but holy fuck, Rapid is just a joke.
