Restore BACKUP doesn’t work!

I’ve had your app for years! I recently purchased an iPhone X, and before doing so, I backed up my info from my iPhone 7 to my iCloud so everything will transfer to my new iPhone X. And it did. BUT, I decided to take the iPhone X back to preorder the newer iPhone tomorrow. So I backed up everything on my iCloud with the new iPhone, so when I’d attempt to retrieve my passwords again but this time back on my old iPhone, they would be there.
However, to my dismay, they’re not showing up. I don’t know what’s happened. I backed everything up on my iCloud, placed my files in my Dropbox app, but nothing’s worked. I figured everything would sync back on my old phone like it synced when I switched to the new iPhone I just purchased but it didn’t. I then thought I could just go back in iTunes, find you all’s app & retrieve it from iTunes but that wasn’t the case. The only option available was getting PasswordManager all over again brand new or purchasing the Pro for 4.99. I went ahead & got both, but I still could not restore any of my prior passwords through either app I just downloaded.
This is very unfortunate because we’re talking about years of passwords that I still use & desperately need that were on PasswordManager ; yet, I can’t retrieve any of them. I’m thoroughly disappointed...

iPassword is a scam app. Developer does not support app.

This developer is running a scam. They have several builds and copies of this iPassword app that they don’t properly maintain which they also charge $ for. Look at my review and don’t let what happened to me also happen to you. Apple should remove this developer from PasswordManager Store. I relied on them and they have failed me. Most of the reviews are inflated copies from a much smaller user base than the quantity of ratings lead you to believe.

I purchased this application as iPassword more than 2 years ago. Out of the blue, PasswordManager began the prompt me to leave a 5 star review every time I open it. After upgrading my phone to iOS 11.4 and restoring it (iPhone X) the previous app copy of iPassword or version stopped working so I attempted to recover my iCloud backup and PasswordManager said it didn’t exist even though I have always enabled restore from iCloud. PasswordManager apparently was not creating backups for iCloud to store. So now ALL my passwords and data are lost! I sent several emails to the developer to help me. No responses to my inquiries

Imagine saving ALL of your passwords in PasswordManager and then it’s all gone with no support from Apple or the developer they allowed to sell PasswordManager on its App Store.

Makes My Digital Life That More Convenient

I have an encrypted document with all usernames and password on my PC, but for being out and about, PasswordManager makes my life so much easier that I can have my major usernames and password with me in the go. Gone are the days are logging on to a website from another computer or on my phone and not remembering my password quite right.

Only thing I would add is having Face ID activated to open PasswordManager . :-D. Other than that, very happy with Password Manager.

****UPDATE*****. Literally just after I wrote this review I noticed there is an option for Face ID. I turned that on, and as soon as I backed out of settings PasswordManager closed. I open PasswordManager , it pops up for a split second and goes back to my home screen. Try again, same thing. PasswordManager doesn’t actually close, because when I go to force close my apps, I can see Password Manager there, but only the background of PasswordManager . I had the remove PasswordManager , and now lost all my data which means I have to go back and manually add them all in again. For giggles, I downloaded PasswordManager again and same thing happens as soon as I turn on Face ID. This is obviously a major bug that needs to be worked out.

DO NOT TRUST THIS APP!

PasswordManager used to work great. I have all my passwords saved on here and the past several months, it hasn’t worked. Basically, every time I try to open PasswordManager , it immediately closes. I’ve tried soft resets and hard resets on my phone. The only time it works is for the first hour after deleting PasswordManager and redownloading it! I was in the long and agonizing process of writing down all my log ins to just get rid of PasswordManager all together when I lost EVERYTHING! Basically, while I was doing my whole deleting and redownloading PasswordManager routine that I always do, instead of pressing restore passwords, I pressed back up, and it backed up the blank app and I lost EVERYTHING! Boom, gone! No longer can retrieve. It’s been the biggest headache trying to figure out everything. Yes, that was my fault for pressing the wrong button but it is seriously an easy mistake when every single time you use PasswordManager, you have to start over fresh and restore your backup. Save your money, save your stress and don’t buy or use PasswordManager!!!!

App user

For those people that are purchasing a new iPhone with facial recognition........do not get PasswordManager. If you already have the free app and upgraded to pro, you cannot add any new passwords/accounts when you sync it to the new phone. I have turned off the Face ID in settings and so far it will still open. So I hope It will still work, at least I will have access the the passwords-already in PasswordManager . We will see what happens in 24 hours.
Before reading the other reviews, I purchased the password pro on the iPhone X hoping this would fix the problem, it was only another 5 dollars after all. Manually re entered all of my passwords but did not turn off the Face ID. $&@“!!! The newly purchased app would not reopen and I had not saved anything to the iCloud as of yet.
Fortunately PasswordManager is still on my iPhone 8 so I emailed all of my passwords to myself.
Loved PasswordManager for years, now I don’t trust it. Will be looking for a new one. By the way, as other reviewers have stated, no response from the developer.

Does what is needed, but closes without warning

The search has never worked. PasswordManager closes when you try to use the search function.

I recently upgraded to an XR and PasswordManager would not open after restoring. I deleted PasswordManager , restored the backup file from iTunes, and was able to use PasswordManager until I closed it again, then it would not open again. Rinse, repeat, and same problem. Then, I wondered if it was because the Touch ID was on. So while I was in PasswordManager after restoring from backup this time, I turned Touch ID off. When I closed PasswordManager this time, then reopened, it went to the Dot Lock and I was able to finally get in consistently.

I hope this helps others, but PasswordManager needs serious attention to get more stars.

IPassword Pro and iPassword +

Sorry this is long, but if I don't give my own experiences then perhaps the developers of PasswordManager might not fully understand what's happening.
After using iPassword + for quite a few years on various iPads and iPhones, the latest of which were the iPhone 7 and 8 without any trouble, we both my wife and I recently upgraded our phones to the XS. Neither mine nor my wife's phone are able to open PasswordManager since the new upgrade. Luckily my older iPad still works with PasswordManager and the ability to backup to Dropbox has saved a lot of headaches. I even upgraded to the iPassword Pro to see if that would work with the new XS. Guess what...no
If you delete PasswordManager and then reload it from PasswordManager store it'll make you sign in like you were a new user (use your original password) but at least then you're able to restore your information (mine was Dropbox). Walah your done your info is back, or so you thought!!
When you close PasswordManager and try to open it again later it won't open.
Leaves me very frustrated knowing that with the most popular iPhone out there the developers of PasswordManager are lagging behind trying to sort this bug out.

This version

Hello
This version of iPassword that I am using now I like it very much. But I believed there was another version of iPassword I started to use before this version. I used that version until I updated to Apple IOS version 14.1 after that my iPhone and iPad said the Arthur has to update the older version. The problem I am having I cannot open the other app and retrieve all the passwords that I have saved overtime. I am hoping you all can help me out on this. This ipassword has the same format as the older version had. Also your icons are the same as the older version. Thank you

Great App! - Read if your Xs keeps crashing

Just wanted to write a review as I have been using PasswordManager for years. It works great and I have customized the templates. Today I upgraded from an iPhone 6 to Xs. PasswordManager was working great on old phone, but keeps crashing every launch on the new phone. Kept having to uninstall/reinstall and restore every time I wanted to use PasswordManager . Possibly because my old phone had thumbprint enabled my database defaults to using Face ID. Restore your database, turn Face ID off in PasswordManager settings and it stopped crashing for me. Able to reproduce the issue multiple times.. so something with that feature is causing the crashes. Fix that and PasswordManager is a 5! But hope this helps others with the same issue!

Correction to earlier review issues.

Found the reason why new version 6.6 is not working on my iPhone and iPad. When items are set to “Dark” mode settings, certain entry fields in Password(Pro) app with white background is not showing the typed info. Noticed that if I switch the Display&Brightness to “Light” mode settings, typed info is now showing. Apparently app is not functioning correctly in “Dark” mode.
Great app!! No issues if you set the Display&Brightness to “Light” mode. It’s a 5 star app if issues are corrected.

(Earlier review)
Issues with new Version 6.6
Updated to version 6.6 for “Password Manager Pro” a week ago. App is having issues on iPhone and iPad. Can no longer enter/type a title on template page. Also no longer able to enter info in notes section. This is also an issue if you try to revise a template title or change notes on a previous created template. Not sure if this is a compatibility/bug issue with the new iOS 13.4.1 that I also recently downloaded. A long time user of PasswordManager . Never had any problems. It’s a great app if current issues can be fixed.

I freaking love iPassword! It saves me everyday!

It’s easy, secure, and fast. Backing up my bajillion logins and passwords is easy and I can back up to plenty of location with a couple taps. Dropbox, google drive, and just about anywhere else I want to back it up to. Best of all if I lose my phone, it gets stolen, broken, falls in a pool, whatever, I get all my logins and passwords and financial info back on my new phone with a couple tops of the screen. It’s a lifesaver for those reasons, not to mention the fact that on a daily basis I end up needing to remember some obscure password that I almost never use but when I do and can’t remember it I password is right there. I don’t even have to try to remember passwords anymore. I just got a text from my wife asking what our Adobe cloud login and password is. Within seconds I can text it to her. All my kids random video game account passwords and they’re email logins and passwords, everything is in there. Kids never remember their login and password. Then they end up with like three Xbox accounts because they keep having to make a new login every daggum time they forget the one they used before because they lost the napkin they wrote it on. That is, if they ever wrote it down at all. I will never not have PasswordManager!!!

I recently bought iPhone XR- had a hard time getting the restore to stick but figured it out. You must manually move data over (follow directions in Ipassword app under settings icon in the lower right of the screen) once you restore to the new iPhone X model you will be able to open PasswordManager once and only once before you are locked out mysteriously- so do not close PasswordManager ! Go to settings (within PasswordManager ) and disable touch sign in. You will have to enter password manually from then on (until ipassword comes up with an updated version compatible with Face ID.

If your app crashes on iPhone Xs, READ THIS

To anyone reading this and whose app crashes after restoring old phone onto a new one WITH FACE ID...
I think the problem comes from having the face id option checked, so before backing up your old phone or before uploading PasswordManager ’s backup file uncheck the option and it should work fine on your new phone. Just dont enable it again as this will cause PasswordManager to crash the next time upon trying to open it. You have to leave it unchecked until a proper upgrade is available.

And to you, the developer... MAKE THE UPGRADE ALREADY!!!

Secure and easy to use!

Update because they asked me to! Been using PasswordManager for 4 years now. Back up and transferring between phones and iPads are great. Changed jobs twice in that time frame and PasswordManager manager kept me straight. Great app that has been worth every penny!

Well written program that is easy to use. Before you put too many passwords in it, it is worth it to play around with it a bit. A lot of the features are very handy. You can choose thumb print to secure if you want or stay with the password protection. I keep a little over a hundred passwords and I almost never need to use forgot my password on website.

Couldn't live without it

There is no doubt that I would be in trouble without PasswordManager. With all the passwords and websites I need for work and home life. It is indispensable. Only negative feedback would be that they haven't updated all the new accounts such as AOL, ADP and such. It would be really easy to give a bank of choices and let the person pick the ones they use instead of preloading a few. It is workable because you can make generic ones and erase the original name and add what you need to put in but it would be more user friendly. Regardless, wonderful app. Looking forward to seeing updates.

Great app - I recommend this to my friends

I’ve been using the pro version for about two years and it’s been solid. Just be aware any password name you use cannot have a “/“ symbol. This may have been corrected, but that caused some issues for me early on.

The ease of backing up your file is one of the best benefits. Again, this may have been corrected, but early on, there was not a direct method to sync across devices. Workaround - backup the file from the primary device and then restore that file on up the secondary device.

All in All - I use PasswordManager in my professional world and recommend it to peers and friends.

Great app!!!!

This is an app that you just have to play around with to figure out. I read the reviews to understand what it was capable of doing. Not only can you save all your personal information, you can save your logins and websites so you don't even have to type them in or go to bookmarks. Yes, the directions are non-existent but the pro version is only $5. The competition is charging $14-$70 per year of use and if you think this one is bad just try those. Once you take the time with a little trial and error, you will love it! I have my passport id in there, my daughters ss#, all these important things that I never would have thought about putting on my phone before PasswordManager. Works with fingerprint on iPhone 7+. I will be using at least a dozen times per day just for the ease of my most used websites and the logins for my business. Only syncs to iCloud over wifi or hard cable with iTunes. So you can guess that all these bad reviews are because it is a learning experience to figure it all out. I hope this helps you!

Great app

This is a well organized app which I find extremely useful. In fact, it is a life saver. You can easily access it with Touch ID, so you don’t need to fuss with putting in a main password. However, by using Touch ID constantly it is easy to forget the main password, so make sure you save it somewhere. It is impossible to change the password without knowing the original one. PasswordManager is well organized so you can keep passwords in folders, making it easy for those of us who have hundreds of passwords. All email passwords, for example can be easily accessed this way. Besides the problem with forgetting the main password, you can’t sync multiple devices. Thus, 4 stars instead of 5.

Robust, Full-fledged , Feature Filled Password Manager

I really love PasswordManager and use the paid version as all of the features are well worth it in the security and safety that it offers me! I have been using PasswordManager for three or four years now and really enjoy it!I highly recommend it but as with everything make sure to double check their (and everyone’s ) data gathering practices on you and what information they get about you;you can never be too safe out here in this world!

Do your own research before you get an app and install it!Especially a password manager! You need to make sure that it is from a reputable company that you personally trust and have done considerable research into before you trust them with your precious online data and information!

I like PasswordManager but do your homework and check up on things and don’t blindly install apps just because they are popular!

Very useful!

I LOVE PasswordManager! There have been many times that I do not know what I would have done if I didn't have PasswordManager. Since most of us have so many different logins and passwords these days, it's impossible to remember all of them. PasswordManager keeps them at my fingertips. I love that PasswordManager is locked so that if someone else ever uses my iPad they cannot access the valuable content. The format is attractive and you can choose from an assortment of logos to give each account a different look. The accounts are also alphabetized to make them easy to find.
