CBORD Mobile ID - for CS Gold Reviews

idk why there are so many negative reviews! CBORD is super convenient for me because i’ve locked myself out of my room and building and it’s been able to work every time with getting back in and i don’t have to call campus police!

So CBORD worked for me once and it would be very useful if I could get it to work again. The thing is, I hold it up to the reader and my debit card pops up. Now I don’t really want my own apartment to have a cover charge, so I think it would fix the problem if you could put the virtual access card in your Apple wallet. That would fix this issue.

I’ve had two different phones and it hasn’t worked on either. Won’t let me get past the log in page because none of the buttons work. College requires it to get food and get access but I can’t use it. CBORD is the absolute worst. If your thinking about using it for your school, don’t. An IOU is more reliable than CBORD

Let me start by saying CBORD has worked for me a few times, so I know they way I am using it can lead to it being successful. The vast majority of the time, though, it says the reader is too far from the phone. My phone could be touching the reader, and it still has this error.

I’m not sure why the ratings are so bad for CBORD. I’ve used it for over a year, it works great, and I’ve never had any problems with it!

The only reason why I’m using CBORD is because of my math class, but coming from a CS field I know this isn’t the hardest thing to do. It’s a VERY Basic app, but it can’t even get past the login page. I can’t explain how frustrating it is when I have to go up to my instructor every class to tell him CBORD didn’t work so he can mark me down for attendance.

It works sometimes but I'd be nice to be able to use 3D Touch or Apple wallet so I don't have to actually go into CBORD every single time

Never failed to work for me when I couldn’t find my ID to get into a building

CBORD has screwed me so many times it’s not even funny. I’m writing this as I am locked out of my dorm at 2 am because CBORD won’t let me verify my credentials.

Giving my final presentation on no sleep should be fun though.

Saw the negative reviews so I tested it out every once and a while to make sure it still worked. It always did, until I actually forgot my ID, then I was suddenly unauthenticated and unable to do anything more than look at a blank page when I tried to log back in. Pathetic.

I’d give it no stars if I could. CBORD is a dumpster fire. If your reading this because you need it for your school I’m so sorry. I’m writing this as I’m locked out of my dorm room at 7 in the morning because CBORD won’t work long enough to open my door.

I have to go up to my math professor every class to explain that CBORD won’t work, so she can manually take my attendance. She then tells me to go to the IT department where they cannot fix this. I have to deal with this every single time I come to class. Y’all gotta fix this

I don’t need campus police to open my room any more

I installed CBORD and It works great. I haven’t had any trouble with it at all unlocking our parking garage or our elevator or our door.

I have deleted and downloaded CBORD dozens of times and it never lets me register. I put in my school’s server url, hit authenticate my device, and it takes me to a blank screen. I have tried to contact customer service on several occasions and have received no response.

I don’t know what the issue is but CBORD works for most of my friends but i literally can’t authenticate my device. It has been broken for over 2 years now and it’s infuriating

When I went to unlock my door, my ID card said that my door was not in range, when I would be standing right next to it. Funny part is, it worked for a week, then it just stopped.

I downloaded CBORD then look for my school. When I tapped on my school nothing happened.

This is actually the worst app to ever exist ever. It almost never works. Sometimes the whole app is just down and it becomes unusable! Worst UI ever, literally couldn’t be worse. Whoever built CBORD deserves to be beat by their parents.

i forgot my pin, so to reset it i had to press the ‘reset app’ button, only problem is, ITS BEHIND THE KEYBOARD SO I HAVE NO WAY TO PRESS IT. honestly i could spit on whoever coded this god awful app. a student in any sort of coding class could make something better. you honestly should be ashamed of how bad your app is.

CBORD was working great until recently when it just abruptly locked me out. I repeatedly contacted the administrative office and IT support but nothing helped. I was either directed to an answering machine or told that there is nothing they can do about it. Where is the help when you need it?

Be prepared to have someone come get you or have your physical key handy, because CBORD is in no way reliable. And the times it does work, it would have been faster to pull out your key than to wait for CBORD to respond.

Every time I use CBORD to open a door it crashes the next time I open it. I have to delete and redownload CBORD every time. I had to use it for a day when I lost my card and I hope I never have to use it again.

I downloaded and re-downloaded CBORD so many times, and it would never go past where I put in my school’s URL. I got a new phone, and the same thing happened. Would love for it to work, a great concept in theory.
