Run away

After using this app's EMR for over a decade, our practice has experienced a consistent decline in performance. Each year brings new frustrations, culminating in my inability today to log into the mobile version, which is critical for our operations. The recent acquisition of this app by another company raises concerns; it seems the new owners may have made a poor investment given the ongoing issues with the software. Overall, what was once a promising platform has become increasingly unreliable and cumbersome to use. Look elsewhere if you want a quality product.

Recommend you choose another EMR

ADMD doesn’t live up to to its advertising. Our practice chose this system after reading reviews and now we regret it. What we got and what we were told we were getting are far apart. There’s so much manual entry, missing codes, tests, orders, lab sets, etc. We’ve been waiting for months for our Health Information Network interface-still hasn’t happened. I could go on but it would TLDR. We’re now exploring other systems that do a lot more, do what they say and alleviate the manual entry and streamline workflow. We wanted a system that improved workflow and reduce charting time. Didn't happen.

Great potential… big miss

AdvancedMD has a great potential but every few weeks EHR is down or PM is down.

Now AdvancedMD on my iPhone crashes every other day and when you try to login it just closes AdvancedMD . If I’m on call and need to access charts this is pretty useless when I cannot login.

Sad to say the support lacks, the EHR is constantly down and AdvancedMD crashes way too often. An unreliable system for a properly run clinic

Very disappointed

This is a very cumbersome system with very limited training included, (you can purchase extra time). This program does not automatically save your charting so you lose complete charts occasionally while moving within the program to review labs or images.
I have worked with several programs previously and this is the least intuitive program I have personally ever seen or used.

A lot of unfixed issues and accessibility problems

There’s a lot of issues here. A long-standing bug where you can’t actually create a reoccurring telehealth series. The telehealth option gets turned off with no way to turn it back on. They’re f fully aware of it and report that they won’t fix it because enough people have it reported it as an issue even though it’s clearly a bug. Similarly, they don’t pay as much attention to accessibility as is needed. Both on the desktop, and on the mobile side, accessibility isn’t really much of a priority. And a person is maybe one or two issues away from not being able to use the service altogether. There’s a need to improve overall accessibility. For example, typing is a nightmare on AdvancedMD for a person using the voiceover screen reader. Similarly the schedule tab has a lot of accessibility issues and a lot of the color coordinated holds and openings aren’t even announced. Again, they are aware of the issue, but after several years, have done nothing to actually resolve it.

Escribe updates.

The most recent updates to the mobile escribe module have made it more difficult. I understand you plan to remove the escribe from the tools section and refills will have to be done thru the dashboard. My problem is the refill requests thru the dashboard are difficult to read. In the tool section they are better separated and the patient’s names are in blue, on the dah board everything is in black making it difficult to read. Also we are no longer able to set the interaction warnings level. On the PC we had it set at medium with no problems on switching to the mobile app but now it appears to be set on all interactions.

Messages don’t come across

Up until the last couple of updates AdvancedMD worked fine. Then all of the sudden the messages stopped coming across. It would notify me that I had messages, but when I went to check them they would not load. This issue has still not been fixed. I have to delete and re-download AdvancedMD every 24 hours and that is not only inconvenient, but also very annoying. I have seen other comments about this issue, but still no resolution. This needs to be fixed immediately.

Not user friendly

Calendar is not user friendly the vertical set up is awful. No auto save feature for any inputting. Too many extra clicks with new update. Unable to print out patient list for provider use. Software is not overall user friendly or in line with current electronic medical record use

Not Comprehensive

It’s convenient to have an app and it could be worse, but this is not very user friendly. I can’t seem to access the PM interface for viewing chart notes. I recognize that some work is meant for the computer, but it would be great if every single feature were available mobile for those of us working remotely. When my computer died, it was impossible to get my work done with AdvancedMD. I know it’s a work in progress and you’ve done a lot of great stuff, I just hope the goal is to make every feature accessible via mobile app.

Positive: the messages are easy to access from my phone, which is probably the most important thing for working mobile.

Viral solutions

Please fix AdvancedMD it goes down at my job everyday and it’s very aggravating. I don’t know what’s wrong with maybe AdvancedMD is getting overloaded but still with how many people use it this issue should’ve been sorted out by now. Thank you I still really like this application it’s just not at its full potential yet. 🙌

App update failed

I am a medical doctor. I depend on this crap to work. Here it is 5 am and your company just updated AdvancedMD . My app will not open in my Ipad. Dont you test things before you release an update? I am sorry but this is a piece of crap software. It does me no good if I cant open it. I call support and I get to leave a message. That does me no good either. Good luck, wish I could change to different vendor now.

Touch ID for login doesn’t work on iPad Pro

I use this app for PM only (don’t use the EMR). The iPhone app works great and Face ID works to log in. However, on my iPad Pro I can’t use Touch ID to log in. I go to settings and enable Touch ID. It appears to be enabled but if I close AdvancedMD and try to relaunch it, I have to enter my password again. The functionality of AdvancedMD is great but being unable to log in with Touch ID is frustrating.

Overall satisfactory

I’ve used AMD in a regular browser and in app form for almost a year. I wish they can combine the best features of both.

Perhaps I need more training. I like how the ICD codes can be added to each lab order in one click. Not sure if the browser version has that.
I also appreciate how the font size is large enough for me while the browser version needs to be magnified.

Much of the UX can be improved on both formats.

Fix the phone option

About 1 yr ago, was able to tap on the phone number to call the patient directly, now unable to do that. Can this be fixed?

I love the app, but...

I love the AMD app. It works very smoothly for scheduling at our office.

Unfortunately this latest update won’t allow the “agenda” view to remain in tact. I can toggle the selection on and off, but it will not remain. Could this be fixed please?

Another issue is linking charge slips to patient notes. I can create both in AdvancedMD , but having them linked to the scheduled appointment and together appears problematic in AdvancedMD . I may not be doing something right, but I haven’t been able to figure that one out.

Otherwise, 5/5 stars would be my rating!

Mostly functional, weird errors

I get a few errors sometimes that prevent me from doing anything. Most frequently an error that says “the data could not be read because it is not in the correct format.” This has prevented me from seeing the schedule and has affected my work ever-so-slightly.

Documentation is a breeze

I had chance to work with different system and WEBMED is amazingly supportive, as well does not waist my time that I rather give to my patient .Common sense exist after all, if I open my privet practice it will be my choice .Thank you

Please Help

I have been using AdvancedMD for a little over 2 years now, with no problems at all. All of a sudden, my message feature is not updating as of about 10 days ago. I primarily use AdvancedMD to check inter office messages and view patient appointments. I reinstalled AdvancedMD , to no avail. Any ideas how I can fix this?

Not updating

Patients names are not coinciding with where they are on the schedule. Patients are not showing up when they get checked in. App won’t allow you to scroll through to check the schedule. Not all apps in the same office are showing up the same.

I like that updates seem to make sense with the needs and I have as a condition. AdvancedMD format has saved me a tremendous amount of time and I’m thankful that the updates also help in this format.
