The app is a waste of time

You can’t customize your order period. If you add or subtract an ingredient to your order, Buona sends an obnoxious error message. The last time I ordered something I couldn’t customize anything. I had to order the item as is and was disappointed as I wanted additional ingredients and was willing to pay the difference but I guess they don’t want the additional business. I was going to try to order there tonight on my way to work but it’s pointless as I can’t customize my order and I don’t have time for the drive through. But what do they care anyways? Don’t bother downloading Buona . It’ll save you time to just go through the drive through.

Love the food. Hate the app.

There are about 8 issues with Buona that are obvious when trying to order online. The map doesn’t show location details on the pin, picking a location does not zoom to that location on the map. Popup windows appear over buttons you need to tap and prevent you from tapping. You can’t set an item’s count to zero in the cart. You have to clear the entire cart. There is no navigation hits on how to checkout (you have to tap the tiny “Subtotal” label in the lower right). It doesn’t remember what location you’re ordering from. There no quick way to get to the cart. I could go on and on...

Took a bad app and made it worse

Really only used Buona to scan my Rewards card but that functionality has now disappeared. However, they have added phantom notification alerts that cannot be cleared and always shows a number in the corner of Buona icon so that is a bonus annoyance. On top of that, it appears they have devalued the Rewards program as I used to receive an award after 100 points, now Buona tells me I need 250 points. While we’re at it, why are all of the Reward levels (gold, platinum, etc.) the same?

It’s a shame. The food is still good but Buona is horrible. Time to delete.

Software is too complicated.

It’s a great app, but Buona menu is overwhelming 😵‍💫😵‍💫😵‍💫

There’s no need for over a dozen options to choose from. It can definitely be condensed and group together. iPhone is usually simple enough for a kid or my grandma can use. But Buona is too much here.

So far the redemption of points is great. And can’t see any other areas for improvement.

Buona Darien

Today we stopped at the Darien store, the food was very good. I have to compliment your organization for having the most polite staff of all the fast food restaurants we have ever stopped at. Not just the Darien but all the store we have visited. Everyone we have come into contact show good training on your part. The bread is also the freshest.

App sends later time stamp for pickup

Love this app and their food, but ordering from Buona gives me all sorts of problems. It never remembers my card and then when I finally get to order, I see that on all my receipts it gives a time stamp that is near 15 mins after the actual time I ordered. Therefore when I get to the restaurant they are only just receiving my order and having to make it all yet. Seems like it could be an easy fix, but not one that’s been made yet.

Didn’t get my FRIES

I like this app Beef and eat there often...BUT the last time I ordered food to be delivered I did not get my french fries. Not the hugest deal in the world but I paid for something I didn’t get. I immediately gave feedback after my food was delivered but I still didn’t get a refund or my fries. I also waited an extra 45 minutes for my food to be delivered… just super annoying in general and disappointed that there was no acknowledgement or refund.

Notifications?

I’ve “cleared” them multiple times in Buona but they remain, even though I don’t know where to view them. I have a total of 11, but should have 0 if Buona worked properly. Other than that, Buona is decent, but the phantom notifications that never disappear are annoying.

No more points !!!!

I ordered pasta yesterday and wanted to use my $5 rewards I’ve had and they told me that they no longer do that !!!!!!!!!! I have my phone number and they said they added it to my account . Them they told me to download the new version of Buona ..:: I’ve tried dozen of times and it continues telling me there is an error ... WTG this app IV’E got points and can’t use them because of the new version and they told me no more rewards only some kind of fee food .. it’s a joke

Terrible!

Buona is terrible for ordering. First off, I selected my location and it told me it isn’t available for curbside pickup. I’m not sure why, I did curbside there before they switched over. Second, when ordering my entree, it doesn’t give me the option to make it a meal like it used to. I have to order the fries and drink as sides which makes my order more expensive. It appears others people are having issues too. Hopefully they resolve soon.

Notifications come back!

I check my notifications, the bubble goes away only for it to come back 5 minutes later with the same notification!

All the people that wait on me are very polite & seem to be very happy employees. Service & food is top notch. I go to the one in Countryside IL. Used to go to the one in Berwyn IL. But moved to Willow Springs IL. You’re Restaurant's are all been 5 stars for me and my family. Thank you for all your service & smiles!

Beyond amazing!!

I ordered New Year's day and I forgot who helped me. But I went to pick up my food and it was SO delicious and the gentleman was beyond helpful! Definitely my new obsession!! This goes out to the this app in Rosemont off Touhy!!! Thanks again!! You will be seeing me a lot more!!

Updated and deleted my points

Okay the update seems to work here, but you’ve ruined the website!
PLUS, YOU’VE SWIPED ALL MY REWARDS POINTS!
Buona may have deleted my history, but there are still two events recorded online: sign-up and my last order. Riddle me this: how do I have ZERO POINTS and a single order?

Even if I redeemed points on that order, I’d still get new points!

Which reminds me:
THE FREE* BEEF SANDWICH IS A LIE!
Promised a free beef sandwich for signing up on Buona ? Nope. You only get the equivalent of five bucks off, which is LESS THAN THE PRICE OF THEIR SMALLEST BEEF SANDWICH… unless you count the hotdogs. Kinda shady an Italian Beef joint promises a free beef but only coughs up a hotdog. A free five bucks still a free five bucks, but don’t call it a free beef.

Why can’t I get rid of the “1” on the App

Ever since the latest download, it appears that I can’t locate what is causing Buona to say that I have one unread notification. I’ve wasted my time going through all of the screens and I can’t find any unread notifications. I don’t want to delete and reinstall Buona because it tells me that I’ll lose my account info and I’m a long-time customer. Any help on this please?!!!

App Customer Service is non existent

Can’t log into Buona . There is no customer phone support for Buona so you can’t speak to a live person. I respond by replying to a standard email. You get a standard email back telling you to reset your password. The reset your password link doesn’t work. Catch 22. My wife and I have basically written off this place which use to be a favorite of ours.

Couldn’t Log In

Buona is frustrating!!! I couldn’t log in because the pop-up kept telling me no match. Then I tried signing up again and it told me this email was already in use. So I reset my password with the exact same password and it finally let me in. Great beef, lousy IT.

Something is always wrong or missing

My daughter usually orders and there is always some kind of problem with the order. Today I ordered so I could redeem some of my points. Well the item I should have received for free was not only missing, but I paid for it too. I sent feedback so we’ll see if it’s rectified in a timely manner.

Replaced working App with new Broken one

The previous app wasn’t perfect but it worked. This one won’t let you update your address, turn on notifications, the Pizzas aren’t in there and there are many more things that don’t make sense yet. I hope this improves fast.

Not as functional as used to be

Less food options & options for food adjustments. No check-in when you arrive option via text link which was the best feature. I had a ton of reward points (confirmed by prior this app email) and it said I had no rewards to use.

Can’t place an order

Worst app ever.. password is not hidden, adding item card pop up does not go away making it impossible to add a CC.. I had to select my items 4 times because there is no way to get to the cart page from any screen.. ugh annoying.

Continually signs me out. Doesn’t recognize password. Try to change password with email and phone number. Says it will send email. Never does. Tried 5 times. Have given up and will just go to Portillo instead

Can’t login with the new app

Can’t find my email, can’t reset my password, says my phone is already in use so I can’t register. And probably list all my old points. Reported last week and no response.

So here's the problem, I give the food and the restaurant 5 stars because holy hell their food is abso-fucking-lutely phenomenal! But their app sucks fucking ass! The app never works it never let's me login, I luckily had it logged in once earkier today and made an order, later in the day (just now) I decided to add the app to a folder on the main screen, as soon as I did that it won't open anymore and I've already Uninstaller and installed it back and still won't work giving me error messages when trying to login or doesn't do anything when trying to login. Absolute shitty app. Change developers, fire the dumbasses who made it and hire someone else to redo it because it fucking sucks!
