Ok, so I don’t know if it’s me, but there doesn’t seem to be a way to select same gender/gender neutral housing, which is a problem. RoomSync might tell you 100% match, but in their profile it says they, who are a different gender than you, wish for same gender housing. Like... that’s kind of a big deal, and a massive contributor to what someone wants when they’re trying to find a roommate. Also... c’mon... who was asking for what is essentially tinder for finding roommates? Look, I get what they were trying to do, but at this point RoomSync isn’t there yet. Maybe at some point it will, maybe this is the way everyone will be finding roommates in a few years, but at the moment it feels like a poor solution for a problem that may not need fixing.

This is would be great if it wasn’t glitchy and problematic. I found a great set of roommates and matched with them. A few weeks later, I randomly logged onto RoomSync to see that somehow, I was unmatched from my roommates, and someone else had taken my spot, leaving me to find new roommates ASAP. Now this may seem like it was my fault, but in order to leave the current matches, the person has to physically choose to leave, which I did not, I was happy with my matches. I believe RoomSync was so glitchy that it took me out and put someone else in there instead. Really disappointing. Thank you this app for the unnecessary anxiety.

After updating RoomSync I haven't been able to access chats, match requests, or edit my profile. Every time I try to navigate to another tab it prompts me to fill out the About Me questions (which I did months ago when I made my account) and takes me back to the card screen. I tried deleting RoomSync and re-downloading it and I'm still having the same issue.

It keeps suggesting people who are a 0% match and haven’t actually made their accounts. Should have the option to select a category that’s most important to you ex: cleanliness. so that it will suggest more people who are similar in that category. Also keeps suggesting people who aren’t even looking to dorm in the same building as me

this app recently updated their mobile app to only allow login through Google, FB, and Apple ID. My account with them was through my Microsoft outlook account (what my school uses). I was logged out and cannot log back in. I contacted them, and they said it’s not their problem. Unhelpful customer support. App also had poor UX/UI.

I am a guy who has my preference set to gender inclusive, but I get women in my feed who are only looking for other women to room with. There is not any reason for me to see them, and just slows down the process, with me having to check every woman’s profile to see their preference.

The picture field should be forced before making an account.

I’ve filled in my information but it keeps taking me to the About me page which is extremely frustrating because I can’t even go to chats without it popping up…please fix that.

RoomSync won’t stop asking me to fill out my About Me even though I’ve filled it out and saved it a million times. I can’t go through chats or likes without it glitching and it’s very frustrating. Please fix this!! My apartment’s deadline for roommate matching is quickly approaching and I can’t do anything with RoomSync.

You’re better off using your laptop because RoomSync takes forever to load and sometimes doesn’t. And it glitches a lot.

RoomSync is glitchy, slow, and terribly frustrating to navigate. It takes an eternity to load even a single action, and half of the features are either poorly designed or literally dysfunctional.

I tried creating a profile but it stays at the same spot for a long time. I hAd to delete it multiple times just see it works. RoomSync is terrible and whoever made it needs to go back to the drawing board because this ain’t it.

Currently trying to find a roommate and RoomSync is glitching so bad it wont even let me open the tabs on the bottom without asking me to answer my “about me” section which i have already answered. I dont know how to fix it.

Please read these reviews and not the top ones. I installed RoomSync and opened it only to be faced with a blue loading screen for eternity. Yes, I’ve sat through it and waited, to no avail. RoomSync is pretty trash if I’m being honest.

I tried on both RoomSync and the website on my laptop and it does not let me update any profile information. App is glitchy and unresponsive.

I answered all the questions and it still tells me to answer all the questions. Can’t even sign up so kinda a waste of time.

Great app and I love the easy interface and they fixed a previous bug that was not working before overall wonderful app if your looking for a roomate!

BROKEN! Just recently RoomSync broke. It wont stop asking me to complete the About Me even after I complete it. PLEASE FIX!

They don’t have my university listed

It’s a great concept and I love how it requires a link from the school so it is safe and secure, but it’s impossible to message anyone. Messages disappear right after I sent and I can’t tell if they have gone through. It also shows all messages sent by one person even if it is a convo. It also gives me notifications for messages but then won’t show me any new messages.

RoomSync is great, although it can be slow at times, it has all you need to find a roommate. BUT the messaging system is messed up for me. Every time I try to send a message to someone I’m interested in being my roommate it disappears! I type the message out, hit send, and instead of it showing in chat, it disappears immediately. I don’t know if they received my message or not.

RoomSync really needs a better notification system. I don't get any notifications from RoomSync which makes it really difficult if I am trying to communicate with someone, because then neither one of use no when the other person has texted us. So it could be days before someone responds! PLEASE FIX THIS!!!

I am now able to login to RoomSync , and as such will change my rating to 4/5 stars. Once I am able to use RoomSync more, I may change it.

RoomSync works great, but just trying to give some feedback to a developer. I can’t update my Bio! It just spins the wheel! The term Summary after the questionnaire is confusing as well about what I’m summarizing, I talked about my answers. It would be best to label it as Bio text. I hope these changes are made soon, thank you!

It’s helpful, but a little buggy and there’s limited options on what we can do. There should be a setting for which type of notifications we receive but i’m emailed everything and I wish I wasn’t. I also wish there were more questions about roommates but it’s okay.

RoomSync is good in theory; but there are lots of bugs that make RoomSync crash, won’t allow me to send messages to any of my mutual likes (says the person is unable to receive messages), and if i was able to type a message up it showed a loading symbol for ages and never actually sent the message. Was very hopeful and excited to use RoomSync, but it disappointed a lot.

This is a really good app! Not only did I meet my roommate I made lots of friends as well! There’s a lot of detail so you can really find someone who is going to work with you!

RoomSync has made the finding a roommate process so much easier, but for the last few days I have been unable to see people’s profile photos. Also, I never get notifications when someone inboxes me.

Every time I try to register an account it gets stuck loading. I updated RoomSync and even tried to register an account on my laptop with the same problem. It spends about 5 minutes with the spinning wheel and then just sends me back to the login page.

The most garbage app I have ever attempted to use for probably the most important purpose of any app I’ve ever used. Signs me out and refuses to let me sign in, instead just logs me into my email as another browser. No one from my school knows about it, which isn’t their fault. But needs so much more work and tech support.

Notifications for messages on IOS aren’t coming through. Other than that, it can be kind of buggy sometimes, but otherwise an ok app.

Moving to a new city and having to find suitable roommates can be a real nightmare. RoomSync helped relieve that anxiety and I found a pretty cool roommate. Thank you!

RoomSync is honestly complete trash, there are way too many bugs to even get it to function properly. It constantly crashes, won’t let me login the majority of the time, and I can’t message anybody.

It logs me out every few days and won’t log back in. I have to uninstall and reinstall every time
