How many more apps are you going to remove?? Bring back Pandora!!

When I first purchased my Lexus there were allot of apps/features built into the software. People whom would ride in the car would ask about the car and all the features - I would allow/tell them to play around with it to view it for themselves. As a result friends and family we extremely impressed. I even have a family member whom purchased a Lexus from their experience in my car and LexusEn installed at the time. Facebook, Pandora, Movie Tickets, Restaurant Reservations, etc... all could be accessed and used from the car console. I felt proud that they were envious.

Well no longer is that the case. Everything I used and loved is slowly being removed and its becoming very upsetting!! Bring Pandora back! An if your going to removing one thing at least replace it with something new. At the rate it’s going there isn’t going to be anything worth wild. Essentially becoming a plan Jane Fm/Satellite radio with a sub par navigation system that shows my house down the street when I’m sitting in the driveway.

Its becoming extremely frustrating and making me consider purchasing a certain high end electric car brand with more features than I could shake a stick at!!

Shame on you Lexus

LexusEn is beyond frustrating. After having my new RX450h for just over week I’m very frustrated. And now after reading all these reviews even more frustrated than i already was as it appears this issue with LexusEn and their entertainment / navigation system has been going on for years??!! Shame on you Lexus! Do you not care? I expected so much more. I didn’t ‘test drive’ these features, but I sure wish now that I had. I am on the road a lot for my work and I really think had I known how clunky and unreliable the Lexus enform app and nav system was I would’ve chosen the Mercedes with Apple play. Heck, I just rented an encore before my purchase and it was 10,000 times less stressful to get from point a to point b and have your message read to you. I’ve already wasted 2 hours last week with support. I don’t know what to do at this point. It is certainly keeping me from “loving” my car. I think Lexus may not realize this is important. I have the Nav package and have resulted in propping my iPhone up against that large 12.3” screen. Terrible!!

Waste of money and time - don’t buy a Lexus

The technology package was a major selling point in the show room. LexusEn is absolutely horrible, disconnects, and is flat out useless.
I can’t believe that Lexus would charge so much for the navigation and technology package and get all of this poor reviews and not be concerned about this. A phone hooking up to a car flawlessly and firing up pandora and some other apps is not “rocket science” and a pretty basic expectation of any car. I am tired of fixing app log outs, tether errors, and insufficient connectivity? Really? Sometime pandora still works when i get insufficient connectivity message. This is very disappointing!!!!

My expectation is that Lexus should respond and fix LexusEn and get caught up quickly. Or hire a company to help you!! Other option is to refund back technology package fee and convert the console screen to an iPhone dashboard cradle!!! Really this is just bad stuff. Look at all the negative ratings! This made me feel even worse that i bought this $60k car !! Should have done my research on this.

Worse than 1 star!

At best, this is a horrible app! I paid $55K for a new Lexus and was looking forward to be able to remote start the vehicle in order to cool it down or heat it up.

Unfortunately, this is not going to happen because LexusEn only connects to the car about one out of every 20 times I try it. The rest of the time I get an error that says "unable to connect". When I try to use LexusEn , I have five bars of signal Strang so that's not the problem. Also, I make sure I am more than 100 feet away from the car, so that's not the problem, either. The problem is LexusEn simply doesn't work!

From reading other reviews here and elsewhere online, apparently this is a widespread problem and by now, after two years of LexusEn being out, Lexus should have figured out how to fix these problems.

Bottom line is Lexus makes a wonderful automobile, but they need to find someone to help them in the software application business. This was the same type of shoddy work that happened when it took them a full year to overhaul their Lexus Drivers website, during which time the site was almost done usable.

Lexus, I certainly hope you are reading all the comments here and other places online. Please do something to fix this application.

Finally a worthy update!!

I have been bummed since LexusEn stopped supporting the pandora app for music listening. However, today I got a notification to update my car and my phone. Once I did, I noticed it added Alexa functionality. It was a little clumsy to set up, but once I signed in it worked perfectly! Now I’m able to say “Alexa” and tell it commands just as with any Alexa device. For example now you can say things like; “what’s the weather” and “play rock music”. One downside is that it seems you do need to have the Enform app open on your phone for full Alexa functionality, but I’ll take it either way. Thank you!

Worst app ever

This is the worst up I’ve ever used in my life. Once you download it, it says you have to download the Lexus app. So now I have two apps on my phone just to use it on navigation. Then I called customer service and of course they hang up.
Actually called them twice and the second time she said she would put me on hold and will make sure that I don’t get disconnected. Of course I do. I decided to delete LexusEn and just not put the Navigation in my car. Really Lexus? We pay over $50,000 for a car and you can put a simple navigation in your car without downloading 3 apps?
On top of that Lecus can’t even afford to use an app that is smooth. My Hyundai and Honda I bought for way less and you don’t need to download some stupid app to use the dashboard. So sad I bought this Lexus.

Piece of junk

Major disappointment for something associated with an otherwise great car. I have more fun in my Chevy truck with its Apple Car Play. More user friendly and it WORKS! Lexus Enform almost always is PAUSED, won’t connect, or has Tether Error.
On a related note, what another bummer when I find the Enform Remote can only be used with a paid subscription at some completely ridiculous monthly charge. And you have to contact Lexus when you want to use it. (I didn’t believe this part, so I called customer service and verified it.) Again, on my Silverado it’s standard equipment and you just click two buttons. Of course the Enform Remote app probably wouldn’t work either.
Fix them both please. Ridiculous is today’s world regardless of the price of the car.

Needs Fingerprint Recognition

I really want to like LexusEn. Every time I think about using it it automatically logs me out and I have to remember my sign-on and password and this is usually while I’m driving.

For a company like Lexus, they really should implement technology that most other apps that have been out for a few years half which is fingerprint identification so that people are not driving unsafe and putting in their logon credentials while driving. Also if they could disable the log out after a couple weeks of nonuse. Or a minimum just give the user the capability of doing that if they would like.

Fix this and I’ll update my rating to higher number of stars

Poor Apple Watch integration

My Apple Watch Lexus app does not function (everything grayed out) unless I have LexusEn running on my phone. Why??? All of my other watch apps work independently of the phone. Example: drove the car to a lake for a hike, didn’t want to carry my phone or key fob. Tried to lock car using watch app but all functions grayed out. 2 recommendations: 1. make watch app work independent of phone app. 2: have option to enable locking car via app when key fob is inside

Makes me log in every time

For the 1st yr i was happy with it. But as of the past 6 months, every other day, it asks me to sign in to enform app suite even tho i keep telling it to keep me logged on. I dont restart my phone or anything, so why is it that it keeps doing this. Annoying and kind of tired of it. Spending money to auto start and alot of times it dont work, because i dont notice that its asking me to sign on. I use to be able to tap and go. Now i gotta wait to see if its gonna ask me to sign on. Very frustrating

Pandora - Performance Issues

Like other reviewers have mentioned, it would be nice if Lexus/Toyota would come aboard the Apple CarPlay/Google Auto train. It appears they refuse for now, so the least they could do is deliver an app with stable performance for the entertainment features that they wish to support. With that said, the Pandora feature of the AppSuite app is rarely stable, and you’re lucky if it chooses to connect when all the stars align properly. The Pandora app itself runs perfectly fine on the phone by itself, and can be listened to through Bluetooth without any issue. Just don’t try to use it via the AppSuite. You will be greatly disappointed.

Ever decreasing features

Yet again today I received an in-app notification that another feature is being removed. While I understand you are under the constraint of your chosen 3rd party integrations, you could at least put effort into replacing these capabilities with new 3rd party integrations! You act like your cutting edge and bringing great technology to consumers, yet you obviously do not care about maintaining that technology; keeping it current, fresh and valuable for your clients! You want us to continue to pay for this added service? Then put our money into developing new capabilities into this application and the associated app suite interface in our Lexus vehicles!

Great car. Horrible infotainment software

It's been 2 years since I got my bnew Lexus and since day 1 this Enform software is just a pain to use. Very difficult to auto connect with cars Bluetooth and would sometime freeze the system. You have to turn off then on the car just to reset it. I wanted to use this to integrate the Pandora app so I can see it on my cars screen but it would not connect so I gave up and just use Bluetooth or wired via USB. My 2013 Honda is leaps and bounds user friendly! When my lease is up. Ext year and Lexus still has this system or without CarPlay, I'm getting a different brand who has those. Great car though overall.

Most Dangerous App on the Market

The whole navigation system is dangerous, but LexusEn will log you out in the middle of driving, and it has no thumb print login. What am I supposed to do in the middle of the NJ Turnpike, stop to enter my login and password? I get constant errors like, “insufficient connectivity” and “tether error”. Not once in a while, several times a day.

The navigation system will not allow you to scroll through more than 2 pages of driving directions until the car is stopped. Seriously Lexus? I paid $55k for my car with Nav, and I use waze on my cell phone.
What a waste.

Not very good

First of all I can’t find Lexus Enform 2.0. Is ‘2.0’ part of LexusEn name, it is implied that it is. I am just assuming that the Lexus Enform in LexusEn Store is the right one. Now I can’t find where to get more apps in Lexus Enform. All it has is Iheartradio, Alexa and livexlive (no idea what that is). And some generic Lexus developed apps for weather and sports, etc. There is nothing really convenient about LexusEn , it’s pretty ‘clunky’ for lack of a better term. Disappointed in the Lexus tech.

Garbage app

I have been on the phone with Lexus dozen times over one month. LexusEn just does not work. It will not let me log in no matter what I do and I regret to say I am paying for the features. It has been over one month and Lexus has not done anything that helped. I think they are hoping I just give up and go away. Terrible response from a company that presents itself as a premium brand. Done with them in 9 months hopefully sooner and will certainly look to other premium brands. Lexus, you should be embarrassed

If I could it would be negative stars

I am in shock. Not one salespersons even mentioning how outdated and useless Lexus infotainment was, I WOULD HAVE BOUGHT A TESLA! I should have bought a Tesla to be exact. This is the final five years I own a Toyota product period. How sad and frustrating ntm outright PATHETIC.
Oh here’s your fifty thousand dollar car..OH BTW everything having to do w the tech is outdated and useless, go ahead and use your smartphone like ppl in cars worth a fraction of my Lexus. Shameful. When Korean cars are half the price and technology twice as relevant and useful it makes you think you just got taken by slick salespeople.

DO NOT PURCHASE THIS APP

When I first got my Lexus I loved it, all of it, especially the ability to remote start without being in range. I stopped the remote start because it was more of a hassle than help. I restarted it and am more disappointed than ever. My lease is up in a couple months and the lack of remote start will be the reason I don’t renew with any Lexus car. There r plenty of cars that deliver on luxury AND remote start. Why Lexus hasn’t fixed these issues by now shows their lack of concern for customer satisfaction.

Not as stable as the previous version

LexusEn has really become frustrating. Once a week or so LexusEn will completely lock up. Nothing I can do on my car will get LexusEn to function again. The only thing that works is pull my phone out of my pocket, shut down and then restart LexusEn . This started happening when Pandora was removed and at the same time LexusEn was restyled...

By

Bummer

Really surprised with the limited functionality of LexusEn . More surprised that the Navigation system doesn’t have common features on phone GPS apps such as Voice options (male/female, etc.); nor the ability to change fonts of the text to preferred visuals. Navigation updates are quite expensive with limited “enhancements“ over multiple years.

By

Beyond frustrating

Searching for an address is frustrating with LexusEn. LexusEn often sends one to another location for the base search and then to make matters worse will not use inputted address in search bar to locate the address in question. I often give up, wait until in the car and input using car features. If I’m hurry, will use iPhone map instead. Good heavens! Luxury car and cannot use support tech! Other issues, but they have been mentioned here.

Don’t listen to the haters

Don’t listen to the over the top rants from some trifling complainers. It’s pretty easy and seemless to use. If your using the enform app to stream i heart or pandora...why...some individuals can find a negative in any situation ...and make it sound like it’s seriously the end of the world....so over it

By

map is mediocre, interface is unpolished

The map’s search function is very limited. It wouldn’t find many POIs even if the map itself shows the item right in front of me. Instead it would suggest similar sounding places thousands of miles away.

When you establish LexusEn link to the car to transfer saved locations the car would randomly decide to waste 5 minutes trying to look for updates, even when you have mo cell/wifi reception.

Useless app, will never again buy a Lexus. Had a ‘D3’ code, ‘make sure all preconditions are met’. Called Lexus inform on the phone for one hour and no one could explain this error code. Told that they would phone back in two to three business days, never got a call. Won’t be recommending Lexus to anyone!
