Navigation is confusing, photo sharing does not work, even finding where the photos are is confusing, they’re hidden in a separate menu that appears only in some screens.

None of the messages were delivered. Don’t waste your money.

You pay for face recognition and they they make you pay again.

Hope the camp my kids go to picks a better alternative for next year.

Can’t find the bundle deals I was offered when I first logged in. Can’t check out because a system notice is obscuring everything. Very poor design.

Have tried several times and notes are not being delivered, no response either, waste of money for undelivered services. Wont use again.

Almost end of the camp and there’s not one photo up. I emailed and all they could say was sorry but they would be up very soon. The whole point was to see you child while their gone as they even use that as an incentive. What a scam

Pictures are hard to find. Doesn’t communicate well with the Camp. Great concept, needs refining.

When Bunk1 isn’t locked up, you can use it to see pics of your child at camp. Want to see a CLEAR pic? That costs extra. Want to send your camper an email? That costs extra. Send a photo with that email? Extra. Have your camper write you back? Extra. It’s shameless. We actually got one letter from our daughter through bunk notes…it was blank. Paid for that, too.

First, let me state that Bunk1 is very good, I gave it 4 stars. Being able to send customized Bunk Notes to my children (with a photo, or sports scores, or a Suduko) and receive them back from them is such a relief! Last year they said they LOVED getting our Bunk Notes. And sending replies to us gave them a quick way to ask us to send them things they forgot or needed.

Being able to see (and download) photos of them is wonderful! However, so far this year (2020) finding the photos has been difficult. Which is why I am giving it 4 stars instead of 5.

This morning I received a Notification that each of my campers had new photos. Yeah! Unfortunately I couldn’t find them anywhere. Clicking on those messages in Notifications and clicking on the Gallery takes me to a page that has “No Photos Yet”, as does clicking on my campers mini photos at the top of the main pages.

Why does it say “No Photos Yet” when there are photos?

To find the photos I ended up clicking on every single link in Bunk1 before clicking on the little square next to the heart in the upper right corner. A frustrating waste of time.

My wife had received the same notifications on her IPhone, and clicking on the messages took her to the photos.

She was asked to confirm that they were our campers, which she did. Perhaps confirming them breaks the link to those photos? If so, I suggest you fix that so it doesn’t break the link. Sometimes it’s easier to find individual photos thru the Notification.

Lastly, if you can increase the type, number and variety of things (there is only 1 suduko puzzle, no other puzzles, there aren’t any jokes or funny sayings) you can include in the Bunk Notes, that would be great!

love that i can have some view of what’s happening, especially since my kid doesn’t write letters! east to use, and fun to check every day.

I love sharing the pictures of my grandson it is like winning the lottery every time we receive a notification. My daughters, sons, and I try to be the first to share new pictures
His mother, aunt and uncles attended sky ranch in the 90s and I can honestly say Bunk1 would have been wonderful back then!

I sent my daughter on her first week long experience. There comes a slight sense of anxiety when you send your child off and can’t check in. Bunk1 helped a LOT. Getting pictures and updates everyday. Sending bunk notes to my camper was a hit. Super easy to use.

This is a great app. My child has been to 2 camps that use Bunk1. It is great to be able to pictures of her whole at camp!

Great great app and website ! Love it and it’s a Great way to enjoy your child’s fun while at camp! Thru pictures. I highly recommend!

In prior years I had to scour dozens of photos trying to find any with our kids. Now Bunk1 finds them for me! So cool!!

Love Bunk1 , so I can watch my kiddo at camp! Facial recognition is great!! Sending messages is super easy! Love that I can attach a picture and then decorate the edges! That’s fun!!

I signed up for premium service and love sending photos to my kids while they are at camp. And I love that I can send more than one message/day. Bunk1 is very user friendly too.

I love Bunk1. It’s my 8 year old’s 1st time at camp and 1st time away from home. The pictures everyday give me peace of mind and the letters allow me to let him know that I am seeing them and send my love. I’m happy to have Bunk1 .

This is our child’s first overnight camp experience. I love that we, the parents, feel connected through seeing pictures while we are apart. Seeing that smiling face is reassuring that they are having a good time.

This is a great app to keep up with your camper while they are away!

What a kluge-fest! There are millions of free apps that are far more capable and reliable. It's slow, but that's the least of its flaws.

Bunk1 crashes regularly when resumed from sleep, but not until you push Send. Then *poof* it's gone and it doesn't save anything when it crashes, so your message is history. Inexcusably, the text entry screen doesn't scroll (really!) so you can write maybe 5 or 6 little lines of text on your note before your typing disappears from view and you can no longer check or edit it. This is a serious flaw, more so given the proclivity of iPhones to autocorrect.

If this was a free app acknowledged to be in beta testing, maybe it wouldn't seem so awful, but paying $5 for Bunk1 to use a service I'm already paying for?! and then have it be essentially non-functional?! If I could give it negative 1 stars, I would. Don't waste your money on this piece of junk, stick with the Bunk 1 website.

UPDATE: After complaining bluntly to them through the contact us link on the web site, I actually got a responsive email that thanked us for the feedback and credited us the cost of Bunk1 (thank you!) plus a couple of extra Bunk 1 credits (pretty useless, but at least a gesture). Kudos to them for responsive customer service.

I shouldn't have to pay to email a camper! And$9.99 no less! So stupid! Deleting Bunk1 .

I see you fixed the problem that I mentioned in my review--the whole sent bunk can now be seen (instead of just the title). That was quick! Keep up the good work!
...but when I tried to send Bunk Notes today with a photo...the photo WOULD NOT attach!!! So I tried sending another one...and THAT ONE DIDN'T ATTACH EITHER!!! So I ended up sending yet another one using the web instead of Bunk1 . It finally attached!!! But this app charged me all the credits I used sending the 2 extra bunk notes!!!

this app has truly taken it's web-based site into the 21st century with Bunk1. It is so user friendly and intuitive allowing me to view and favorite photos on my phone with ease. As for bunk notes, they have never been so easy for an on the go person as myself. I do wish the purchasing more credits option was app based instead of redirecting to Safari. Also a next step may be even being able to purchase the photos on Bunk1 , using Apple's IPay feature... That would be cool! But all in good time. So far an awesome start. Looking forward to the newest updates!

I would prefer it over the web based version on my phone if it weren't for the keyboard issue I'm having when sending a note. There is no button to hide the keyboard when you are done writing the note, hence you cannot access the send button to send your message. Had to cut and paste into the web version.

I have been using this app for years and can tell the amount of effort and care the new team has put into products and customers. Bunk1 is a true testament to their hard work. Team helped me through issues with photos attaching and were eager to explain what happened. Along with this, the new version fixed those issues. Huge fan of this app and can't wait to see how they really bring these summer services to the next level!
