Good, can still improve, give us ONE TIME PURCHASE

First of all, out of all the "self care tracking" apps I've used this is the easiest one. It's really simple, doesn't take too long to enter a day and it's relatively straight forward. You can filter by the icons you've assigned to different things, for example if you want to see how many times you've socialized with friends over the past few weeks, you can make it display that rather quickly. So that's cool and all but I still think DailyBean could use some improvements: 1. The bean color is not colorblind friendly, regardless if you purchase a pack or not, they are all greenish or pinkish, we should be able to customize their colors to make them more distinguishable (give us a color slider or something because the little faces aren't enough in my opinion). 2. The ads pop up after you log a day and if you don't watch it, the day won't save, which is kinda greedy. I don't mind the ads that much because they're quick and DailyBean is free but I wish there were a one time purchase price for the premium features, no way am I paying monthly for what DailyBean currently has to offer. All in all, I'm still going to use this but it could be better.

Just one complaint!

I love DailyBean so much! I haven’t taken the time to really customize my icons and add more personal things yet, but I love being able to write out about my day and log my sleep without the stress of feeling that I have to create something perfect like I would with a physical journal. DailyBean makes it easy to track my moods and what I did in a day, vent about my day, and just get an idea of my quality of life without taking too much energy out of me. It’s great because I’ve really wanted to get into journaling, I’ve just never had the time or energy to do so, and having this preset app simplifies the process so much.

That being said, however, I do wish that the backup/restore feature was available for free/as a purchase separate from the daily pass. I’ve logged a lot in my journal and I’d hate to lose it all, it’s really important to me, but I can’t really justify it to myself to pay a subscription fee. And I think that goes for everyone, that they would like to be able to keep their journals without having to pay to keep them. I understand that at the end of the day, you do need to make money, but I would even be willing to pay a one-time fee to have the backup feature.

Very nice and simple app! :D

DailyBean is really nice and I recommend! It’s just a peaceful and fun way to record your feelings every day. Something that would make it better is if you added more categories and options to select for what you did in a given day. Since everyone’s lives are different, it should be so that you can even create your own categories and options and choose between a selection of icons to appear for the new option. (I hope this wasn’t too confusing!) Many people who rated DailyBean 1 star said that it was because they didn’t ask for the 7 day free trail. This is just because DailyBean is giving you 7 days to experience what it’s like, and after 7 days it will take it away. DailyBean will never charge you for this. (Maybe the developers should make it clearer that you’re not getting charged…) All in all, it’s a very cute app, and I’m definitely getting the premium version using the lifetime payment option! Thanks for such a nice app ❤️

The best thing to ever exist

When i tell you i’ve used MANY mood trackers, you better believe it. I felt like the other mood trackers took themselves wayyy to seriously. DailyBean just brings me so much happiness. It’s something I look forward to at the end of the day. I now take pictures of things that make me happy so I can put them in my journal. As soon as it was like “your free trial has ended, would you like to continue by paying for premium?” i had never clicked the “buy” button so quickly haha. I also love looking at stats, and the way DailyBean displays them is just so pleasing. When a conversation dies down, my next topic is “hey have i told you about this mood tracker i have? it tracks your moods in BEANS.” I’ve had friends who have had to stop me mid-sentence because I had forgotten that i had already told them about DailyBean. I would need extra hands just to count how many people i’ve told about DailyBean. It’s amazing. Get this. Immediately. Like Right now. DO IT!!!!

So cute and motivating! ☺️

I have had a few different journaling apps but this one is my favorite. I’m not sure why but I am motivated to fill this one out everyday, while it was a struggle to stay consistent with the other apps. I love how cute it looks and it asks questions that are relevant. I would definitely give it a try. I’m excited to use this app for a long time and to look at the progress I will make. It has a cool line art feature where it can show your overall mood over a period of time. You can also see how many and which days you did certain things or felt a certain way. The only downside is one short Ad that you have to watch when you submit your daily journal. The alternative is to pay for no ads but every app runs on advertisements. So I totally understand, especially since it the one ad is like 5-10 seconds long.

What

I got DailyBean because it looked so simple and easy to use, and it was for the first week. It gave me the free trial right up front and said that I didn’t have to worry about it charging me automatically after it was over, so that was also really nice. The layout is great and I really liked it, except for one major thing. You have to get the premium to be able to record your days! That, to me, seems very strange and was not made clear anywhere. When you click on the premium trial thing, it says it removes ads, you get a free theme and advanced stats, and so forth, but it doesn’t say anywhere that you have to get the premium pass to be able to record more than seven days worth. Without the pass, you have to watch an ad to record your day, which would be fine except you have to do that every single day and seeing as how this is a mental health help app, that seems a bit off-beat. Would recommend, if you pay or don’t mind ads, but otherwise it is useless.

Almost 5 stars but not quite!

Honestly a really good app. Good enough that I put up with watching an ad every time I want to add to an entry, which is multiple times per day, and for me that’s saying something.

However, it’s in dire need of a text-search feature. The addition of the notes section was very much needed and appreciated but now to fully utilize it we need a way to search through those notes quickly. The search by icons function alone is not enough.

DailyBean is also in desperate need of some more icons, perhaps a custom icon feature if possible, even if it just means using ios emojis in place of something we feel is missing. I have way too many different uses for single icons because there’s just not enough icons, and I often find myself frustrated because I know of an ios emoji that would be perfect for what I need; i.e. simple thumbs up/thumbs down emojis 👍🏻👎🏻, body part emojis like the eye 👁 etc to track symptoms in that area (right now I’m using a flower icon to track my blind spots/auras…but I have other eye issues that it just doesn’t make sense for so I end up typing it all in the notes——which takes me back to needing a text-search option but I digress), and the list goes on endlessly

Overall: really need that search by text feature and more icons and then it’s 5 stars. If you can get custom icons in here DailyBean would be the best for sure.

So helpful!

I love DailyBean a lot! At first I was a little skeptical BUT I was very wrong. Normally with these things, I use them for a few days then get bored but I’ve used this for almost two weeks straight.
Like usual, there is a premium pass you can get. But the free version still has a lot of options you can use to record your days, events and mood.
DailyBean really helps me to get out some of the stressful events that might have happened and lets me get them out of my head to calm down. Not only that but it helps me to see the good things throughout the day so it turns out to be not as bad in the long run.
There are sooo many ways to customize this to fit to your own schedule and preferences. I especially like the notes tool and the icons are super adorable. But anyway, it’s a well designed app and I totally recommend it.

Fulfilling and wholesome

I’ve only been doing this for around a week now but already I feel like I have an urge to just write little notes about my day! I can check in with my self on how I am feeling. It gives you different categories to remember the day by, like weather, hobbies you practiced, and meals you’ve eaten so far. I love that there is the option to add more categories! I added anxiety and happiness levels of the day! I can’t wait to have a note done for each day this month so that I can look back on it and remember everything I did!

This kind of feels like a more achievable type of diary. I was never able to actually start and continue a diary in my life 😅 but this feels so much simpler and really makes me excited to think about my day! 100% recommend for anyone who wants a moment of peace and thoughtfulness in their day!!

one of my fav apps

i don’t write a whole lot of reviews but i genuinely love DailyBean. if there is any part of you that thinks you will take a couple minutes to fill it out each day, absolutely download it. i have a reminder set for 9:30 each night, and i love sitting and reflecting on my day really quick and getting to document my mood, my habits, add a few pictures if i’ve taken them, and typing out the things that happened. very user friendly, and you set your own precedent for how long you’ll use it. don’t wanna write anything out or add pictures? great! there’s no need. you can literally take two minutes to tap the circle that matches the weather for the day, whether you remembered to take your medicine or not, your mood, and which meals you ate. you could even just take the 10 seconds to open DailyBean , track your mood for the day, and then close it. you’ll be able to see your mood board for the month. i love the timeline, it’ll be super awesome to look back on later and reflect on some of my great days each month. i also love that you can specifically look for which days you documented a certain mood, certain weather, etc. DailyBean is amazing and it makes every day that i use it a little brighter. shoutout to the creators for that <3

More of a tracking App

DailyBean is beautifully designed, and there are plenty of ways to record and monitor what you’ve been up to by clicking on toggle buttons.

Fortunately, if all you’re looking to do is keep track of your habits so that you can view them on flow charts and bar graphs, this is the place for you.! They even allow you to make your own buttons so you can track your life kind of like scoring or leveling up on a video game as you improve your habits. It makes practicing life fun and easy!

However, for those of us that benefit from organizing our thoughts and reflecting on them, there’s only one place each day where you can enter a text entry, and it’s given the lowest priority at the very bottom of the data entry scroll. It’s simply referred to as a note. So, If you’re looking for a journal that will help you organize your thoughts for reflection, you will need to go elsewhere.

This app is helping me turn my life around

After going through some really rough times, I found DailyBean like fate if it’s real. It combines access from anywhere and bullet journaling, which I loved doing. But the journal was way too inconvenient with my busy schedule and I’m an over critical perfectionist. I’d tear out page after page of my journals until the one sheet was PERFECT. So annoying and a waste. I love the look of DailyBean and the beans.
My favorite feature is the custom block icon. I add everything from taking my meds on time, to skin care, to working out, to which days I see my indoor/outdoor kitty. It makes it so much easier and I love how I can add as many icons as I want.
I can’t wait for new beans and new icons. I hope they add a ‘notes’ tab or feature where I can keep lists, notes like bills and due dates, etc within DailyBean too.

I love it but

I absolutely love DailyBean. I think it’s super cute, easy to use and effective for tracking how my day went. However, I wish they had more variation in the rate your day category. I feel like the neutral face is too broad of a category- like when your day is still better than yesterday but not really worth a smiley face, but yesterdays bean was already the neutral face. If I just rate it as a neutral face, it messes up my statistics about my good and bad days. If I rate it as a happy face, it messes up my mood flow. I know DailyBean is marketed as the easiest mood tracker, so I would suggest adding an option that allows the user to create their own moods and add them to both the “rate my day” aspect as well as the “emotion” aspect. Other than that, I find this incredibly helpful for the forgetful depressed.

Two weeks in…

I’m only two weeks in to using DailyBean, but when added as a calendar widget on my home screen on my phone, it’s cute and clear and easy to see which days you’ve done.
It is one of the easiest journaling apps I’ve used, and one of the only ones that has been able to keep my attention for this long.
Although, I would like it if we could add more items in the categories, like in the Hobbies section, there is a Painting option, but no Drawing or Dancing or Knitting option, which could easily be customized by the user - instead of adding one new block at the bottom of the page.
Speaking of customizing, I know the theme is peas in a pod (right?) but if the colors or themes could be unlocked as time goes on, or as holidays happen, or seasons, etc. it would keep attentions easier and it would add a creative kick to it. Besides that bit- of simple cosmetics -
If it weren’t for the limited options, it would easily be 4-5 stars.

Super easy for somebody like me to keep track of the important stuff!

I struggle with pretty severe OCD and the anxiety that issue induces in me. It has always been difficult for me to focus on journaling / mood tracking, since it’s either all or nothing. Meaning, either I spend five hours on a single page in my journal, erasing and rewriting, fixing and fine-tuning for no reason, or I don’t journal at all and have absolutely no way to keep track of anything. DailyBean was a wonderful find, as it is simple, easy to use, and doesn’t trigger my OCD at all. I pay for the premium subscription bc I wanted the little kitty beans! :•)

It’s been so difficult for me to find a tracking app that actually helps me instead of making me even more anxious, so I’d recommend this to absolutely anybody :3

Lovely App

In all honesty, this is probably one of the best journaling type apps I’ve ever used! Unlike most similar apps I’ve seen in the past (which don’t have a great layout), DailyBean’s layout is very visually appealing and super cute!! Besides that, it’s got tons more helpful features. As someone with bipolar, it’s important for me to track my mood and in DailyBean I can not only easily record it with the cute little beans, but I am given lots of extremely helpful charts where I can see my mood and search it’s relation to different things over time. Also, you can set a daily reminder for yourself to record your day! DailyBean is honestly so so so helpful and I want to both thank the developers for creating it and say to others that this is definitely worth getting :)

Loving this app + suggestions.

i have been using DailyBean for a few days now. it’s been great & i’ve never been able to keep up with journaling before. Now i am doing so well keeping up. I’m adding suggestions to my review, only because DailyBean has so much room for growth! i’ve been obsessing over DailyBean for days & i love the custom options. It’s a very simple journal to use & has an adorable interface with themes! It’s lovely to use & log things about my day. I love that you can add up to 3 daily photos. really helps build those highlights of your days! I highly suggest DailyBean to anyone! it’s amazing & i use it daily.

On to my suggestions 🥰

one huge thing i feel DailyBean lacks is it’s use of note blocks. They are great. But it would be awesome if we had the ability to make extra note blocks with custom titles. so we could make note blocks like “what am i grateful for today” etc. it would be amazing to be able to log more info, positivity & gratuity journaling all into one.

The ability to rearrange icons inside blocks would be interface handy, and just a small touch.

More icons would be lovely!

Never had a journal I wanted to use before??

I have used this app for a little over a month. I have only missed it 4 days. DailyBean has the most peaceful green interface that makes you want to journal in it. The icons are generic (in a good way) and the tappable icons are grouped in categories. [Example: EMOTION: happy, forlorn, suspicious, exhausted SOCIAL: friend, family, acquaintance, nemesis, work, none] It’s kind of difficult to adjust the options. The icon isn’t well marked. Maybe by design? BUT they’re adjustable. Ads are minimal. I miss being able to buy apps outright instead of bleeding a little money every month. No one was willing to pay $30 for a good app so now we have $9.99/mo subscriptions. shoutout to the other apps that have a reasonably more expensive buy-it-outright IAP.
Anyway.

this app is a great app. The developers regularly release updates to it. The icons are cute. 10/10.

Aside: I set mine with a Shortcuts App automation that transfers me directly to DailyBean when my phone goes into “Bedtime” mode at 10:15. It has kept me super consistent. this app’s questions are streamlined enough that it’s not jarring.

Amazing app

Best app ever for journaling and keeping track of your life! I love how customizable the categories are. I can put in exactly how I felt, what I did that day, and track my sleep too. I also love that I can add pictures and notes to the day. The whole look of DailyBean is cute and aesthetically pleasing, especially when you look back and tap on days and see the attached pictures and notes. I highly recommend the premium version for the insights on how often you feel an emotion, how often you do this or that activity, etc. I use DailyBean to track my mental health and to motivate myself to complete goals. It’s so satisfying to mark down all of the household chores I did for the day! 😆

By

Fantastic journaling app!

I’ve been using it for about a month now and I actually love it! There’s not an overwhelming amount of ads and it’s super easy to navigate. You can pick your overall mood for the day with a face icon but then there’s still a place where you can journal as much as you want for that day and even add a picture and track your sleep. You can see your overall mood for ea h day in a month to see how it fluctuated and what the average was. It also makes comparisons like moods and activities that are commonly paired together. There is a premium version but I’m completely satisfied so I don’t feel the need to purchase it. Overall, I have absolutely no complaints!

Helping

I found out about DailyBean via Instagram and it’s been very helpful. Personally, I’ve become more nonchalant visually but have become extremely anxious with everything around me DailyBean is helping a lot with my anxiety since it keeps everything organize and lets me see which days I was genuinely happy. It’s a very cute layout and aesthetic which that itself helps a lot also. It’s a calming aesthetic. Thank you to whoever made this because even tho it doesn’t seem like much, DailyBean is what keeps me sane.

My favorite app

I love DailyBean so much, the design is sooo cute, and i'm always so excited to record my day. I've tried a lot of apps like this, and this one is by far my favorite ♡´・ᴗ・`♡

By

amazing app

I love DailyBean as it gives me a moment to myself and nobody else. It looks extremely modern and aesthetically pleasing as well as works perfectly. The reason I gave it 3 stars is because I just got a pop-up saying I have to watch ads or pay. It really bummed me out but i understand the company needs to make money.❤️

By

It’s so cute

It matches the aesthetic I chose really well and DailyBean is super good for someone as forgetful as I am I’ll know what I did that day just by the little details I chose :)
