What used to be a usable app has now become a lag and bug filled experience. I don’t mind that ads have been added in (the developers need to monetize somehow), but I do mind if the developers don’t implement the advertisement system well. For the past week I’ve been unable to open 城巴Citybus without it crashing before I can even get to my bus number, effectively rendering the experience useless.
With the latest update of 城巴Citybus there are suddenly large advertisements and auto play videos that cover up most of the screen. They really slow down 城巴Citybus and seem to cause crashes. Is this an infected version of 城巴Citybus ? It is hard to believe the bus service would ruin such a decent app on purpose!
Used to be useful, now full of crap ads that make it take forever or lock up.
You can’t pass until you press clock the ad and make open Safari.

App crashes at least every day. I use twice a day only. That's too often.
Information and real time data is great - but 城巴Citybus is super unstable, laggy, and full screen ads while you’re rushing to catch a bus on time degrade the experience.
Ads everywhere. App is much more cluttered and slow. App itself is not even working. CitybusNWFB should be ashamed. This is a senseless money grab that has turned a useful app into junk.
Essentially unusable. Crashes so often you can’t get any info out of it. The UI is terrible, the ads are badly located/inserted in the experience, and the close box on the ads is poorly designed.
When you need bus information, you are forced to watch 5 seconds of ads first. This is just wrong.
城巴Citybus said the bus would come in 2 minutes but then when I checked again it said 10 minutes meaning I missed the bus. Fix it felix

App crashes every time. Can't load anything useful. Suddenly ads every where. Is the company not making enough from bus fares and advertising on bus? If you're gonna add ads, at least make them less intrusive
If I had choice not to render any star, that would be my choice.
I wasted all my time trying to figure out and hope that work and finally realized all pages screens just pictures, Hahaha!
I downloaded 城巴Citybus to my iPhone. When I opened it, it only showed the instructions and nothing else. There is no buttons to get into 城巴Citybus . I know it works in my sister’s Samsung phone. Weird. So disappointed.
城巴Citybus worked fine until last update. Now the ads lack an exit button, 城巴Citybus reaction is ALOT slower than before, it hangs often. Its basically unusable for tracking next bus arrival time, which is the main reason to use it!
城巴Citybus has always had an awful, awful interface, but that’s basically a signature design element for apps from this type of organization in HK.
What’s new is the addition of ugly, low-res (read: so, so pixelated) advertisements, made all the more offensive by non-standard UI for dismissing them.
This is particularly shi++y for a transport app that is often used in time-sensitive moments.
I, for one, am keeping a list of each advertiser on 城巴Citybus so I can stop doing business with them and tell my friends to do the same.
Unstable. Crashes all the time. UI and navigation versus transport apps in Singapore I have used is challenging to say the least, difficult to use, clunky and even integration within 城巴Citybus is so bad that you have to come out and start again. Sadly this is the one that the Transport Department puts on its website. Should be taken off 城巴Citybus Store. Asia’s worst transport app !!!
城巴Citybus needs to provide route info without need for internet connection. See MTR app for a great example.
