This is pretty good so far. I have two suggestions to make it even easier to use:

1. Arrange for an autorotate so when I use my iPad in a horizontal or landscape mode (which is always due to my attached keyboard) I don't have to twist my neck awkwardly to read it.

2. The feedback via notifications is nice, but it would be better if the feedback was included on the same page as the answer that I provided. In other words, the notification says something like "Thank you for...", please click for your answer. I don't always remember my answer, so I click, but then I don't have the patient's response. I then have to click back to see it again.

These are small things, but they would improve the user experience significantly.

this app for Doctors has always thought very highly of itself. It's like going to a basketball game where the flashing lights, color commentary, and video and audio displays make the actual play on the court look dull and wan by comparison. But at least it more or less worked. This latest version is supposed to be a big update and improvement. Maybe it will be eventually, but it isn't yet. It is buggy and balky. Needs a bit of work before it's ready for prime time.

It takes a lot of time once you submit answers, rather frustrating.

It's very user friendly. I have patients contacting me at all hours of the day ( night ) from all over the world. They have ordinary questions which they could not ask their doctors, or very complicated issues that were not addressed by their physicians. I have responded to primary care and Ophthalmology patients receiving 190 thank you notes 234 followers 525 Dr agrees. I can help patients anywhere anytime for Free with a smile. I Love it You must try it !

this app design to increase access for patients to healthcare without limitation of borders. HealthTap dance at the frontier of future delivery of medical care. It's designed to bring patients closer to medical providers 24 hours a day, seven days a week. It is a must have App for all physicians and patients. I highly recommend HealthTap .

HealthTap is smooth, clean, and works great on my iPhone 6.

The Concierge service is amazing. For all those things that doctors do that don't get reimbursed (especially things like phone visit follow ups, refills, etc), Concierge can be a great way to expand access and do it in a way that makes sense financially for doctor and patient.

HealthTap makes it easy for me to answer questions while i have a few spare moments.
Not sure why I like it so much, but I'm really enjoying working through the questions. Feels good to help people, making use of down times. Wishlist: let me set my favorite topics for questions, like I can on the web.

Great mobile companion to make use of time anywhere to be able to help patients by answering their questions. More ability to write answers the way you need to and correct typos before sending out. Ability to add images a plus. Overall much improved functionality!

Technological revolution has its rewards! Certainly Health Tap is one of the pioneers in bringing patients and doctors together and it has created an environment in which both benefit ! It has transcended time and place- Patients donot have to travel miles to dr's office, and Drs donot have to go to a place called ""office"" to be available for that period of time. There are times when physicL examination is a must , rest of it can be done remotely. Health Tap is here to serve" the nation", let me correct it to serve " the world".

As a physician who uses this app, I like HealthTap very much. I find that it is a convenient and effective way to keep in touch with patients, answer their medical questions & solve their medical problems in a manner that traditional practice can not. HealthTap expands the doctor-patient relationship into an area free from the influence (or, rather, encumbrance) of big health insurance companies and mega hospital conglomerates. It's a small but important step towards the future of healthcare: reconnecting a doctor to the patient without anyone else in the room.

Most people play angry birds in their free time . Instead, I like to log into HealthTap and help people all over the world pro bono by answering medical questions for people who do not have access to medical resources for a myriad of reasons. The questions are organized so you can choose to answer questions in a particular category, or you can jump in anywhere at random. The patients are always very grateful and they send you thank you notes. I have answered questions for people in India, Pakistan, the USA, and lots of other places. You don't have to answer any question you don't want to. It's the best volunteer activity I have ever had, but there is now an option where you can develop a FFS type online practice. I love it!

The concept of health Is brilliant.

I give it five stars not because it is absolutely perfect, it's not, but given the plethora of devices and complex interactions it must keep with users as well as their own idiosyncrasies when it comes to using a program as interactive as this one I think you have to give it a five star rating despite it's minor imperfections.

For example, the program sometimes spontaneously makes you "unavailable" and that can be a real downer especially if you're not watching your clock and are off-line for more than five minutes per hour. But usually, a quick call to tech-support and you can fix the problem. Nevertheless, they need to fix that glitch.

Then, there is the inability to actually sign out or go to another part of the this app Program or application platform when you are doing a consultation on a smart phone. You literally have to reboot your phone to get out of that consultation note mode and be able to sign back into the program. That is really inconvenient and a time waster as well as potentially causing one to lose consults due to the boot up and boot down time of the phone.

As a physician, I must say this could be one of the first (quoting Steve Jobs) "insanely great" medical apps out there. More accurately, it's not so much HealthTap as it is the concept. Give docs a way to practice and make a living in a "virtual" clinic. Eliminate the excess costs of receptionists, M.A.s, billers, office space rent, medical supplies, office supplies, etc. Let me sell my one valuable asset, my knowledge and problem solving ability (I.e., my brain power) with no overhead cost, in an instantly accessible environment for a very low cost to consumers. It's a win-win for everyone. All they need now is for the world to catch on. If docs would sign up, then patients will follow. They need a few high profile docs to promote it (like Dr. Oz) and it will be revolutionary. Otherwise, it's just a gimmick for geeky physicians like me.

this app for Doctors is a great state of the art app that helps patients as well as doctors in several ways. Doctors can answer general health questions that benefit thousands of patients. Doctors can also invite their own patients and respond to curbside private consults. Telemedicine, Telehealth is a great tool to improve access. this app for Doctors provides the perfect platform to implement Telehealth and Concierge Medicine in your practice. I have used several Telemedicine apps. this app is by far the best and most comprehensive app I have used. It makes implementation and documentation a seamless process. The video conferencing is of superb quality. Doctors are also able to use this app to review and recommend apps for their patients and colleagues. It also enables doctors to publish care guides for common medical conditions and review the usefulness of various treatments. It is a fun app that makes you feel good and do good. It is a must have app.

I'm an internal medicine physician who uses HealthTap to see patients after hours (patients who work during normal hours and cannot take time off) and because I enjoy answering patient questions (it's fun). This is a reasonably well designed app for virtual patient care for my needs (mostly casual use). The main problem with this application is that patient questions are submitted "raw" and are usually poorly worded and ambiguous. Thus, a common reply to patients is "see your doctor" because there is no sensible answer to what the patient asked. There should be a patient question "moderation" or "question review" where questions are reviewed with respect to are they appropriate. The patient questions should be filtered in some way: is this question something that should be asked on this system ... i.e., "What should I do about this crushing chest pain?" Is not an appropriate question --- the patient needs to dial 911 and get help live and in person. In some cases the question is not even coherent ... something like "I have big fingers" ... which may be a poor Google translation of a complicated question; incoherent questions should be returned to sender for clarification. The system is set up so that physicians can "invite" patients to see them over this system. For many older / non-internet using patients, this system is too difficult to use. Otherwise, this is a nice system and has a "free" and a "paid" mode of use. Thus, it may be possible to build an online patient base with the free mode and then switch to the paid mode when the demand / volume of patients justifies making the switch.
