Spam is out of control
The app itself is fine, and I used to use it quite regularly. Recently, however, spam (fake profiles asking you to visit a website) is out of control. I've turned off notifications because of it; please work on a filter to get back to how good the app used to be.

FAKE PROFILES
A nice idea though I don’t see the need to categorize the chats as they are. The main problem are the fakes; at best they waste time, but at worst they’ll scam you out of money and potentially your identity. I don’t know if that’s really possible, but I’m sure lots of folks enable location tags on pics and I know one’s email is linked to many apps, including bank apps. Even if that isn’t a problem, this app needs to do more. If I, a user, can find where the same photo has been used in three profiles, then surely a tech company can do the same- and I’ve reported quite a few profiles. I have a photo storage app that automatically identifies and collates pictures of people; why does this app do that? I’ve been chatted up by no fewer than FIFTEEN fake scammers in one week. this app does offer nice advice on instant protestations of love and “too good to be true” issues, and boy do these fakes deliver there. Military, on a mission but coming home soon, maybe a dog or two... strange though, that a guy supposedly born and raised in the states can’t type in English. It’s more than just grammatically poor, it’s absolutely incomprehensible. this app needs to find a way to weed these out somehow. I’ll be deleting my account soon, but I’ve started having fun messing with the fakers’ minds a bit. If all I can find are fakes, I don’t need it.

New Version has too many fails
2 stars for trying but the end result is the app just tries your patience. It’s needlessly complex with chats divided into Primary, Requests and All - which is made worse by false alerts for new messages when what’s really happened is that a previously opened message somehow changes back to new unopened. Message alerts do not go away easily - you need to refresh each type of chat to kill them dead. As others have noted: Pop-up ads are constant and like those alerts are like the undead - they just keep coming. On the plus side you can now copy the text in a profile and copy it to Google translator, which here in Thailand is very helpful. KISH: keep it simple, this app and it’ll work a lot better.
