After Apple went iOS11 EXTENSIONS is no longer in Alpha numerical order!!! Called Vonage Aeveral Times, THEY DO NOT CARE!
80% of calls to Cebu Philippines are not making it through; I pay $29 for 3000 minutes in Globe and network Quality is extremely degraded in las 6-months (way too-many Filipino Subscribers).
Calls to SUN NETWORKS (the network of the poor) are billed from time that STARTS RINGING (Against USA LAW) calls must be completed (answered) BEFORE it can be billed; CALLS TO CEBU SUN NETWORKS ARE IMPOSSIBLE they never get connected; you get 3-calls billed per minute because VONAGE charge start as soon as you are ringing (not connected) Have to call Vonage CS several times because OVER-BILLING!!! Several calls for low (terrible) quality.
THEY FLAT OUT REFUSE TO UPDATE EXTENSIONS APP since iOS11, everyone else did but VONAGE REFUSES. I would given them ZERO STARS IF I COULD. T

I’ve had Vonage for almost 20 years and it’s always been ok until a few weeks ago. Now, if there is an incoming call and we answer it on the home phone, after a couple of minutes it starts ringing on my cell phone, doesn’t matter if we are already speaking on the call on the home phone or even have finished the call and hung up. It just rings and rings on the cell phone for an hour or more unless you answer it again on the cell phone and then cancel it. Real pain if the cell phone is in the truck and not with you like mine is most of the time. Drains the battery. Vonage said to uninstall and reinstall VonageHomeExtensions then hard reset the Vonage box but that made no difference and today I can’t even contact them due to something about a one sign error whatever that is. May be looking for a new voip carrier.

I’ve been using the Vonage app for two weeks and it can be frustrating. Calls have a habit of cutting out mid-sentence or there are noticeable delays after talking before the other person responds. None of this happened when I’m using Vonage on a landline in my house. Being on WIFI doesn’t help. Another huge problem is VonageHomeExtensions is somewhat clunky feeling and extremely slow to respond. VonageHomeExtensions just seems dated. There’s quite a delay in playing voicemails after tapping the button or any button. Great idea but a bit disappointed with VonageHomeExtensions .

I use the extensions app on iPhone X with iOS 11.4 (latest app version and iOS version). When I open VonageHomeExtensions for the first time, it works very well. After completing the call, when I hit the home button and go to something else such as email or safari or another app and then come back to Vonage app again, VonageHomeExtensions becomes non responsive to touch and is basically frozen. I have to kill VonageHomeExtensions and then relaunch it to get it to work again. Happens EVERY SINGLE TIME. Happens on two of my phones and I recently changed my mobile device and it’s still happening. So it is clearly an issue with VonageHomeExtensions not working well with iPhone X or iOS. Please fix it. It is annoying to have to kill VonageHomeExtensions after each use to reuse it again.

Also - Occasionally previously I had an issue where when I call from my contacts or recents from VonageHomeExtensions , I hear a ringing tone and then Vonage would ask me to enter the PIN number and then dial the number that I wanna call again. Doesn’t seem to be happening lately. So I guess that is fixed.

Please fix these issues especially the crashes/freezes asap. It is annoying.

In general I’m fairly happy with the Extensions app. I like that I can answer and place calls from my Vonage phone number while away from my desk. My only problem is that when I receive an incoming call it doesn’t show the caller ID. It only shows the phone number and it says that it’s a Vonage Extensions call. So the workflow this forces me into is to not answer the phone call. Then I can open the Vantage extensions app look in the history and then I can see who called and then I can call them back. Also I wish that it didn’t log a fun age extension incoming calls in my native phone app history.

Vonage is great but a couple things in VonageHomeExtensions need to be changed. We get a ton of telemarketer/ robocalls on our home Vonage line (4-5 or more a day) and they always ring on my cell phone and show up in my iPhone recent calls but hardly ever show up in the Vonage app anymore, even when it's open. I WAS blocking repeat offender numbers in VonageHomeExtensions but can't do that anymore as they don't show up. Maybe there's another way to block numbers online but it's so much easier to do it in VonageHomeExtensions .

Having it open on the contacts list is also annoying.

It is nice to get some calls when away from home so I think it is definitely worth getting VonageHomeExtensions in spite of its current shortcomings.

Don’t download VonageHomeExtensions because I have experienced an unusual problem of the vonage telephone number not working upon using VonageHomeExtensions. For example, the phone line has been working perfectly but I was unable to place a phone call using that number and when I was using this phone to place a call to my home vonage phone line, it was recorded that the ‘phone number is temporarily unavailable’. “Or the number you are calling is temporary unavailable”. I’m having tough luck trying to report this problem to Vonage technician. The fax line and it’s telephone number remained unaffected by this problem.

I use VonageHomeExtensions daily and I think it needs two most important updates:
1. Please remove the intro sound when I make a call. It's plain annoying especially when I have to make calls from office. Not sure what purpose it serves.
2. When VonageHomeExtensions is launched after exiting it completely. Please make the recent calls as the start screen. I don't like the way it displays the contacts list. I make daily calls to specific set of folks I'm sure it would be the same for a lot of people and this adds an unnecessary user action which can be avoided. The Rebtel app has a really good user interface maybe you guys can redesign a thing or two. Thanks!!

Wi-Fi idialing works but not everywhere some places like hospitals will allow dialing out through magicJack but they don’t work on Wi-Fi with Vonage also the device must have a connected cell phone number to install magicJack does not require this and allows you to install it on devices like iPhones that do not have any cell service so that they can be used at Wi-Fi locations it also allows installation on the laptops and tablets whereas Vonage extensions does not overall it’s very good but only if youHave cell service on the device vantage is limited whereas magicJack has a wider range of devices and for some unknown reason works in more locations than Vonage extension for Wi-Fi dialing

I have been having lots of problems with Vonage since I installed it in my new IPHONE. Every time I place a call, after talking 5 or 10 seconds the line drops and disconnects. I have to wait for at least a minute before I can try again. I never had a problem with my old phone by since the last Vonage update I have had all kinds of problems. I used to have Vonage on a phone at home but even that phone was getting a lot of static and problems we finally got rid of it. I really need help. Techi2

So convenient to be able to make international calls wherever I am, AND to answer my business phone in or out of the office. Love that portion of VonageHomeExtensions .

Needs to fix:
Manage Home Acct: keeps going back to sign in sheet after checking each voice message. Very time consuming and awkward.

Update: it keeps you signed in now but still now easy to check voicemail, keeps going back to home page and its takes About 5 steps to get back each time, sometimes have about 15 voicemails so it gets to be time consuming ... Please fix and then it will be perfect!

Update: Voicemail rerouting has been fixed, thank you. Ability to enable ‘badges’ notifications on screen for voicemails is not available, would like to see this in next update. It’s been over a year since last update so hopefully iOS 14 update is coming soon and will fix this problem.

I've used Vonage at home for 10 years and the extensions app from when it first came out. I find it most useful for making calls when I am overseas and don't want to use precious cell minutes.

VonageHomeExtensions works most of the time even with slower internet speeds. It gives a warning when the bandwidth is insufficient. I have not had a problem with dropped calls.

My only problem is that occasionally VonageHomeExtensions quits on startup for no apparent reason. Restarting gets it to function again.

I have been a loyal customer of Vonage since 2005. Vonage is a great service and I love having a United States number anywhere I travel in the world. I have a D-Link Vonage box with a regular number and a fax line. The extensions app is amazing and extends my main home number to both cellphones in our home. I am glad they have brought native call into VonageHomeExtensions which is amazing rather than having to tap notifications to answer the call. The only drawback is when I receive an extensions call and answer it there isn't any function that allows me to put the call in speaker phone mode. Please fix that issue.

It is a good app from Vonage but several times the quality of the call is either not that good or it gets not that good after few minutes. I know is not the quality of the internet because several times I called right away via Skype and it always works perfect. They should also improve the search feature because you have to write the contact name as it is or otherwise it will not find it. Even if you write the last name, it will not find it.

This service is the best. My daughter is studying abroad and this helps so much with me being able to keep in contact with her without having to pay an enormous phone bill. The communication is clear and feels like I'm talking to her from right across the street. The only downside is that she's sometimes not connected to Wi-Fi on her cellphone so I have to contact her through other means... but that's not often the case. Highly recommend Vonage extensions!

The cheapest of its kind, very functional, easy to use, so many great features at your finger tips wether it be Vonage for business or home. The one feature that I’d love to have as an option, for customers with multiple lines under one account. That there be one window/interface where you can receive all of your content from each line with notifications & full options as we are able to do now but only with the one line. So you can see your call log, receive messages & reply rather then having to login/out to each line through VonageHomeExtensions or have multiple windows open on a computer. Still unable to receive notifications for any other line then the one currently logged into at the moment. Would be an absolute astounding upgrade for me! Besides that I live Vonage & all the options it gives me at my fingertips! Thank You 🧡Vonage🧡

Now retired from the states, my mother has had MagicJack here in Colombia. But for some reason lately the static, echoes and interference have been pretty annoying. So as a fluke - during this business trip here - I decided to try “Vonage Extensions” from my cellphone. WOW the quality and clarity have been outstanding to the point that since last week I stopped using the other and have called friends and home using only Vonage extensions. As long as you have WIFI it truly gave me a sense of freedom to call in to meetings and not worry about the line static. GREAT JOB LOVE IT ! We travel often so now know I have another means of communication on my cellphone

I have been a Vonage customer for about five years now, and found the Extensions app to be particularly useful when I was in the hospital/rehab center following back surgery. The "SimulRing" feature is especially good, in that it allows you to pick up either your cell phone, or your home phone. As with any other IP-based telephone service, you become aware that when your Internet connection goes down, everything goes down – – except Extensions. If you have Vonage, just try it.

I originally got the Vonage for home office calls but followed up when Vonage expanded into international long distance and offered a promotional special in early part of 2018. Although I am a bit jaded from bad experiences w other American phone companies (V; T), and Vonage would not provide a written account of the promotional offer terms as were explained by their customer service reps over the phone, the customer service quality is quite good and I remain somewhat hopeful they will keep their end of the bargain, at least for a time!

Connection between USA and Beijing has been working quite well w decent quality too even when using the Vonage mobile Extensions program!

We have had Vonage since they started and could not be happier with every aspect of this company.... product, customer service, price. We travel internationally a lot and we never miss a call because we have it set up to simultaneously call our cell phone wherever we are. The extension app works like a charm. When traveling, even if we have a SIM card from another international company in our phone, we can always make local and international calls using our foreign data. Boomerang also allows family and friends who live overseas to call our home number for free..... which of course finds us wherever we are, as it simultaneously calls our cell phone. We could not recommend Vonage enough. We have never had a problem with anything related to Vonage.... it is simply a company and service that works and the price is incredible for all the different ways that we use it.
