I just downloaded DogBuddy and one of the first things I noticed was when entering a dogs information you cannot change the birthdate. It automatically switches it back to today. Not impressed after having DogBuddy for about one minute. Moving on.
DogBuddy is not good. It asked me to rate and review DogBuddy once I opened it and will not let me click on anything. So now all of my dogs data is stuck in app and I can’t view it or get out the screen. Do not get DogBuddy!! I just downloaded a different app so I can officially switch. Hopefully all of my puppy’s records aren’t gone forever
I have been using DogBuddy without issues for a year, but now once I open DogBuddy , it ask me to “rate the dog buddy” and freeze. Doesn’t take me anywhere. I have a lot of records in DogBuddy already which I cannot even retrieve now... Developer should fix this issue immediately. Very frustrated and disappointed.
Great concept but it’s falling short. It allows you to add several different animals but it doesn’t allow you to track their info separately. I will keep looking for an app that does.
Example- If you enter the weight (15.9) for dog #1, there is no way to enter dog #2 info in a separate area. So when you put in the weight of dog #2 (15.4) it days dog #1 has lost .05 ounces. I can’t figure out why DogBuddy would be designed this way.
DogBuddy is great, I’m using it in preference to one that our vet provided. My major complaint is the file sharing rigamarole required to share data between iPad and iPhone. The process is 1990 vintage. Provide easy synching, and DogBuddy would be five stars.
Overall the UI and basic functionality of DogBuddy is OK but definitely needs to be improved.
I upgraded from the free (trial) version which allows you the ability to only enter info for 1 dog....I have 3 so i paid for the full version.
DogBuddy currently only allows you to enter/track the weight for 1 animal, not multiple ones like i have, nor is there a data field in the “ WEIGHT” section where you can either choose a check box to the select the name of the pet you want to input data for or type the pet’s name manually.
I hope the developer(s) actively work on DogBuddy and will improve/upgrade it soon.
DogBuddy is better than most other apps in that it lets you record vaccination dates. However, you can only set reminder for the current year. My dog had he vaccination in September and there’s no way to set a reminder for one year fro now. The same goes for license registration and vet visit dates.
Really like the functionality of DogBuddy , but wish there was more space to type information.
DogBuddy is really great! I love how it keep all of my fur-baby’s data in one place. The ONE thing I would suggest to the creator would be to make it shareable. It would be great if the hubby and I could both add to it and have the data on both our phones without both having to enter it individually. That would make this a truly 5 star app!
Using it to track a litter of 10! It would be great if it was easier to add weights for multiple dogs, like maybe selecting which dog when adding the weight?
It has definitely been a great tool for tracking everyone’s progress.
I use DogBuddy to monitor the health of my 15 year old chihuahua. He has degenerative valve disease and is starting to experience senior dog cognitive symptoms. This helps me record his symptoms so I can relay them to his vet accurately. It’s been a game changer. Thank you so much. I need a simple app like this for myself! Haha!
DogBuddy is pretty amazing! I just got a new Pomeranian puppy and I log everything from the vaccinations, trainings, images, issues, etc. I'd like to suggest more functionalities with the picture organization. Maybe allow the user to sort them on there own or allow DogBuddy to recognize the date and sort them in that order. Still, DogBuddy is a 5 star for me!
It is a good app whether you have one or more dogs. Its helpful to keep their records readily available at a monument's notice. It is easier to keep your pet’s information on DogBuddy than to have a paper copy.
I'm a dog groomer and I like to keep Track of my dogs needs and Medi and DogBuddy does it all for you I would recommend DogBuddy to anyone looking to have it on hands when needed
I like to keep track of any issues my dog has. Now that he's getting older, the issues are becoming more frequent. The more I use DogBuddy , the more I love it.
I’m not sure why DogBuddy doesn’t have more stars. It logs all the info I need it to log. I even use the diary function to keep up with how often she eats and I made a keyboard shortcut for what she normally has. I only wish that it did syncing automatically instead of having to press the button. All in all I’m thankful I found it!

DogBuddy is literally AMAZING! It is super organized and very helpful. When you first download DogBuddy you enter all the dogs info, like the name, DOB, date you got the dog, microchip info. Once you completed the sign up, you are able to add their weight and do what ever you need to. If you need to keep track of their age, weight, prescription, anything you need download DogBuddy!
As an owner of a new adopted puppy, DogBuddy is handy keeping track of all her pertinent information.
This application is simple to use. Clear buttons navigate you through all the areas of DogBuddy . Simple formats guide you through everything you need to do. It’s a great app for medications and a alarm when to take them. A biography area for your pets information. All sorts of cool listings and all to benefit you and your fur baby. I like this application very much!
I looked at a few apps to log my new puppy activities and DogBuddy was the only free app that had the diary feature that lets you chronicle your puppy journey! It also has many features to help you keep track of your puppy’s health and diet!
