Expected an audio tour with audio triggered by GPS location. GettysburgBattleApp was no better than the Park Service map

My iPhone is set to disallow location services by default, but even after enabling this specific app, when the GPS option was selected, it still said location services would not work until I restarted GettysburgBattleApp ...which I did multiple times. It would've been nice to have an app that showed where we were in the battlefield. Our Gettysburg trip is over and GettysburgBattleApp is as useful now as it was during our trip (sic).

App was great but now vids in app keep crashing ?

Taking my son there for re-enactment the next 2 years. Thik this will be a big help as I looked at it but know much of gettysburg. Son is more thrilled about it than I am. He heard me say it had Devil's den and that was enough. I want more apps like this.

Great app. I've been going there since I was born and been reading about it since I could read. Very accurate and easy navigated. It was a lot of fun to use. Is there any chance of a part 2 to GettysburgBattleApp so other parts of the gettysburg battlefield can be covered and enjoyed like this one. Like wheatfield, peach orchard or culps hill and cemetery hill?

All of these Battle Apps are wonderful. Gettysburg was so big in scale that I look forward to other points of the battle being covered in further apps.

I love to go to Gettysburg and GettysburgBattleApp will make the trip even more fun. As soon as I got GettysburgBattleApp I had to tell my oldest daughter about it. She is a history major. She likes as well. Thank you for making free as well!!!

I haven't had a chance to check out all the additions, but GettysburgBattleApp used to only include devils den and little round top. Now all 3 days of the battle are included! Will be using this on my second trip ever to Gettysburg later this year

A great way tour Gettysburg! I love the ability to see where I am located within the historic battle. The historical research is solid and easy to read and reread at you leisure. Great videos, images, and design. GettysburgBattleApp combines history, technology, and the user experience beautifully.

The level of content is unparalleled by any other Civil War application. There is so much here that you can pick and choose the manner on which you interact with GettysburgBattleApp . It is almost as applicable even if you are not on the battlefield!

This is a great app for when visiting Gettysburg.

As you drive, bike, walk around the Battlefield GettysburgBattleApp will use GPS to show you where you are in the Battlefield and important locations and events that happened there.

You can have GettysburgBattleApp show you information by day of the battle and by the forces at Battle —for example, show the actions of Union forces on Day 2.

Some of the people in my group did not have cellular signal at all places on the Battlefield and GettysburgBattleApp has the ability to download the maps in case you don’t have signal.

I highly recommend GettysburgBattleApp when you visit Gettysburg —it adds a lot of information and makes the experience more educational and more informative.

Our family used the GPS option of GettysburgBattleApp as we followed the park's Auto Tour signs. The Auto Tour map provided by the Visitors Center only has short paragraphs summarizing points. While GettysburgBattleApp is very informative, well organized, and full of historical photos to help visitors better understand the progression of the three days of the battle.

GettysburgBattleApp I the best thing to happen in Gettysburg since the end of the war. When we got to Gettysburg, we were so lost as to where to start because it's a real big town. GettysburgBattleApp started us at the two biggest battles and worked us from there. It did not cover every battle in town, but it will give u a base as to where to start and what happened there.

This is exactly GettysburgBattleApp I was looking for when I got to Gettysburg. GPS worked great. Love the content download feature. GettysburgBattleApp brought me and my family to sites we never would have found using the park map. There were things not even marked with signs like the actual Devil's Den. I hope the other Gettysburg battles are added in an update. Thanks for the personal tour guide. Great app!

This was a great tool to have on my trip to Gettysburg. The best part is that you can get a lot out of GettysburgBattleApp even off the battlefield, because unfortunately, you can't stay there forever. The battlefield challenges are a great addition as well. 😊 AND it's free!!!!!! I just downloaded the Bull Run app for my next battlefield outing and it looks just as good. Even if you never plan on checking out Gettysburg, GettysburgBattleApp is for you.

I didn't get GettysburgBattleApp as a tour guide as some other users did so I won't comment on that aspect. I got it because I love American History, especially the Civil War. GettysburgBattleApp provides so much detail that I found myself reading for almost an hour. The information is very interesting and not dry. And what's cool is how seamlessly all the information is woven together. (for example, on a battlefield map, click on a general and information about that general and his battles come up.) I would definitely recommend GettysburgBattleApp!

Great app with lots of information about what happened in the battle and easy to access information relevant to which park of the park you’re in.

I am so impressed by GettysburgBattleApp, and it really added to our Gettysburg trip. I read through the battle overview ahead of time, and then we used the map while doing the auto tour to get more in-depth information. Definitely download if heading to Gettysburg.

We were about to buy the audio tour from the gift shop when someone mentioned GettysburgBattleApp to me. What a great suggestion. The GPS enabled map is a masterpiece. The write ups at each stop are concise and informative. The audio and video inserts are great too. Someone spent a LOT of time on GettysburgBattleApp. A masterpiece. can’t believe it is free. Thanks. Can’t recommend enough.

It worked great. The download data feature makes it really nice because I had really poor reception at the battlefields. The GPS feature worked flawlessly and I had no problems. Hopefully more locations are added for future versions, but I can't complain since it was a free app. The coverage of Devil's Den and Little Round Top was thorough.
