Metronome Reviews

All of these metronomes all have the same features, yet none of them are completely free. Some make you buy them for a flat fee, others spam you with micro transactions. I just want to play my instrument. If anyone has a completely free this app please let me know. Also it crashes sometimes.

I’ve used Metronome every day for many years. It was perfect and needed no improvements.

The redesign removing landscape mode is a great disappointment. It makes the tempo scroll wheel and the start and stop buttons much less usable and unattractive to boot.

Metronome used to be perfect. I used it for transcribing, I used it on gigs, I used it for teaching, and I recommended it to all my students. Then it changed. Now it no longer lets Anytune play when going, and the ads constantly popping up make it completely unusable for gigs or even rehearsals. What a shame. All but useless to me now.

This is been my go to this app app for years now… The interface is ugly and difficult to see now, especially in step-up mode which I use all the time. You can barely see the this app now!

They’ve already lost one sale because I just recommended a different app to a student. Hopefully they’ll have time to address the problem. Why not bring the old look back?

I used to love Metronome and recommend it to everyone. However, the newer interface makes it much harder to use. I think the lack of landscape mode made the numbers and buttons much smaller. Now they require a lot of attention to find and adjust, breaking up the flow of the practice session. Please kindly make a new update so I can go back to recommending your app to everyone. Thanks.

For whatever reason the subdivision does not save as I save the set lists. Not sure why? It says that it is 8ths but if you click on it or other so that it changes back to 1/4 which is annoying! But other than that it’s an okay this app. Hopefully they will update it and fix this bug?

I like Metronome overall. Really wish for the tuner I could set it to display flats instead of sharps.

Would be nice too to include a dark theme.

Really like Metronome but wish the this app had a wider variety of sounds or was louder since sometimes I can’t hear it while playing.

Its already an amazing tuner/this app app but it would be even better if we could change the octave at which the pitch feature can be outputted. Thanks!

…but this app+ is an excellent way to make sure I am playing my songs on the piano on beat all the time! This is a really great app overall! 😉

Metronome ’s UI is a m a z i n g and the this app is super flexible! What I don’t like is that you have only 90 secs. for tuning... shouldn’t one of the more basic features be totally free? Just my two cents. Still love Metronome !

So I take Flute outside of school and my teacher suggested Metronome, it works really good. It helps me stay on beat and everything.

Last time I checked it had a stutter issue, no issues now

Choice of this app clicks, easy to use clean looking interface, VERY usable and useful practice setting.

Lack of landscape view, not a deal breaker.

It would be nice if it would vibrate a pulse with the this app. Otherwise I really like this this app

This has so many great parts of a simple beat that you can change to fit any and all musical needs. It’s easy to use and sounds great!

I have been using Metronome for years. The redesign is superior to the original once you learn to use it, and Joe is very prompt and helpful in upgrading aspects of Metronome and helping us over the transition to something new.

Easy to use, flexible.

Good combination of tuner and this app that is intuitive and keeps out of the way.
