Why can’t I find a completely free metronome

All of these metronomes all have the same features, yet none of them are completely free. Some make you buy them for a flat fee, others spam you with micro transactions. I just want to play my instrument. If anyone has a completely free metronome please let me know. Also it crashes sometimes.

This app used to be perfect. I used it for transcribing, I used it on gigs, I used it for teaching, and I recommended it to all my students. Then it changed. Now it no longer lets Anytune play when going, and the ads constantly popping up make it completely unusable for gigs or even rehearsals. What a shame. All but useless to me now.

I’ve used this app every day for many years. It was perfect and needed no improvements.
The redesign removing landscape mode is a great disappointment. It makes the tempo scroll wheel and the start and stop buttons much less usable and unattractive to boot.
