11 months agoWe visited Bremen for a few days and wanted to rent bicycles. We went to the Hauptbahnhof, installed the 'Call-a-Bike' app and took one bicycle with us. A second one (with another account) failed: "Object does not exist". The rate according to the app was 1 euro per hour or 9 euros per day. To our surprise, 86 euros were debited from our account on the first day! When we returned the bike to the station on the third day, the app wouldn't stop the rental period. At this moment the rent is already at 9 days! Contact with "Cal a Bike" is difficult. This is only possible via the app. Responses take days. And both problems have not been solved yet. Calling or emailing is not possible. For comparison: in the same period we rented a bicycle from WK-Bikes. That went without any problems and only cost us 21 euros. We therefore advise against renting a bicycle from 'Call a Bike'. WK-Bikes works much better. Moreover, you can return the bicycle at dozens of points in the city after use, so you do not have to go back to the station.

1 year agoI signed up for the App in Frankfurt and have never been able to find a bike. The app shows bikes available at the stations but when going to that location there are no bikes.

Do not register with this app!!
"Renting not possible, please try another bike in a few minutes." This is the message I get every time I try to rent any bike. After an endless registration and having pay for a "Tariff" I cannot use the bikes. The other app from Ford, is not available on the USA app store.

TOTAL FAIL!!!
Considering how well Germany works, this app and company are absolute disgrace. You can't fully register online, if you have an overseas mobile they tell you to phone in, when you phone and they tell you to go online, I've never encountered something so miserably "designed" in Germany.

Useless
This app is useless. I successfully signed up and put money in my account only do receive the error "Renting not possible. Please try another bike in a few minutes.". Well I have done that and it still doesn't work. This is a waste of time.
