Nice app

Nice app, much easier than website, which of late is difficult to navigate, esp if used to TennisLink . App appears to be cludgy at times. I can be looking at championships section then decide to choose a different team and then hit schedule and it brings back the schedule of the championships team I was previously viewing vs the new team I just selected.
Or as in above review, I can be viewing scores of a match but it doesn’t allow you to scroll down to see D3 match, you have to hold down and try and move screen with finger as much down to get view of that last D3 match. Or sometimes you just aren’t able to even get to the bottom of the screen to view the remainder of items you were looking at as it’s stuck unable to scroll down. Window issues.
Otherwise app very nice for easily seeing everything league related. It would be nice to see more than just 2 years of data. The web version has way more years of info to look at. Instead you have an option to see NEXT year? Not sure why that’s on there. Would be nice to also, as captain, see team player info, which has USTA# of players-useful if needing to register a player last minute before a match and can find player info and # from previously captained team.
Very little to complain about though. Great app.

Outdated and Limited

Nothing has been improved with the most recent update and TennisLink still hasn’t been scaled for newer phones. Why has this lame app NOT been updated to support newer phones with bigger screens?! Nobody uses an iPhone 4 developers!!! It’s been YEARS! Come on guys!!! Also, it has several bugs that you haven’t fixed. They were all listed in my previous review, but I see you made sure to delete it because it truthfully depicted just how bad and outdated TennisLink is. TennisLink needs to be rewritten to allow for the same level of info as is available on your full website... no, not your mobile one because that’s horribly limited too, but your full website. Bottom line, you just need a new app developer because your current one isn't doing the job right.

Buggy

Hi there TennisLink is so buggy it’s so frustrating I constantly have to delete and reload. Just tried again today and still buggy- Really miss tournaments on here I have no idea why they broke that apart it’s a super big drag
I’ve looked multiple times for tournaments and cannot find them anywhere. TennisLink is terrible

Needs Updating/Amateur App

Very disappointed that TennisLink has not been updated in over 2 years. It is frankly hard to take the USTA (and any efforts they have made to improve Tennis in the US) seriously if they can’t even make a decent working app. Their website is not much better but it at least works.

It may be beneficial to put in the additional effort and expense to get a highly rated professional app and website designer. If that was something that you already did, I do not think you made the right selection or got your money’s worth.

Sincerely

And I thought the full site was bad

Completely unintuitive and horribly difficult to navigate. If I want to see any of my own stats and data, I need to either save myself as a favorite player or click on myself through a team roster. If I sign up for a tournament and want to see how many players are in my event before draws are posted, I shouldn’t have to go to the full site. If I see a player I’ll be facing in a tournament, I should be able to see their USTA rating, tournament results, and league stats all just by clicking on the player - like you can when you start from the league page.

Don't bother

App is as bad as the mobile website. Why must I turn TennisLink sideways to see the results? Give me the full website and let me decide how to use it.
EVEN WORSE - it has the same web page bug so if you go to "Find a Ranking" and enter a player's name in the second box area and then after you search for the player and then click on "View Draw" it pulls up a page that won't give you the info. If you look at the URL on the iOS app you can see it adds about 6 or 7 characters to the end of the URL. Reported this 18 months ago but they evidently just don't care.

New Application for iPhone Needs Work

In addition to the other reviews posted on this site, the new app is hard to maneuver on an iPhone. The one thing I was looking for on TennisLink is the ability to print out a blank scorecard. That seems to be missing and requires going to the web to print. I like that you are trying to improve things, but you need a little more work until it is prime time.

Usta mobile app

TennisLink is very useful for checking draws, seeds, and tournaments. However, the website is much better than this because it can do many more things. I would still recommend getting TennisLink because it is more convenient then going to the website. It is also easier to find things than the website. (Lots of bugs though)

Tournaments

App is what I use for tournaments and draws and it's really useful, I was wondering if you guys could do a thing where like it shows all the players that have signed up by division cause before the draws are out it's a pain to see who's playing in your division

Worst app and I’m an app developer

Seriously, get with the times. TennisLink is so user UN-friendly it shouldn’t even be on the market. The search fields to find a tournament is hilarious. Miles range “unlimited” but you can choose a state and city and zip. Why do you give the option if you are searching the whole country anyway. USTA get another developer to remake TennisLink. You are turning off the upcoming generations that want to play tennis because you had the Flintstones make TennisLink.

They lost Interest in the app

TennisLink was working great, now there is no access to the tournaments, it doesn’t even update my profile after singing up for new tournaments. It is disappointing because I really liked TennisLink . Now is not working anymore

Helpful but needs work

Nice to be able to have the team schedule/roster/season rankings readily available on my phone but very frustrating to see functionality to enter scores and not have that functionality actually available for use......

So poorly built

Extremely poorly built and outdated. Lacks basic features and screen definition. Your can’t even read the name of teams and leagues because they are too long. A 15 years old kid with basic tech knowledge would have done a better job. USTA charges annual membership of thousands, if not millions, of people across the nation and still doesn’t invest in a decent app.

By

Great app until they updated

I’ve used TennisLink for 3 years to enter scores for my USTA league team matches and it has worked great. Ever since the new update I can’t see the teams for 2018 or any of the matches. Please fix this bug in the update. As soon as this will be fixed I would rate TennisLink four stars.

By

App seriously needs an update

For what it’s worth, TennisLink does as advertised. However, please update TennisLink so that the screen is optimized for the new iPhone X. Currently so much space is wasted with the black bars on top and bottom. With winter season about to kickoff, now would be a great time to rollout an app update. Thank you!

App Needs to Support New Tournament Page

With the new tournaments page online TennisLink is no longer showing the tournaments my son is signed up for. I hope the new app will be coming soon. It is a lifeline for us as we manage our tournament schedule.

By

Abysmal

TennisLink appears to have been written in the early days of the iPhone 3g. Horrible graphics, completely unintuitive navigation, forces a player to pick a preferred league instead of seeing a screen with the results of all my teams. It’s barely an improvement over a phone tree. Surely the USTA can afford to produce a modern, well-designed, functional app. Surely?

By

New Update: Thumbs Down

The text is much smaller and harder to read after the update. TennisLink is still clunky, and you have to click on way too many buttons to look at results of other teams/players.

By

What is the purpose?

What is the purpose of TennisLink? Why do they call it USTA? Try to search for a tournament it comes back no match found, then it tells me to go back in time to 2021. Then it tells me to go to a web site instead. Here’s an idea how about remove this useless app instead of wasting every body’s time.

By

Email Team?

As a captain it would be helpful to have the option to email/text my team from TennisLink. Also, adding the scorecard option to TennisLink would be great as well.

By

Add Points per Matches

Now that USTA League has gone to points, rather than courts, how about a column that lists Points Won Per Match Played? That would be a better representation of the league standings. Also, enlarge the tournament draws, even if you have to turn the phone sideways.

By

More features are needed

The current app is great for reviewing the schedule, following friends and registering for a new team. TennisLink could be improved by including player/team management such inputting availability, viewing the lineup the Captian posted, and exchanging lineups.

Can’t see 3rd court score on singles

One of the updates in last year has caused an issue with scrolling to the 3rd court. August 23rd review had same complaint so it’s been awhile and not fixed yet.

Otherwise- it’s useful. Rarely go to computer.

Can’t enter league scores on the app

For some reason I can’t enter scores for league matches on my app

By

Disappointing

Navigation between leagues and teams is extremely awkward. Users are expected to select one team and do not seem to be given the option to navigate easily between various teams and divisions. Although the layout is pleasing to the eye, the functions do not live up to user needs.

Why the haters?

I use it all the time
Maybe could stand a tweak or two but I am used to it and find it very helpful
