C.S. Lewis Daily Quotes & Inspiration Reviews

I've had CSLewisDailyQuotesInspiration for years and am an avid Lewis fan. The quotes are great, but I worry that those less familiar with Lewis' work might be a bit perplexed by some of the quotes, like those from the Screwtape Letters, and wonder why Lewis sometimes refers to God as the "Enemy." Thus, I think it would be beneficial to provide the source of each quote as well. Lastly, the older app image was more elegant in my opinion. It's a little weird having someone's face on my screen.

CSLewisDailyQuotesInspiration is not showing current day's devotion on IPAD. It is stay a few days behind. IPHONE stays current but not the IPAD. Sometimes the same days devotion will be displayed for a few days and some days it will just be a few days behind. Started with the newest release.

Used to really love CSLewisDailyQuotesInspiration, but it hasn't worked correctly in a long time. Does not stay current on phone. I have to close out CSLewisDailyQuotesInspiration and reopen several times seemingly to refresh. Also, what is "inperation?" I believe you're trying to spell inspiration. Looks like there is no care or concern involved anymore.

CSLewisDailyQuotesInspiration is not being maintained. I denied push notifications on instal. There isn’t anything on the screen but a picture and a quote that has text rendering issues. No buttons. No menu. No nothing. Fail. 44mb instal? What the heck is all that bloat about for one 500k JPEG and 3kb of text ? Good bye poor dying app.

Hate new update. Gave review and thought there would be changes, since you no longer have pictures or inspirational quotes. Just comments that Mr. Lewis said. I am deleting CSLewisDailyQuotesInspiration, we'll look back to see if changes have been made.

I have the same issues as the other reviews. Please fix the bugs on CSLewisDailyQuotesInspiration! The quotes are wonderful when they actually update.

I used to love CSLewisDailyQuotesInspiration. But after the new update the quotes hardly ever change. And they keep repeating every few days. I hope they make it like it used to be.

This update is absolutely awful. For today's date it had passage from the Psalms. I love Psalms, but they are NOT C S Lewis!!

The quotes are fantastic but the presentation: white word on a plain black background is a little somber and a disservice to a man whose imagination employed all the colors God created. In addition if you copy white letters and paste them into an email, guess what you get? A blank email because you can't see the write words on a white background. But this is CSLewisDailyQuotesInspiration I rad every morning. I wish the developer would quote from a wider range of CSLewis' writings. The photos in the background I could do without. And of course there is no share feature. But I am grateful for CSLewisDailyQuotesInspiration . It has been a great encourage my toe and I quote it often in my Facebook page. If there was a share feature the developer would get more credit for his app. Instead I need to do cut and paste.

Update: the "quotes" given are even more inaccurate than I thought initially. Zero effort, apparently, on the part of the developers to ensure that the quotes actually came from Lewis and that what is provided is what he actually wrote. Lewis himself would be horrified at such pathetic standards of scholarship bearing his name. Stay far away if you are interested in knowing what Lewis actually said.

Nice app, but disappointed that the sources for each quote are not provide. That oversight is inexcusable sloppiness on the part of the developers; anyone adept at Internet searching can come up with that information. As it is, I question whether some of these quotes are legitimate CS Lewis material. I would give five stars if that oversight were corrected.

Fantastic app! I've been using CSLewisDailyQuotesInspiration daily for as long as I've had an iPhone and loved the daily inspiration and philosophical candy to chew on each day. CSLewisDailyQuotesInspiration is broken for 8.2, meaning you can't see anything,and it requires you to copy all blank text from CSLewisDailyQuotesInspiration into notes in order to see the quotes now for each day. Hopefully this will be fixed soon but otherwise great app!

Great source for good quotes from my favorite author. And CSLewisDailyQuotesInspiration is the one app out of all that I use everyday hence the name (daily quotes). The one thing that needs to be improved if possible are the ads or to make an option were there could be made a payment to make the ads go away but besides that it's a great app.

If you are a fan of C.S. Lewis you will live CSLewisDailyQuotesInspiration. Although you can only view one quote per day and there isn't a function to see past quotes, one a day is often all you need as they are generally very philosophical and enlightening. Would recommend to anyone looking for a simple daily slice of wisdom, hope, and thought.

Very nice App. Other comments mention features they'd like to see added and some of those suggestions are good. CSLewisDailyQuotesInspiration is like a "One Day At A Time, Sweet Jesus" app with a great quote from C S Lewis and a beautiful background. Sometimes certain characters do show up "weird" and I don't know what they are, but it's still a wonderful app for daily encouragement, reminder, admonish, etc.

Love CSLewisDailyQuotesInspiration. The daily quote and inspirations have been very inspiring and uplifting. However, ever since the iOS 8.2 update software I cannot get the quote. I even just upgraded to an iPhone 6 thinking this might help out. No! Still getting a split screen with no quote. I miss my daily CS Lewis inspiration.
