Almost everything is copied off of tik tok or instagram. The comments are so small and not arranged (the most liked one should be on top). The quality is so bad, when i first downloaded it, the intro was so good i expected so much better. Not a tik tok knock off. All the photos are bad quality, EXCEPT DAVIDS, and of course all his employees. So it’s honestly not a good idea, it shouldn't be a social media, except just a camera with GOOD QUALITY. It’s obvious that you wanted to mix two most used apps into one with the idea you had. Didn’t turn out so great. Sorry for the criticism but do better.

I absolutely adored Dispo when it originally came out, very straight forward take pictures and received the “film” the next morning, but oh man has it become a nightmare. I took some photos for my birthday a few days ago and have yet to see the photos because they won’t load, better yet I don’t even know where they’ve gone, the “rolls” feature is unnecessary and frustrating, the attempt of turning it into the next big social media has ruined the integrity of Dispo . Sometimes less is more, and in this particular situation that is the route I wish Dispo would have taken. Very disappointing.

Doesn’t this defeat the point? Don’t get me wrong, the graphic, interface, and premise are all quite beautiful but y’all have just put a petrol motor in an electric vehicle — you’ve defeated at least half the point of a disposable camera emulator. And for what? A few folks who are impatient? No matter our eagerness and impatience to have the photos developed now, this app requires us to wait, just as we must wait when shooting film. Or at least we did. Now this app is just a social media platform with camera filters, destined prey to the countless apps who already do both media and filters better. Your one unique feature is slowly unfurling, and I feel a kind of grief I hope isn’t too late to be undone 😢 Please. The filters are great but that’s not the point. The point was the wait. In this era of immediacy we need a pause, and not one we choose, but one dealt to us without exception.

I LOVEEEE Dispo, but it has been crashing like crazy lately (has not opened for DAYS) and since this is where I have most of my recent pictures, that makes me super nervous. I’m glad to know that the creators of Dispo are aware. Also, I reached out to the support team to try to retrieve a picture that had mistakenly been deleted while Dispo was glitching, and like one review has said, the team was completely unhelpful and unapologetic. I would really like for that to be resolved, because even after the crashing is fixed, that’s a huge issue to me that would still dock my review.

I used this app back when it was a simple app where you take disposable pictures. Now all these new updates make it so much more complicated than it needs to be and completely defeat the purpose of a disposable camera simulating app. My pictures never load. I seriously have not been able to look at any of my pictures in so long. The rolls feature is unnecessary, as well as most of the other new features. The only new feature that I think is good is the profile/friend one. It would be fun to just go look at people’s profiles/follow people, but honestly I don’t even need that. Gonna be using a different disposable app that is actually reminiscent of the purpose of using a disposable camera.

Was absolutely OBSESSED with Dispo when I first got it, I love the pictures and the interface and the development time, everything. However the last few times that I’ve attempted to go into Dispo it won’t even open. I have deleted and redownloaded multiple times to no avail and am super bummed because not only can I not access old pictures, I can’t take new ones. Definitely a great app and concept but I wish that the bugs were actually fixed so I could use it :/

Dispo is an amazing idea. On this app bye are the days of facetune, over editing pictures, and checking pictures the second you take them to find the perfect one. The operation of Dispo is terrible though. Why don’t my friends reels automatically pop up on my feed? I have to first follow someone, then check in on their profile periodically to see if they’ve posted a new reel. Following reels for friends should be automatic, with the option to unfollow.
Fix this and Dispo will be gold, and I’ll update/or remove this review.

I got Dispo when it was really simple and was solely the camera and the gallery section. I hate the new update that makes it look like some sort of social media app because it makes things really complicated and just annoying. On the other hand, the pictures are dope and you have to wait for them to process just like if it were a real disposable camera.

I really like Dispo , but I’m starting to not like it because half of my pictures are stuck in the uploading phase and I can’t access them. And I tried logging out and logging back in and they’re still not uploading properly and I still can’t see them. What’s the point of using Dispo if I can’t even see my pictures? Hopefully this is just a bug and they can fix it with an update or something. I reached out to customer service and I’m waiting for a response.

UPDATE: two weeks later after a couple updates tye app is back to working fairly normally again. Fingers crossed it lasts!
UPDATE: After recent update seemed to be working normally, hooray! Then after about 20 pics it started to crash in the same manner it had been doing for the past month or so. And now it just instantly crashes and won’t even open, making it impossible to retrieve pics taken. Not sure if uninstalling and reinstalling would help but I don’t want to risk the photos in there that I haven’t had a chance to download yet. Very annoying! Love the way pics come out and the choice of different cameras, hate how Dispo has continued to crash after one or two pics for the past month or longer at least despite several bug fixes—newsflash, they’re not fixed! Also, apparently every time I go to add to my review I’m forced to write a new one. Not sure if this is some change to Dispo Store itself or just this app deleting bad reviews but it’s also annoying.

I love love live Dispo and how it subtly adds a film effect over your photos and everything is amazing. The only recommendation i would have for the developers is that it would be easier to sync your contacts and see who you know has Dispo . Again, other than that, amazing.

I love Dispo. I love that it takes awhile to see you pictures and that you don’t have to take a certain number to see them all the next day. It takes great pictures and they look better than my phone I think. If you are like me and want to buy disposable cameras it don’t want to pay for them this is Dispo . I just print mine from my phone at the end of each month and it saves me alot of money
by Jessie_0505
I really enjoy using Dispo! I love the idea that your picture takes 24 hours to develop, so you can take your picture, and be done. My one hope for the future of Dispo is a feature that makes it easier to connect with your friends/contacts who are already on Dispo . It’s nearly impossible to find anyone you know, and your left following strangers. Which is cool......but they’re strangers lol.
by Gwenpoole
I love Dispo so much I use it for almost all of my pictures. The quality of them is fantastic and I enjoy the simplicity of it and I don’t want to take away from that but the option of a photo timer without taking away from the function of the rest of Dispo would be amazing! :)

I have been using this app for years now as my primary camera app. I love the UI, the interface, the look and feel. I’m a huge fan of Dispo but I do want to bring to the developers attention one small bug I've noticed.
The pictures I take don’t show up in my roll until the day after I take them, which is super annoying! If me and the homies take a picture and want to make sure that no ones eyes are closed, we’re not able to. If I want to copy something down I just took a picture of to write for my homework, I have to wait for the next morning. That’s the reason I’m failing history rn.
So overall, Dispo works great and looks amazing but it’d be much better if I could actually see the pictures I took right away
by Evan_harrell
this app IS SO SICKKK! I swear Dispo takes better quality pictures than my actual phone camera and the filter it puts on it is really nice! I like Dispo because when you take the picture, you can’t see what it looked like. Some people say that that’s dumb, but it’s actually nice because you don’t spend 20 mins trying to take a good picture, you just take a few and not even think about what they look like. Then the next day you wake up to a little surprise to see your dope pics from yesterday.
by Moo Moo Pikachu
I love this app. The interface is so cute and easy to use, and it truly executes the philosophy of living in the moment. The filter it gives photos is so much more flattering and subtle than Huji or other disposable cam apps. I love using rolls to designate albums for trips, months, or years. this app is truly my favorite camera app to use, helping me enjoy little photo shoots and memories throughout life!

I’m really thankful that Dispo exists. For a long time i was searching good apps to take a cool photo with an old effect and i couldn’t find it. Then i saw Dispo and downloaded it. It’s incredible! You can take such a cool, beautiful photos, like you can do it with disposable camera. Quality is so good, you should try it if you’re wondering to download it or not.
by Username9742
pretty good app I like using it to take pictures because they have really good quality and a cool filter on them. The only thing I don’t really like is how I can’t delete photos. It says try again and never works. Overall tho, I like it and being able to separate my pictures into rolls or categories. Another things that’s kinda annoying is sometimes the photos just won’t load.
by Bethany Goodson
hey this app! i love your cameras, particularly the vibe cam and the regular one. I use them almost every day! I took a lot of pictures this summer with the regular one, but ever since the late fall it’s changed a little and has a warmer, stronger filter and fade that I personally don’t like. I think you should change it back so I can go back to loving the regular camera as much as the vibe cam PLEASE

got Dispo thinking i’d just try it out. i was originally a huge fan of huiji until 1888 was released and i’ve been a huge fan since. figured i would try out david’s seeing if it was similar or (possibly??) better than 1888. whoooeeee i was wrong, lol. i’ll say, Dispo has potential. i don’t like that you have to wait upwards of 13 hours to get your photos. how do i know if they’re coming out okay??? the reason why i love disposable camera apps is because it doesn’t cost money to develop & you can make sure you’re actually taking good pics. what happens when i take a photo but it ends up the lighting would have been better facing the other direction, but i didn’t know because i cant see the photo until 9a the next day. also, the fact that the screen to see the pics your taking is like 1mm x 1mm i cant make sure everything is in focus and looks good. Sticking to 1888.
by No-Lol
i downloaded Dispo to see if it would be better than huji or 1888. i never really liked huji so when 1888 came out i was ecstatic. after trying david’s app i can say with a lot of confidence that i’ll be deleting it and sticking to 1888. the ads are annoyingly ridiculous, and having to wait till 9am the next day is stupid plain and simple. not sure if there’s a feature to upload pictures from your camera roll cause whenever i tried to find it a stupid ad would pop up (and they take up my entire screen to the point i can’t even click on the X to get rid of it i just have to exit the whole app). i also can barely see through the small hole that’s there to take a picture. if anyone is looking for a better app, download 1888. you won’t regret it.

When Dispo first came out it was great and worked really well - it wouldn’t crash or anything of the sort. But recently, with the new update and other added features such as ads, Dispo crashes constantly. I took some pictures yesterday (for the new year) and it keeps on taking me out of Dispo and not letting me view all the pictures I took. Most of the pictures I took on New Year’s Eve, I took them on Dispo because I genuinely enjoyed the quality and what it offered (I know I should’ve had a backup plan, that’s my fault) but am disappointed in the continuous inconvenience of having to re-open Dispo and having it push me out...
P.S I love David and his work, in no way am I trying to bash Dispo as it has great potential. However, as aforementioned, I did come across that ‘bug’ / inconvenience with the disposable app.
by Anoosnshhsnsnd
As someone who frequently uses disposable cameras, I truly do not think Dispo is identical to the pictures you get with a physical disposable camera. I LOVE DAVID DOBRIK DO NOT GET MY WRONG, and I am so happy for him making Dispo! But I think if you’re looking for the true disposable camera effect, just buy the camera. Ultimately a physical camera ends up being cheaper anyways—$20 total to buy and then print the physical pictures at walmart. It is very expensive to print the pictures off Dispo. Dispo isn’t TERRIBLE—it does what it needs to do and it’s definitely convenient. But I just think a physical disposable camera is better.

When Dispo first came out, it worked perfectly. I love the simplicity of Dispo and it actually does take decent photos. No overwhelming filters. Lagged a little bit if you’re trying to take multiple but otherwise great. However, a new update came out this week and immediately I get an ad each time I open Dispo . Ok I can deal, I get it. But when I wait for the ad to finish, Dispo crashes. I haven’t been able to access any of my pictures since the most recent update. It crashes each time. Have deleted it, downloaded, and restarted my phone- still no luck. Oh well, guess I’ll wait for the next update. Till then I’ll give it 3 stars.

I love using Dispo but I’ve ran into a problem:/
Since I don’t know the outcome of the photos I’m taking until 9am the next day, I take multiple photos. Although, for some reason I am not able to delete the unwanted pictures afterwards. It shows the trash can icon but when I press on it nothing happens and I’m pretty sure it’s not my phone bc it’s pretty new. Am I the only one with this problem? Please help!
by Thomas Aleman
I love Dispo and it exceeded my expectations. It gives the presence of an actual disposal camera and is amazing in every way. One thing i wish it could have, hopefully on the next update is to have the date and time of when the picture was taken on the bottom right corner of the photo. That way when we look back on the photos we can remember when it was taken and look back on the memories we have!! Please make this a thing on the next update. Thank you!!!
by ShelliRose2
This is nothing like HUJI (a better disposable camera app in my opinion) Dispo doesn’t do anything to pictures they are just normal except, get this, you have to wait until the next day to see the pictures. lol i was expecting more from david. i love him but this could be so much better hun. still giving you 5 stars because i love you. but please do sowmthing other than make a camera app that has a flash lol.
by Gracie Grace💖✨
Okay once I got past the fact that I have a camera that is amazing and I can literally see whatever I snap a photo of instantly and not have to wait till the next morning... I loved Dispo!! I only had downloaded it in the first place because it was David Dobrik’s but I’m loving how good it is! Defiantly worth the wait if the one day to see your photos! It’s like Christmas, you don’t know what photo you’re going to unwrap!! Haha! Love you David if you’re reading this! :))

Dispo is trying to make it just as close to being relatable to an actually disposable camera. It’s about taking the photo and then moving on with the day. Living in the moment. You get one chance on the photo so it’s raw and real unlike the camera on your phone where you take multiple selfies trying to get the “perfect” one. (There is nothing wrong with that tho) Dispo is just a different concept. Don’t get mad is there isn’t a selfie setting or that you have to wait until the next day for your photos. That’s the point of Dispo . If you’re mad about these setting then just use your regular phone camera.
by Annabananananananan
This is a really cool concept and I love the vintage vibe of it but most people want to see their right away and suff and if this was the only app like this I wouldn’t mind but I did find another app just like this with the camera and everything but on Dispo you can see your photos right away and also flip the camera and it has no flash and self timer and it’s like a better version of Dispo but I still take photos on Dispo to support David and maybe he could give me a Tesla and also the name of Dispo is called HUJI
by Fml34678
Okay first of all, i love DAVID DOBRIK!!!! He’s the best and coming into Dispo i thought it wouldn’t be that much different from the iphone camera and i’m pleased to say it is so much better. the camera quality is nice and has a melancholy darkish filter that makes everything look authentic and real. It almost gives a polaroid feel and all the details about the “disposable” makes it so much cooler to take the picture. I also loved that you could only get the pictures the next morning at 9 AM, it’s fun to look forward to and adds another special quality about Dispo. I totally recommend Dispo and remember to keep the flash on🤪
by Ellie199669
you can tell Dispo wasn’t half assed. the attention to detail is outstanding and Dispo gives off the same type of energy david does. maybe he helped make it?? not sure but whatever. but here’s an example of what i’m talking ab. ex: the premium upgrade. it says a cheesy advertisement line. see? same vibe. also,, i love that you have to wait until morning to get your pictures. it makes it like christmas in a way. ppl who say otherwise probably have no sense of fun lol. one last thing, the camera click and processing sound effect is perfect because it’s clean and clear. there are smooth transitions all throughout Dispo as well, like when ur clicking buttons and such. -Ellie

So, finally got my first photo ready! it is good! I love that I can save it in my camera roll and it doesn’t cost any money like most of others do. Dispo is everything what disposable camera has to be. Raw vintage photos without any fake effects and all this for free! I read some reviews complaining about taking it time to be ready and they don’t know if photo comes out good. Well that’s exactly how disposable cameras work, if you don’t know. Personally for me there is only 1 thing, how can I delete photos? the delete button isn’t working, I accidentally took two photos and i want to delete but when I am pressing button it’s not working...
To conclude thank you David, again you made this world better place and brought joy to people’s lives!
by Christi1700
i was spending so much money buying disposable cameras and getting the pictures developed so i’m super glad david came out with Dispo. it’s an incredible (and free) alternative to disposable cameras. the pictures even come out looking like pictures from a disposable camera. and it’s so exciting to see all of the pictures you took the night before the next morning because you don’t always remember what you took. A+ app
Hi. This is My third time writing to you. I lost all my pictures after you updated the app, can you find them for me please?
i updated the app and it won’t let me sign in at all. i keep trying all 3 options and it just keeps saying try again there was an issue. have tried multiple times and it never works
More like Shitspo. David Dickbrik better take accountability for his sexual assaults he coordinated towards Seth, bullying Nick, and should apologize instead of having one of his cult minions blame and shame victims. I’d rather watch people on straight TikTok acting entitled than spend another second on this app. I really wonder if media outlets were payed to boost and support the app because saying that Shitspo is “competition” against Instagram is like saying that David cares more about the well-being of others than his greed for money
I took about 40 pictures on my Dispo app today and then it required an update. Updated and all my pictures have disappeared. Am I missing something or is the app really that ridiculous?
I just updated the app and when I go to sign in using the phone number / snap chat / apple id (i've tried all three options) it doesn't work. I haven't been able to use the app since I updated because it just won't let me sign up at all. Hoping that this is just a bug and it will be fixed soon
