I tried to use DigimarcDiscover and it would not work and the 5th time I tried it took me to something that I already knew

Unable to open app after repeatedly downloading and reinstalling!

Worked great on iPhone 6. Now it always scans with the message ‘cannot be found’

Locked up before it was ever used, twice.

I downloaded to enter some HGTV sweepstakes , the very first “ digimarc “ I tried to do wouldn’t work , kept telling me to let it focus , I did , changed the light , didn’t matter , closed app tried again! NOPE!
This is awful save your time! I’ve scanned codes before w my phone , never problems like this

Well, they removed with his update the music scan feature. Plenty of users complained that this update is a step back and wish they had never updated DigimarcDiscover . I agree that it is a step back. If you want to keep the music identification do NOT update.

But what game is apple playing? Where are those reviews suddenly?
The same happened to the gateguru app. I guess the developer can ask apple to remove reviews if it is not to the developers liking.
Come on apple you can do better.

I downloaded DigimarcDiscover so I could save recipes from my Cooking Light magazines but I could've just had the recipes copied down before the phone would ever get a picture and find the recipe online for me. Half the time I couldn't even figure out which image I was supposed to be taking a photo of and then when I did know I just sat there forever with it trying to catch a picture of it. I never once was able to get a good photo of anything. Complete waste of your time unless you have magic hands or something.

Read the other reviews re: App not working - but recent updates must have worked because it works just fine - just downloaded a few recipes.

I used DigimarcDiscover with Seventeen Magazine and it was really cool! I just downloaded DigimarcDiscover on my iPhone, pointed my camera at the Pretty Little Liars picture and it took me right to the Seventeen website where I entered the contest for the shopping spree. It was super easy to figure out, and I wish more magazines had it. LOVE IT!

I downloaded DigimarcDiscover because of Cooking Light magazine. It's very useful for scanning the pic right before you head to the grocery store. It does save the recipes in history. It seems to do exactly what it says it will do. I can't really complain.
.... And now I see there are other features forensic that look fun to try .

This is fabulous. No longer need to save magazines and search for that recipe you want to try at your next party.
Lots of reviewers say it doesn't work but I found that you need to hold your phone close, don't try to take in the entire foto. Link with Facebook and create an account to save the recipes. Easy-peasy.

This is a very good and useful app. An easy download that can detect invisible watermarks on selected photos in magazines and capture information directly to your devise by pointing and shooting. I use it to record golf tips in a golf magazine. Just look for a yellow tab that tells you that a photo can be scanned. The resulting video looks great and is archived for repeated use.

I downloaded this to my iPhone 4s to access House Beautiful magazine's extra content. I've found it simple to use. And it works every time. The little phone icon on the magazine page tells you where to scan (sometimes its a particular item, sometimes it just says scan the page). I hold the phone a few inches away and it works within a couple of seconds. It's a free app, so it's with trying. I love it.

I downloaded this to view the digital watermarks in the CostcoConnection magazine. You hold the camera over the right part of the page for just a second, and you see a video related to the article. It works fast and flawlessly (if you hold the camera close so that the little watermark mostly fills the screen).

What a great concept to prevent a backlog of magazines! I hate throwing the magazines away or end up ripping out tons of pages to save recipes I'll soon forget about. DigimarcDiscover lets me save them in one efficient place, and offers the option of making a grocery just for you, perfect! I have only tried with cooking light and it did take some time for it to recognize some recipes but big deal, it's worth it!

I just downloaded DigimarcDiscover a few minutes ago & it works perfectly! I have already scanned 4 recipes. I was hesitant to download it, after one of the previous reviewers had trouble taking the pictures. On the pictures that have the little picture that says "CL SCAN & save recipes" you just hold your phone a few inches above the picture & it takes a picture automatically. Open DigimarcDiscover first, then hold your phone above the picture. Easy as can be! I have an iphone4.

I just downloaded DigimarcDiscover & made the mistake of trying to scan the phone icon. I discovered that you have to read the note next to the icon to know where to scan. In House Beautiful magazine it was noted that you are to scan the decorative screen in the picture. When I did that it worked perfectly. I had been trying to scan the little phone icon and getting very frustrated. If you are having trouble go back and read the message next to the icon and try again.

Read negative reviews but decided to try anyway and just delete if it didn't work. Used Southern Living magazine, and it worked like a charm even when I held it in my lap instead of placing on a flat surface. There were three or four where I needed to move the phone around a little for it to pick up...but certainly don't consider that a deal breaker. I loved how easy it is to use and how quickly I was able to save several recipies. Yay! No more scribbling down, tearing out pages, or scanning. I really like DigimarcDiscover...not sure why others are having issues...and I'm using an older smart phone.

DigimarcDiscover works great! It seems that the other reviewers are having user errors. You simply hold your phone or iPad 3-5" from the image you want to scan, hold it still so the lens can focus, and it will load and pull the linked image up. What is so hard about that?!
