Buggy App & Zero support

WestfieldUS will not let you stay logged in, nor does it have an option to login with faceID or autocomplete a saved password. What this means is that every time you want to use smart parking, you need to make sure you pull over and log in before you enter the gate. Even so, the smart parking works only about half the time. When entering your password, it also does not automatically hide your password as you’re typing it. On your way out, you need to make sure you’re logged into your app again manually before you leave or the gate will not let you exit. Again, the smart parking only works about half the time, so there’s a 50/50 chance you’ll end up holding up the line to get out.

There is no way to report any app issues to the developer. WestfieldUS support button will lead you to the main Westfield corporate site, which has no contact information.

Latest updates frustrating

I’ve been using WestfieldUS for over a year with no issues. However, in recent weeks (perhaps after the latest update?) WestfieldUS is always throwing errors. I used to be able to stay logged in and Costco transactions would be added automatically, almost immediately. Now every time I open WestfieldUS I need to login, and i have to submit my receipt for every purchase, including Costco, which I never had to do before.

Very frustrated and disappointed with this experience. If they’ve changed the policy on earning rewards points, they should announce it. If it’s a bug, I hope they fix it soon.

time saving

Before downloading WestfieldUS , I read the reviews to see if it was worth using the smart parking feature. I read many negative reviews saying the feature was not working for them. I decided to give it a try and to my surprise, everything worked fine. It took about 2 seconds for my license plate to be read and automatically was let in. Same went for my exit. 100% recommend.

Inaccurate information and false reward system

The store “sales” were always inaccurate and store hours never updated for holidays or Covid. Additionally, after creating an account for 1 year and following the instructions with purchases for points for their reward system, I was disappointed to have wasted time and effort supporting their businesses. 1/10 transactions would show up on WestfieldUS causing manual submission of receipts showing proof of thousands spent in restaurant, retail and beverage consumption only to be denied for points. Any attempt at contacting customer service resulted in wasted time and zero satisfaction.

Worst app ever

If you want to raise your blood pressure, download Westfield’s “Smart” Parking app. I made the horrible mistake of setting up an account thinking it would save me time.
Huge mistake. Have had problems every time I used it (wouldn’t recognize my plate upon entry,
Wouldn’t let me exit without buzzing the help -causing drivers behind me to honk) then I tried to delete my account, remove my credit card info, have called them, gone into the Century City Parking office to attempt resolution- and it still recognizes my license plate upon entry. Beyond ridiculous. NEVER DOWNLOAD WestfieldUS. It will haunt you FOREVER. If it was possible to give WestfieldUS ZERO stars, I would have.

Rewards and purchases not credited

A couple of years ago WestfieldUS was working great, now it doesn’t recognize purchases and even after having sent them to the rewards team, they never show up on the history. The $25 rewards are never credited to your bank account. I’ve been dealing for months with the support team and they haven’t been able to solve it, not even by offering a gift card or an alternative solution. This rewards program has become a scam since their system is not working well, it’s not registering transactions accurately.

Keep having to login

WestfieldUS is crap:
1. Today the parking gate at Century City mall opened automatically when I entered but didn’t open it when I tried to leave and I didn’t get a ticket so had to wait for a parking attendant and caused a line
2. Stupid app Signs you out everyday so when you’re stuck at parking gate and need to get the barcode better hope you can sign in quickly. App also doesn’t integrate with password fillers or wallet app

By

Great app with one major glitch

Great app overall. However it has one major glitch that it keeps signing me out after a few days, so I have to log in again and again. Hope it could be fixed!

Hours are not correct

Well, I’m here at the mall just sitting in my car because I’m here an HOUR before the stores open. Just need to do one quick thing and I’m stuck. I checked the hours on WestfieldUS and the website and they are both incorrect. What a frustrating waste of time.

You are the greatest in the world

I love ❤️ and very happy to go there again
Thank you thank you

thank you byron

Thank you Byron at the Topanga Westfield Mall, you’re the best, i won’t know how this mall will survive without you! thank you for the information

Doesn’t stay logged on

Keeps logging me off, so of course smart parking doesn’t work and I need to pull a ticket at the gate. Smart parking is probably the only reason why I downloaded WestfieldUS . Been noticing this happening since a few months ago.

Parking nightmare

My license plate is “already registered” so I can’t update my smart parking. This means the ticket machines don’t print me a ticket and I don’t have a way to scan out when I leave. The parking office can’t help remove the registered plate either

By

Automatically logs you out

WestfieldUS automatically logs me out between shopping trips and does not integrate with 1Password, so it’s a huge hassle to use this just to validate my parking.

By

Fix the bugs!

Keeps logging me out and am always having to submit a photo receipt.

By

Can’t get rid of notification

There is a notification showing on my screen but I cannot find it anywhere in WestfieldUS . Repeated reloading does not resolve. I cannot find any support.

By

Keeps logging out

WestfieldUS keeps logging me out and giving me unauthorized error so I can’t validate my parking since my car is logged with smart parking. I can’t even get a ticket to validate if I wanted to

Older iPhones shop too

I have this on my ipad and really like it. I like being able to have a mall directory at my fingertips and the shopping list keeps me focused. It's also great to see all the stores listed so i don't miss something fab because I didn't get to that side of the mall. That's a huge bonus as some of the malls near me are huge.
GPS would be nice but not vital. Perfectly useful without it.
I do wish this was compatible with older iPhones. If it were compatible with older iPhones, I would give it 5 stars

Great Idea, Not Trustworthy

I'm a regular shopper at two Westfield malls in the area so WestfieldUS seemed to be a no-brainer. It's come in handy a number of times BUT you cannot trust it to keep up with changes at the malls.

Over the past year, there have been several occasions when a shuttered store has shown up on the map & in the directory as if it was still there. Most recently, I made a trip to the mall based specifically on WestfieldUS telling me the store was there -- only to discover the store had been closed "at least a couple of weeks" (according to an employee of a nearby shop); that was over a week ago, and the latest "update" to the mall's information STILL shows the store as being open.

Even worse, there's no way to tell them about the problem; the "Feedback" function lets me type to my heart's content but every time I click on "Submit" it comes back with a "Not Found" alert.

The maps are useful for navigation (and I haven't tried using any of the in-app specials), but if you're basing a shopping trip on information in WestfieldUS you'll still need to call ahead to make sure a listed store actually exists. They also need to fix the feedback problem. (I've even tried the Westfield website and can't find a way to tell them about the problem.)

Terrible, terrible app

I've never used an app which was so poorly designed. If you bypass the "helpful" prompt to change centers based on your recognized location, there is no option to change centers after the fact. In addition, if you find yourself viewing the operating hours for your currently-selected center, there is NO way to return to the rest of WestfieldUS : No controls, no ability to "swipe right" to return to the previous screen, etc. There are several other examples of such confusing interface elements within WestfieldUS . You'll be force-quitting WestfieldUS very often.

Disappointing, as this could be a very useful centralized app for viewing details on several different shopping centers. I only wish Westfield had actually applied some effort toward making it _usable_.

Coolest shopping app EVER

How could anyone rate this poorly? It's the first app I've ever seen that does exactly what I need, which is tell you which stores are at the mall, where they are, AND HOW TO WALK THERE FROM STORE TO STORE! You can actually input "Nordstrom", and then input "Sephora" as destination and it will give you guided walking directions! It's genius. Very smooth, no glitches and even has GOOD special offers section. I'd give this ten stars if I could, it will save me tons of time lost at a huge mall. If you can't get WestfieldUS to work, IT'S YOUR DEVICE, not WestfieldUS .

Good not great

Loading malls takes a pretty long time.
If you need current location on, it should give you directions from your current spot to the store, as well as the option from a certain store, like it already has.

Needs lot of work to be user friendly

First, only way to see a useful mall map from Westfield is WestfieldUS. Website stinks and only is good if you know the store you seek. WestfieldUS takes forever to load mall data (5 min on LTE). Has same unfriendly map, but allows zoom as website. The maps should be clean and easy to use. Try adding a toggle for multi-level navigation instead of putting everything in one view. Delete WestfieldUS as its much easier to use the info boards at the mall. Get a clue Westfield. My Disney maps are so much easier to use and have way more complexity. Its amazing how some people just make someone easy more challenging.

Very Useful

I'm a regular patron of 3 Westfield malls in SoCal, and I love getting the deal alerts for stores I wouldn't normally pop into. When I've used WestfieldUS at Westfield malls I haven't been to many times, the map functionality and parking feature help me get around. Shopping List is also a cool feature. A simple add to WestfieldUS , but I'm sure it will come in handy during the holidays when I've got a lot of things to pick up.

A Great Help!

I live closest to the Culver City Westfield, which is huge and awesome, and when I wanna find out where I'm going or find a particular store and I don't feel like standing and trying to work things out on a map - I use way finding! It's some nifty tech that works like gps navigation but in the mall. Hopefully at some point in the future they'll have robots to carry me around to where I need to go :)

Pain in the b...

First of all it doesn’t remember your password more than a few days. Wouldn’t be a problem if it had finger and face password but it doesn’t. Try putting a complicated password in when you’re in line at Gelson‘s, people behind you, and you want to scan your validation.

Next half the time when I go through the above and do scan the validation it comes back with an error message saying my car isn’t in the center.

At the moment it’s really more work then taking a paper ticket.

Insists on downloading huge update before showing the map!

It's a nice app whose main use is a very good mall map.
But somehow the designers did not consider how long their updates take to download over a cell phone connection in an actual mall.
(Hint: about 10 minutes over LTE).
The problem is: WestfieldUS remains unusable until that update fully downloads!
Which is a disaster when I need a map fast!
Which is always the first time I open WestfieldUS that week, so there's zero chance it's up to date then.

Dear developers, please put the update on an asynchronous thread in the background and do the legwork to put in the "waiting for update" messages for the bits that actually require an update but let the maps be used right out of the cache!
There's 5 stars in it for you!

By

Was better before the update.

I would've given this five stars in the previous version. I love the movie feature that it has. So much more convenient to look at versus going online or calling. The movies won't update now even when I choose another date. Also in the questions tab it goes into the earphone jack which is very annoying for voice over users. I hope in the next update these issues are addressed.

Perfect for what it is

I'm able to click my mall- find my store and call the # to ask my ?. No more calling the concierge to find a number- having to get my pen that I wasn't prepared to do and then writing down the # while trying to tell the concierge to repeat it over and over again.

By

Does. Not. Work.

This is a terrible app that shouldn't have been released. The only reason to get it was to help with parking yet they continually cannot get that right. Just try to validate your parking at the theater or Gelson's, it does not work. You will be overcharged and then spend too much time trying to get a refund. The emails you will get will act surprised every single time, yet it never gets better. Even when I deleted WestfieldUS the mall still recognizes my car meaning more over-charging. Avoid.

By

Love it!

Love the updated version. Love the "ask me a question" concierge feature! I have 3 kids ages 6 and under...when I go to the mall I want to know the fastest way in and out closest to my destination stores, where the bathrooms are, what we can eat, etc. WestfieldUS does that for me.
