Could use a guide on where familiar stuff is now.

SeaWorld used to be helpful. Now you can only look at the current day. You have to go to the website to do anything else. I’m going tomorrow and I’m still trying to figure park and show hours but I guess I won’t be able to until the morning. Worst update ever!!! So bad I actually took the time to write a review which I never do. I like some of the functionality but not at the cost of what they took away, please change it...make it a hybrid at least that has to be better. Right now it’s a waste of space on my phone. :(

After visiting the park I can see where some of the updates are helpful. I don’t get on rides so wait times don’t help me. But since the stores changed A Lot having the new descriptions was helpful. I also figured out where the link to the website was in SeaWorld to do my future visit planning so I updating my rating. I also appreciate that feedback is being read and responded to so thanks for that!

Needs an update

The gps section wasn’t very helpful. it didn’t guide you in certain areas. Also, When I went to look at show times, the shows disappeared and I would have to exit out and go back in for them to reappear. I had trouble uploading my annual pass because it couldn’t find it from the barcode number. Wait times for rides would be helpful. Lastly, The map needs an update on restroom locations and rides. If I had listened to the map, I would have walked to the other side of the park for the restroom when there was one next door to the restaurant I was in.

Please bring back a park hours and schedule section in the app

Love the new map and some other features however I couldn’t find the park hours and schedule section.

You can just link it to your website if you want. It’s way easier then scrolling around for shows. And I can’t plan for the future day’s hours unless I go to my internet browser app then go to the this app website, choose my park, wait for the ads, then click park hours and schedule.

Thanks in advance for adding this into SeaWorld ! I’ll check back over the next couple days

Incredible experience

I am planning A trip to Orlando with my family and downloaded SeaWorld to start getting excited. I was very impressed with the ability to find information I was looking for quickly. I appreciate having all of my family passes in one spot and being able to map out where I want to go and what I want to see. I’m very much looking forward to all that there is to see!

New version No Good (update: im told updates coming!)

Update:::: so after posting my original review, this app developer for SeaWorld reached out to me and informed me that updates for Passholder info/access will be coming soon. So with that I am updating my rating from 1 start to 4 stars.. 3 stars for what SeaWorld has currently and an extra star for the quick response to my concern by this app. This is why we are passholders for the last 15 years! this app is awesome!!

As soon as the update to include passholder access, I will update the rating to a perfect 5 star!

Thanks this app!!
—————-

Original review.

The old app had its issues, but atleast I could access my Platinum Member Benefits. The new update Member benefits are missing or impossible to find.. clearly this was only thought of Day guests and Non-Faithful Passholders! Sad. Still Love this app.. just not excited about the updated app.

A major improvement

A major improvement over the old version, this one is actually usable with times weight times and much more. That’s all I have to say about that I mean it’s an app for a park so I guess I’ll just keep going until I hit the character limit amount that will let me actually submit SeaWorld review. By the way blocked in the pile of nothing blah blah blah yeah

Definitely better but more can be done

Good afternoon - it is wonderful that the applications team is addressing current limitations with the this app app. It is great that you can book certain things but you need to be able to book:

1. Dinning - reserve seating and what kind of seating
2. Special events - if this app has events that are coming that local resident can be placed on a waiting list or get in the virtual list.
3. Being able to book rides - I did not see an option to reserve a ride.

I will be testing it tomorrow if there is any GPS / location services and to see if it reduces stress, be able to optimize your time at this app, and also look at your quality management and test management / life cycle management process from the old application to the new application. The whole purpose of a mobile app - is to plan your experiences. Keep up the work.

What happened to the schedule???

What have you done to SeaWorld?!? I can’t find the park hours or the daily schedule, can’t find the list of restaurants, it no longer lets me use my email to access my account ( I have to enter my gawd awful annual pass number)!!!

I do like that my annual pass shows up but I don’t know how to get anywhere else. The last time I was in the park I had to open the website, rather than SeaWorld . The website thankfully still has the daily schedule.

Do you expect people to visit the shops, purchase overpriced animal experiences, and wander aimlessly around your park? If so, you nailed it with this update!!!

Horrible app

SeaWorld is really horrible, it’s more about soliciting than anything. Unable to add or remove Annual Pass for ones self or add family members, change login info or any of the most basic functions of an amusement park app. Even the latest update is more like a wallet, that appears to be geared towards draining it. To make any aforementioned Annual Pass or account changes, you have to apparently to to the web sight. Not really sure yet, still trying to figure it out. I think once I figure out I will become uninterested with this app again for another 10 years or so.

A few bugs

So I went to this app yesterday and there was a sign that said download the this app app for wait times. I did so and there are literally no wait times on SeaWorld . SeaWorld should use mostly the same interface as the website, at least for wait times. Otherwise great app and I love that you can reserve show seats on it with Quick Queue!

Update on 1/8/22: Thank you so much to the developers for responding! I cannot wait to go back to this app with the Waves of Honor program! Thanks again!

Thank you seaworld

I have been a pass holder from 2001 and my daughter since she was 1 year old in 2007, this app looks after it’s passhilders, celebrates Christmas for the season it is, has a heart to save animals, makes mistakes but always tries to rectify them. The one 3 park pass I have no intention giving up any time soon.
Thank you for the wonderful memories

Adding Passes

*Update*
You can view passes from SeaWorld , however you can’t really share them if you purchased for a family since Apple Wallet is advertised but not yet supported. But you can print them out for them which really isn’t convenient in a digital world. Hopefully the fix comes soon.

Feedback from developer:

"Thanks for the feedback, Bread5. Adding passes to Apple Wallet is not supported yet, but it's on our roadmap. We're working hard to continually improve SeaWorld and appreciate your patience during the process."
————-

SeaWorld is the WORST! You can’t add passes to your apple wallet even though it’s advertised. And don’t bother with customer service because they are just as clueless. SeaWorld is a waste of space on your device, don’t bother downloading.

By

Updated app is great but could use more features

The new layout is much better as we can now see wait times and plan which restaurant to eat at in advance. I’d like to see passes added to Apple Watch and Apple Wallet as previously allowed which makes it easier to access when entering the parks.

Getting there

The developers did a good job in updating SeaWorld. And looking through the reviews, someone is listening and responding. (It’s really the only reason I’m writing this review) SeaWorld is a lot smoother and visually appealing. For a future patch/release, there should be a functionality that allows the user to buy services through SeaWorld , ie tickets, special experiences. Hopefully that’s on the works.

By

Thanks for listening and changing the app

SeaWorld is wonderful! Pretty much everything that was wrong with the original has been fixed and now is competitive in functionality with universal and Disney!

Now one thing this app- if you are reading this! Do this with Busch gardens too!

Seaworld App

Good app. Some enchantments I would recommend is for ride times to be added to app. Some rides open up at different times would be great to know that. Also to be able to see different days show times if they differ. Only able to see current day can’t look forward to see next day. Interactive map is great. Overall really good app.

By

Eh

App is good for show times and using the map to find exhibits/dining/shops, but does not show dining hours. I understand that some restaurants may close during the day due to low attendance but they could at least put if a restaurant closes at 3 or 4 when the park is open until 6.

App is advertised all over the park, but to find dining hours you had to visit website, which if I have SeaWorld I am not going to do.

By

Downloaded and then deleted

My main reason for downloading was that I thought I could add my member passes to my wallet and do other things through SeaWorld . You can not and still have to log in through SeaWorld , which directs you to the website and you still cannot save the items. While I would like to plan my day if there are certain things that you just can’t do with SeaWorld , I may as well just write them down or play it by ear. Besides that, I bought a platinum pass and I don’t want to download each app.

Happy Ambassador Working at the WAVE!

Thank you for giving me the opportunity to work at the Sea World Kiosks and the Park Entrance WAVE.

Alex, Zack, and Devin are fabulous Supervisors. Mikayla assists us with grace and knowledge.

Dan, Andy, Yadira, Evelyn, David, Michelle, Shayne, Isaiah, Kimmie, and all others are wonderful Leads.

Of course I MUST thank and acknowledge Leo and Laura (HR) for their ongoing encouragement and kindness.

I try to make EACH colleague Ambassador feel EXTRA special … and … of course … EVERY guest is MY priority.

Thank you again for giving me this blessed opportunity to work at Sea World San Diego… after many years (decades) working as a teacher/administrator in the San Diego Unified School District.

Sea World is EXTRAORDINARY!

Times are important

SeaWorld was able to show me where things were and how to get there, but walking around to food venues that aren’t even open with no listing of when is not helpful. I would have made decisions differently if I knew a place was going to open in 15 min rather than passing places there were closed. Very frustrating since you can’t bring food in.

When will this be updated to be useful?

I love this app, but SeaWorld is lazy. It’s incredibly slow and makes pulling out your physical annual pass card quicker than showing your annual pass through SeaWorld. Every time you open it you have to login. It doesn’t even start on the login page either. In the bottom left it has a quick menu item that says “Tickets”, so naturally you think, “I’ve logged into SeaWorld before, must be where my annual pass barcode would be.” Nope, it’s just so you can buy tickets or passes, which they already have a widget for that on the top middle of the screen that says “Buy Tickets”. The map is pretty bad also. More convenient to just get the physical map from the park. I’d say the only thing I use this for currently is to check showtimes before I go to the park so I can plan my visit. The bizarre thing is I connected my annual passes to my account through SeaWorld, but when I login on their website, it shows that I don’t have annual passes. They really need to work on IT all over the place.

Slowly returning to its former glory

For years SeaWorld (along with the nearly identical ones for the other this app-owned parks) was easily the best of any theme park. Then, about a year ago, it was inexplicably thrown out and replaced with a not-very-helpful web wrapper that was mainly focused on buying tickets-- not something you'd be interested in when you're already in the park. While it's still a web wrapper now, this app has made some respectable strides to make that mobile web site a bit more app-like. You can view wait times, a slowly-improving interactive map, info about rides, shows, etc, and for the most part do all the basic stuff that you'd want from a theme park app. It still lacks the cool features it once had like the ability to use your device to make purchases and the feature that remembered where you parked, but I'm hopeful there's some plan to bring that back.

Someone please help this app...

Hard to navigate and fails to accomplish the main task I want to use it for - to present my annual pass easily on my phone at the gate. It’s not easy to login, it logs you out, doesn’t keep you coincidently logged in like most functional membership apps would. Every time I’ve been at the gate ready to pull it up, it’s failed and I’ve had to scramble to use screenshots I have on my phone of my passes. SeaWorld is VERY slow and often shuffles to the wrong screen during my login attempts. Also the map section doesn’t appear when you try to pull it up. So what’s the point of having SeaWorld ? The only thing that seems to work fine is if you want to buy tickets or pay extra for reserved seating or to avoid lines. I had so many hopes and expectations for SeaWorld but it resulted in only frustration and disappointment. Deleting it now.

By

Could be so much better

We got this for wait times. SeaWorld is just a glorified version of their web page. I don’t see the point in SeaWorld for us because...

1) It doesn’t always work. It will just show you the page to get QuickQueue. 2) There is no quick link to see the ride wait times. You have to go to the “...” and then it will show as an option. 3) The times aren’t accurate. It shows 5 minutes for Manta but the actual line display (and employee) says its 50 minutes. It hasn’t updated SeaWorld even though it’s been 50 minutes since lark open.

This could be so much better if they just built an actual app that pulled from web api data points and made sure those data points were accurate.

Useless for ride wait times

SeaWorld is okay for viewing show times and a map. If you want to use it to view ride wait times, however, you are out of luck. It is wildly inaccurate. I have been standing at a ride, looking at a 10 minute wait time that SeaWorld said was 45 minutes. I have also seen it say that there was a 5 minute wait time when it was really 40 minutes. I have gone on Atlantis, which was up and working just fine, but it didn’t even show up on the ride wait time list. This thing needs to go back to what it used to be, back when it was actually helpful. This version isn’t worth bothering with.

Worst amusement park app

Well this review I wrote for the last version pretty much still holds up except that they removed anything that was remotely useful from the previous version. Horrible app.

SeaWorld is always out of date. I went to Sea World yesterday and SeaWorld didn't have half the shows listed. Used the paper map instead since it actually had all the current info. The servers are always super slow. Tried adding my pass to my app and it took over 5 min just for it to look up my account just to tell me that my pass that I was holding in my hand didn't exist. Like all things at Sea World great idea but horrible execution.

Clown world does it again

SeaWorld needs a serious makeover. The format is literally just the website lazily imported into an app and riddled with random ads for Clown world events that only make navigation more confusing. Not that it is in any way possible when you’re not being bombarded with ads, as I found myself having to basically guess and check to find what I wanted to see, and even then barely anything is explained to you. I would be more okay with SeaWorld if Clown world didn’t constantly ask me to use it despite its embarrassing design and complete lack of useful features.

By

App went bad

At first I really liked SeaWorld because it showed me all the restaurants, rides, and show times. Now that SeaWorld changed, the map is awful, you have to click the plus +sign like a thousand times to zoom in. I thought we were in 2017. I will say it was helpful for them to put a little check list to show you where everything is in the map. No hate to Sea world you just need to fix ur app a little bit. 🐠🐳🐋🐬❤️

It does not work.

I just updated my passes and I’m trying to add them to my app, but SeaWorld won’t let me. It won’t even let me see my former passes even though I’m logged in. It simply states I need to renew my pass. Over a year ago, when we first got SeaWorld , it worked great. I could scan barcodes from SeaWorld , but now it doesn’t work. I have no idea how they “update” SeaWorld all the time, but fundamental things like being able to access my pass from SeaWorld , don’t work. Please fix this. It’s a tremendous pain, especially with the worthless paper tickets.

Don’t waste your time

Sea World normally does things right, but SeaWorld is an exception. Despite the fact that I was using it on a relatively new iPhone, it continuously crashed. For the brief period during which it did work, I was able to look at a map of the park. Sadly the map would not show my location, so it was fairly worthless. I was also able to briefly look at show schedules, but then that crashed too. Don’t waste your time with SeaWorld. Just pick up a paper map, ignore your phone, and actually live in the moment and enjoy your day at Sea World.

By

Sea Blows

This is pretty much the worst app I’ve ever used at any park, museum or tourist destination in the world. Weber developed SeaWorld should have their development skills retested because they are clearly incompetent.

First of all, SeaWorld does not load properly shows no useful information, gives a map that is worthless, and constantly freezes. And we’re not talking about on an old phone… We’re talking about a brand new two week old iPhone 8 Plus.

To make matters far, far worse, ever since I downloaded SeaWorld most of the rest of my phone is unusable… Constantly frozen… Previous apps that worked an hour before I downloaded this one no longer function… I will most likely have to reboot my entire phone from a previous backup.

Oh and I took Uber to the park which means I’m now stranded here.

By

Lazy Developers - not even an updated map!

Wow. I am shocked, the developer doesn’t even have an interactive map in SeaWorld ; and bounces to a website in safari.
Also, the link it bounces you to isn’t even current - doesn’t even match the Winter time festive map you get in the park.
I’d suggest that Sea World start paying more attention to SeaWorld - you talk about people not taking paper maps: how about giving them a super simple, but accurate and useable, digital map experience in SeaWorld ?

By

The only thing worse than the WiFi at the park is this app

It’s slow, unresponsive, and won’t let me add extra passes. My family has four passes, and I can only add three. It also won’t let me delete expired passes. When I try to add a pass to my wallet it will only add a pass that expired three years ago, regardless of which pass I choose. It used to be a good app, but now it’s just the website in mobile form. For a park that charges $100 a ticket, I’d expect a better app and website.

By

Missing Features

I am very happy to see that this app is finally showing some love towards SeaWorld . However, with the newest update it is missing several features that the previous app had. As an annual pass holder the feature to pay for stuff in the park is missing along with the ability to add your park ticket to your Apple wallet. I would love to see these features added back and some more attention to the details of SeaWorld like the difficult to use park map.

By

Poor design

SeaWorld is trying to hard to look appealing. Needs to simplify. Strip down to basics. A map that is clear to read and is displayed on entire screen. Tap on a location and info is displayed. We don’t need a showy review of what this app has to offer. We are already here, just give us a good map of where and when things happen and how to get there. And if your a pass holder you should be able to scan SeaWorld . The map should be the main focus.
