APMEX: Buy Gold & Silver Reviews

I am coming back to coin collecting after about thirty years. I used to use my babysitting money at the local coin store on silver Morgans and regretfully Susan B. Anthony’s lol. But now that the Sacajawea dollar has been here since 2000, I am all in again and finding this could actually be a viable investment unlike book collecting which was just a labor of love. This is both and this app offers you not only just some amazing deals but also just gorgeous silver and gold coins that blow my mind. Things have definitely changed since 1985. Today I had to buy more than just Sacagawea coins and I am certain I will be glad I did in the future. Thanks this app, I am very grateful!

I have always liked buying from this app and have been a customer of theirs since 2016. When their app first came out it was not perfect but they had surveys on what they can do to improve it. I’m glad to see that they have improved APMEX greatly. It functions great and is now easier than ordering on a computer. The features are great and navigating APMEX requires minimal effort. I like how the buttons to get to things such as home and your account are on the bottom.

In this new format it is beyond difficult just to go to a specific category of items you are searching to buy. I can’t even find the “SHOP” section where you used to be able to look up things like COLONIAL COINS, CONFERDERATE CURRENCY, EARLY US DOLLARS, or COLONIAL CURRENCY. You can’t even go to something simple like BARBER HALF DOLLARS or SEATED LIBERTY DIMES. I am able to find these things eventually but it’s thru some ridiculous convoluted path through the new site. Now if you are in the market to buy something you only have the DEALS section to click on and have to hope for the best. As far as the SHOPPING section of the redesigned site is concerned I say the old version was much better and easier to find specific items instead of just random offerings now.

This is a very nice app because it’s easy to use and has just about everything that the website has. Very easy to compare and search all the products you’re interested in. Will be using for all my on the go buys. It also has a nice portfolio tool where you can enter the assets you have and it will give the acquisition cost and current value as well as a pie chart showing the percentages of your different assets, very convenient. I look forward to buying on APMEX.

Bravo to this app for updating their app! The entire checkout process is now within APMEX and not on the website. No more going to the website on your phone after you select a product to purchase. You can perform every task you need to do within APMEX —buy products, check your portfolio, track your orders, read industry news, and set spot price alerts to stay on top of the metal prices!! This is amazing!

There are several precious metal company out there that I will buy from but over the the years I have split my main buying between just two. The other is a good choice but for me this app just seems to fit my me better.

They have always been helpful, fast with the orders and discreet with the shipping. Prices are competitive enough I that I really don’t need to go anywhere else. If you haven’t already, give them a try.

The only issue I have with APMEX is that when you click on the cart icon, it does nothing. The only way to get to the cart is when prompted after adding something. The work around that I use is by adding something to the cart, selecting “view cart”, then deleting that item. It’s a small bug, but other than that, APMEX is clean, functional, and works great on both iPhone and iPad. The issue with the cart icon not being usable is only with the iPad app.

Authentic as it comes for purchasing precious metals particularly gold, silver, and platinum.

I do have to say it is very reasonable pricing although sometimes which is common you will get not always near meant items one of my items was a bar of 2 kg of silver and I had a lot of dings and scratches and so forth so it always isn’t going to come in the best condition just a heads up

You are always get what you pay for and you always get real gold and silver you may not always get the best looking piece even if you asked for it but I’d say the majority of the time it will be in near mint condition to perfect condition.

This this app App is the fastest & easiest way to find out most anything you want to know about the past, current, & future pricing for silver, gold, platinum, & palladium. You can also buy any amount of these right from APMEX . It also gives you current news & other important information about these precious metals. If you're looking for a quick way to access any of this information, this is APMEX for you.

Great app for finding and purchasing items from this app. Two things need to be fixed/added: When browsing products the menu bar disappears and you can get “lost” browsing items with no way to get back Home or to My Account, etc. other than to keep clicking BACK forever. Keep the menu bar at the bottom or add a button to pop it up. Also, please add 2 factor authentication for mobile and web site. Sorely needed for these transactions.

this app is the only trusted provider of precious metals trade for me. They are seamless with expediting orders and feature real time spot price and rapid updated articles and information about the market and resources for all who are interested or just beginning. But you seasoned stackers already know, there is no other to match them. Stack metals, Bitcoin requires a belief system that is faith based. Stack em up.

Not sure what this app was going for with this latest UI update, but’s it’s a real step backwards. Firstly the spot prices are way out of wack; it’s one thing to use the Ask price instead of the Bid price but the listed prices are way off from all other published prices. The other issue is you now have very limited access to this app’s normal storefront, the combination of incorrect spot prices and limited storefront access makes APMEX essentially useless.

I’ll keep it installed a bit longer, hopefully they fix these issues in the next release. If not it’s time to delete APMEX and look elsewhere.

The new app now has the entire checkout process in APMEX , no more redirecting to their site. It was able to save all my information in checkout for next, I could check my portfolio, read the latest market news, and I even set some alerts so I know when a few products come back in stock. Great update, this app!

This new version of app is terrible. Too much info on each page. If I wanna read the news I click the news tab. It’s cluttered all over the place & the vertical charts combined with spot prices is very unattractive. When in doubt~ KISS: keep it simple stupid.
However, dealing with the company has been terrific. Always prompt & professional service. Coins always top notch, though the customer loyalty program could be better. Oh well, nobody’s giving metals away.

I completed my order for the doorbusters on Black Friday at 7:05 am CST, when I got a notice that it hadn’t gone through because of something wrong with the this app site. When I tried again—and this app did not make this process easy, so it had taken me several attempts—I was told my order had been cancelled and that the items I had originally ordered were now out of stock.

this app: Please make the process more user-friendly, and please treat your customers better. Do not punish a customer for glitches in your system. After this experience, I do not care to do business with you again.

I use APMEX to keep track of the current precious metal prices including gold, silver, platinum and Palladium. I have ordered some of their products as well, and they are very competitively priced competing with my local coin dealer who always gives me a fair deal. Very pleased with APMEX so far!

Shipping has been good and fairly quick.

APMEX is a complete waste of space and really can’t do anything worthwhile. Want to view your order history to track an order? - sorry, they apparently never thought of that. Want their ABA and account details so that you can wire a payment to them? - nada, try Google. Want to check your this app Club account status or PM portfolio tool? - nope, you’ll have to go to the full site to do this too. I thought that APMEX originally had a link to the full site, but even that appears to have been removed during one of the updates as well. What a shame...

Fast and easy experience, looking forward to ordering more in the future. Ordering is simple and straight forward. Shipping was made easy and tracking kept me up to date on all the routing steps. I was hesitant at first,
Unsure of safe delivery. But , two orders arrived with out incident one still en route with tracking information available.

It would be great if the user could enter in decimal values when manually adding a new item to the portfolio tool.
For example if one buys a 50 denomination goldback from another site they could input a value of .05 oz gold. It’s frustrating to only be able to add whole numbers manually because it leads to inaccurate tracking which is the whole point of the tool.

Wherever I look for a specific item on various sites, I always come back to you because you always beat everyone else’s price. And the quality is always something you can count on with every purchase. Great service as well. Thanks for always being there when I need anything!

I’ve been using APMEX for a year now, and have had one issue with quality. Which they corrected within a week. It literally gets to my doorstep in 3 days no other app can compete. I also love the portfolio tool really cool to watch your investments.

This is a great app for tracking spot prices. It has a clean interface and is user friendly. I would love to be able to sign in to my this app account on APMEX to see my holdings, track orders and see past purchases. Also, a home screen widget for spot prices would be awesome. As usual, this app leads the way in product availability and variety, pricing, account features and customer service. I wouldn’t use anyone else.

I just updated the new version of APMEX . Of course there is always a learning curve with new versions. However, there is no clear way to “search”. There is an email for customer service. I would use that to ask for help but, am still awaiting an answer to a question I wrote to them well over a week ago about a purchase I want to make.

Highly recommended!! Get it you won’t regret it! There’s no reason not to have it. it’s fast and simple yet complex. Wish I knew about this when it came out! Very informative with great layouts and charts. Everything you could ask for in a simple easy to use app.

I use APMEX daily for a quick reference. It’s been “spot” on the prices as I research other venders as well.

I recommend to others needing a quick spot reference as well as price history and access to their other products.

Great app. Would be perfect if it had access to the personal assets like on their website, a how to section and the gold to silver ratio But it has just about everything else you need to watch your portfolio grow. Or shrink.

APMEX really is wonderful, easy to use and nicely laid out but I feel it severely lacks in that you don’t have the ability to see your current holdings and their values. It seems it should be an obvious feature for APMEX . I hope this gets added in a future update.

Easy to use application, has helpful recommendations based on the items in your cart, Very Fast Shipping, I can not stress that enough, I have made multiple purchases over the years with never a problem.

My only issue, not that it is even an issue. I wish it had the lock screen widgets. I like to keep an eye out for dips in pricing. APMEX would be unstoppable if it had the current spot price widget for the lock screen!!!

For spot pricing and getting authentic precious metals this app has delivered I have had only positive experiences throughout the years. My title describes all you need to know exchanging your fiat currency for real monetary value. That’s why I give them 5 stars.
