So many problems with WFTVEyewitnessNews, starting with auto-returning to top of stories list after each story selection so you’re forced to scroll back down through all the stories each time to get to the next story you might want to read - that’s just annoying. The worst is the story repetition as you scroll to get to more new stories at the bottom of the list. But there’s more...poor editing for spelling and accuracy has become a problem, too; I’m not trying to nitpick, because I could live with SOME of these issues, but altogether, it just makes this site too sucky. I scroll the headlines, and then google to read the stories elsewhere, which I hate doing. I want to hunker down with this site again, if it gets fixed (even somewhat, because I’m very forgiving). Please....have someone overhaul this site, and format. I love channel 9 news (for 18 years!!!), but this website is going to drive me to drink!

When we moved to Florida over 22 years ago we “auditioned” the four local tv news broadcasts offered by our cable company; ABC NBC CBS and FOX. We decided that ABC’s local affiliate WFTV was our go to for local news and weather! You guys won the “role” of being part of daily news and weather coverage for my family. Thanks to all of the people on the staff who keep us informed about what’s happening in and around our Central Florida neighborhoods.

Don’t bait us with important news and then make us wait through long commercials. Just start out, “This news is being brought to you by “such and such” company. Then get to the news. Your listeners would so appreciate that consideration and would probably be more willing to check out your sponsors because you cared about getting the news out to them. This is especially important when we are in crisis mode and concerned for our loved ones. Can you imagine Paul Revere being held at the highway being preempted by a commercial while trying to get the message out, “The Red Coats are coming!”

I live in Jacksonville Florida and get my news from channel 9 Orlando. I get the news before any of the other local agencies have it! They also have the best coronavirus data of any state wide news station! Will continue following them as long as they stay this accurate, which I expect them to do since it’s been the best news for about five years. Keep up the good work!

Would like to see fair and balanced coverage of news items.
So many things covered are sensational and help drive ratings . I understand that.
What is missing is the background or follow up.
Like it’s ok to see a home burning but go back and see the progress of repairs or the continuing issues of this family getting to normal.
Following a drunken driving incident do a background or follow up on the people involved.
They don’t have to be exposes but a little better.
Crime coverage. See a lot of crying family members , which could be expected, but what’s the background. Wrong place at the wrong time or did their lifestyle lead to them becoming a statistic.
Is a law enforcement officer justified or wrong in a case or the chain of events leading to the encounter.
Just try to be fair.
I will filter out what I think is biased coverage .
I think you do pretty good in our climate of news coverage.

I read your news everyday. Cannot start my day without it.
I don’t like sometimes you click onto an article and it doesn’t open. Or a video which plays a commercial then plays a report like a dictated story.

I always put 9 for my weather @ 6:00 AM & You are have Been getting it most of the Time !

Limit the news feeds to one in regard to COVID. I am sick of the plethora of articles on the subject daily. That way I can avoid reading the inconsistent numbers between articles and go on to the REAL news.

I’m aware that limiting posts will cause the news stations to come up with a lot more REAL news. It’s out there!!!!

Please delete the old articles that have been out there for weeks.

The station could even report how many traffic deaths occur in the state each day. Oh that’s right - all deaths are reported as “COVID RELATED”. Oops!!

I truly enjoy the newscasters; the team’s chemistry is awesome. They bring the audience in and captivate us with their humor.

The application on the other hand leaves much to be desired. It buffers, stops working and needs to be reloaded all the time, etc.

Get rid of mandatory live commercials. If I want to watch commercials, I will on my own. I get out of the story, so I don’t have to watch the commercials & I go to another competitors site.

You don’t update quick enough and or expand previous posts. Stale news.

I can always count on channel 9. I enjoy all the news and weather teams. Especially like Vanessa and Jamie.

It is really frustrating when you are out and you wanted to see and or listen to an update you get a notification about and there is no freaking sound. Correct your technical issues and I’ll update my rating because I typically love channel 9

I get a notification from WFTVEyewitnessNews telling me about something happening now and to open WFTVEyewitnessNews to get live updates but when I open app no live updates going on. Very frustrating!

Every time I get a notification for a live update on something happening and I go to WFTVEyewitnessNews I get a commercial that runs for about 30 seconds and then WFTVEyewitnessNews crashes. As long as I’ve had WFTVEyewitnessNews I have never been able to see a live update. I can read the stories once they post them.

When you start a video, it is very difficult to stop them. There is no obvious exit button and after many minutes of frustrating pushing in different parts of the screen which opens advertisements a “x” finally appears in the upper left corner. When that is pushed it completely exits WFTVEyewitnessNews . GARBAGE! WFTVEyewitnessNews needs some serious work

Since the update, they took out the back button requiring you to tap the home button instead. No search feature and, more often than not, when you try to tap on a story, it kicks you completely out of WFTVEyewitnessNews . A roomful of monkeys could have done better with this update. Deleting now.

I don’t know why but this is the ONLY news app that works solely on WiFi. When I need news I’m not always on WiFi. What good are you???? WFTV has the best weather team but they are USELESS when WiFi isn’t available. Please WFTV get with the program!! I pay for data and I should be able to access your news app with data like I can ALL of your competitors.

This used to be my favorite news app, but this last update they removed the “back” button. Now, you have to hit the home button and have to scroll back to the spot you were at. PLEASE CHANGE THIS BACK! It’s so annoying! Otherwise, I will be deleting WFTVEyewitnessNews and going with Fox 35

Unfortunately WFTVEyewitnessNews has no chrome cast option.

For months now the traffic map doesn’t work it either crashes or it shows no traffic it’s just a map no colors to show current traffic

Still way too many commercials. And now after last update, what little news is displayed the volume is very low. But wait too the Commercials come on the volume goes way up. Needs serious improvement.

News is old - same thing for too long. Needs to have current news, not history

I think it’s a useful app. No surprises from what they put in the tv shows.

I got this and the other local news apps to see what's going on in Orlando. Definitely has the most alerts, which can be annoying. I don't open up WFTVEyewitnessNews unless I get an alert, so, not sure how the entire app is in terms of quality. Only annoying thing is that whenever I click on a notification, it opens the article in Safari rather than WFTVEyewitnessNews itself

The commercials play just fine but when it comes time to play the video you selected don’t count on it.

Don't waste your time. No news here just a lot of adds.

Channel 9 being my favorite news channel I was extremely excited to see they had an app for breaking news. Unfortunately I downloaded tis app and my excitement quickly turned to frustration after seeing all news articles are full gibberish. Example instead of a period at the end of the sentence they use

. makes no sense. If you are going to place a product out on the market make sure it is user friendly and actually works. Just because you can make something doesn't always mean you should, unless your going to put the effort in to actually make it work... Which I can see you did not. Thanks for nothing but wasted time
