this app, what is wrong with you? I haven't seen an update for LBC in years despite all the new OSs that have been released. I've been listening to this app for over 30 years and live in the US now and the only way to listen is online because LBC crashes the minute your phone locks. Ridiculous! Please this app, fix it!!!

App wouldn’t update on iPhone 8, after working for months. Deleted app, restarted, and tried re-downloading and now it won’t download. Any ideas?

The two most important features of a radio are the ability to play you station and the ability to stop playing that station. Other features like choosing what to play, sounding nice, and of course ideally auto / timer based start (alarm) and stop (sleep).

Sadly the evil people at either this app or who wrote LBC have decided that either they don't want me to listen to this app or they don't want me to sleep - WHERE HAS SLEEP MODE GONE. worse still they haven't even responded to emails / messages.

Now the other stuff like seeing news info schedule etc links to social media is nice but ONLY if the basics work. indeed i think the other stuff is improved.

BUT GIVE ME SLEEP MODE BACK....

your status info didn't even tell me that the upgrade would downgrade me by removing my sleep. IM TIRED - ive not slept in a week. if i dont sleep soon ill go mad and it will be YOUR FAULT

Using IOS 4.3.4 on iPhone 3GS
Downloaded LBC about 5 days ago. I have tried to listen to this app everyday since using LBC and it may work for about 5 minutes, then just closes unexpectedly. Sometimes opening LBC does nothing except open LBC , no sound, nothing. Closing it and re-opening sometimes works, but not always. I got it to work for 30 minutes continuously -- one time. I usually have to re-launch LBC about 20 times during a 30-40 mins time frame if trying to listen. I am giving up until a fix is found.

LBC will no longer play unless you have an account with the radio providing name and all sorts , you can’t just be an anonymous listener. If you ever call the radio they will keep your phone number and name forever and as soon as you call again they will know who is calling. Their personal data collection is legally dubious and morally reprehensible. They have become too big for their boots time to give them boot -

I used to subscribe and pay for this app Podcasts. Although LBC had a few annoying glitches (such as not always picking up where you left off), you could at least listen ‘on demand’ with no adverts.

With this new this app approach, everyone can get this app podcasts without paying. However, you now hear the entire show, including every ad break. As I live overseas they are not relevant to me so every 10 minutes I have to forward through the ads!

To add insult to injury, they have also now started an overlay of video ads randomly when you open LBC .

this app - please give listeners the option of paying monthly again for podcasts with no adverts. I’d happily pay again for this if I had the choice.

A heads up to others: using LBC constantly causes my iPhone to lock up and soft reboot. I’ve uninstalled and reinstalled it a number of times and it’s the same issue. The content of LBC is good, but it ain’t worth having the phone grind to a halt and reboot a few times per day.

I love being able to download and listen to James O’brien.

LBC has been buggy for me though. It crashes often, very much so when on a bad connection or offline, even when listening to downloaded content. Logs seem to show network issues that are throwing exceptions.

When stabilized this will be fantastic. Best of luck! I know iOS 13 got tricky..... and hopefully 13.3 won’t be as aggressive.

On the weekends I download Maajid Nawaz’s show so I can listen to it at work during the week. He had podcast during this week which failed to download and there is now way to try and download them again!! I deleted the show thinking I could do it that way but no such luck. I tried everything to no avail 😓.

I'm glad London's Heart has a way to listen to it on iPhones & iPods. Like others say, it's a pitty LBC can't be kept running while in the background but still, it suffices my needs. The only other problem I see is it stops streaming frequently although it could be due to my connection.

Great app until the last update. I tried deleting and reinstalling LBC and it’s now inaccessible. Is there another update in the works?

Please fix the crashing issues, I have to start LBC every few min. If your developers can't handle the job please hire new ones!

I absolutely love listening to this app as there is proper balance and the presenters (right now, most of them) are level headed...you get to hear everything from left and everything from right...I lived in London, moved to the US couple years back and was enjoying LBC BUT IT HAS STOPPED WORKING on my iPhone for some reason. I can play Spotify, YouTube and any other radio but when I try n launch this app, I get “Not currently available”... I tried deleting and reinstalling already.. worked fine on my Android 😩someone please sort this out

this app is the single best radio app you can possibly have!

Great app and hosts! There needs to be a way for overseas guest to call into the shows,
I suggest using a Skype option added to LBC . I bet the host would like it also.

Not currently working

I wanted to hear more from Olly Mann because I really like him and Helen on their podcast. I think he is really good with the listeners and has a very natural feel on the show. I have found that I am now listening in to others now too as my schedule permits.

Now that iPad has multitasking, I'm now using LBC again and it's far more useful to me. Great for Londoners who live abroad.

App won't work now that I've updated my phone to 4os any ideas??
