I don’t know what all these “people” who wrote these reviews that were all posted right around the same day with the suspiciously-same writing style see in RunYourPool. It isn’t even optimized for iOS—it is basically the website in phone form. You have to scroll not only up-down, but left-right, and A LOT, to see the grid. Worse, the game results table at the bottom is also too big for the phone screen and you have to scroll left-right to see even that. And there is no iPad version, so you see RunYourPool in that annoying phone shape on a sea of black background. If you’re a user, stick to the website, where you can at least adjust the screen size to see the whole grid at once. BI-I-IG swing and a miss. Fix these problems, then get your army of AI reviewers to try again, and next time, try using GPT-4 for more natural-sounding reviews.

RunYourPool was great for our March Madness team bracket in 2023 and was free. RYP never disclosed that they are now charging a fee ($15 for up to 10 entries) in 2024 until it was too late to switch our team to a free service. I do not recommend RunYourPool or this company and am extremely dissatisfied with their service. If I could give zero stars, I would.

They hide their fees and wait for an event to start before they charge you, so you can’t search for other options to use. They lock you from even seeing your picks until you pay. We used it for a 14 team survivor pool and they charged $20! Asked for the fees to be adjusted to a more reason rate for such a low amount of entries and I’ll let you take a guess what they said…
NEVER going to use this rip off of a service again, judging by all the recent reviews it seems like I’m not the only person that has dealt with the ambiguity of their pricing model after the fact.

Made several picks and exited, came back in immediately and none were saved. Not even an option to save before leaving. Really?

I’ll stick to the web browser version. Seems pretty good. Does no one bother to test their apps anymore? I’d be embarrassed, but maybe that’s just me.

RYP makes it easy for you to make your picks and have winners each week with tie breaker on Monday night with total points pick. I truly enjoy the ease of use. However if your running a pool your goal is end of season or through Super Bowl. WHO wants to do the math for the entire season when you have a tie. If your in a large pool l, or small, there is bound for some players to have the same wins. But YTD scoring does not include tie breakers. What’s the point of that? How hard would it be to include that in YTD? We are not sending someone to the moon here!

RunYourPool/site could very easily be significantly better. There’s just a blatant lack of effort or care from the people working there.

Customer service is pretty non-existent too.
They make it really hard to be the commissioner of a pool.

Would like the ability to set up our own scoring system. Example: let’s say the cowboys are playing the giants, and I own the cowboy’s D/ST. At anytime during the game, let’s say the giant’s D scores on a pick 6, or a scoop n score. In your current system, that counts against the cowboy’s D. It can’t. The cowboy’s D wasn’t even on the field. I appreciate the format itself, but the overall scoring system is very basic.

Why did the recent update remove the page refresh option on the Leaderboard screen?

Using for a fundraiser. Signup link broke shortly after launch. Had to regenerate and send out a revision to a large group. Needs the ability to select number of entries by individual member instead of a global number. For example, you don’t want members being able to select 3 squares if they only paid for 1.

Never had problems with RunYourPool until this bowl season. Now about 4/5 times I try to open RunYourPool I get ‘Loading Data Failed’ and a error pop up. I have not been able to open RunYourPool at all this week.

I give RunYourPool a 4 star for now not a 5 and here is why. I hope the owner sees this and makes the update. So when you go to make your picks for the week there’s no Vegas moneyline odds or favorited win percentages. If I’m busy with other things and want to just get my picks in I want to see some moneylines next to the team logos!! Please update this big flaw

It was super easy to connect on a pool for the Super Bowl. Had a blast connecting with friends over the platform.

Love the flow between my pools, ability to make picks and just how easy it is to navigate. A little different from the site but can pick it up quickly.

I’m a commissioner for multiple sporting events, NCAA March Madness, World Cup, Super Bowl, etc and RYP is my go to platform. The web was easy to use, but the introduction of a quality app has been a game changer. The interface is easy to use and I’m able to handle all of my tasks easily / track progress, winners, etc all via RunYourPool . Nice work RYP!

I’m not a sports fanatic and don’t do a lot of betting or gambling but I LOVE our pools on this app because of the sense of community and how it brings us all closer. We have family pools, pools with friends, office pools and more. RYP provides a seamless interface to connect with loved ones And create a “happening!” Highly recommend.

I have all of pools in one place, get reminders to make my picks and can see how I’m smoking my buddies every week!

I run a football pool for my family and friends hosted on Run Your Pool. It’s great! Easy to set up. Easy to use. Gives everyone real time status. Even the most tech-un-savvy folks have no issues setting up and making their picks. Brilliant!
