EDIT: I was on wifi, no VPN, and had a solid internet connection. Also what? An app that is used underground to make payments for a subway needs impeccable internet to even open HolaBarcelona ? Did you even think through that response?

Downloaded HolaBarcelona , opened it, and it took literally 45 seconds to get past the preload screen. Then clicking anything, including ticket purchase, took at least 20 seconds. I’m not dealing with this. Maybe HolaBarcelona works well and it would have been useful, but I’m not going to find out. I seriously doubt that I would have dealt with anything but a buggy, stressful app, which is why I uninstalled HolaBarcelona 10 minutes after downloading it.

Bought it before I landed. You can’t redeem it at the airport so you can’t use it to get to your hotel. I had to pay for that bus ticket. Went to the metro station the next day to redeem it and when I tried to get on a bus it didn’t work. Tried it at the metro and it didn’t work, had to pay for that ticket to and from. No place to exchange it was open on Sunday so I had to pay for another metro ticket to and from. Finally found a place after 3 days to exchange it for a working ticket. Also, it doesn’t work on yellow bus lines, only the red.
If you are only going to use the red bus line and metro then it is probably worth buying at the ticket station when you get there.

I bought a 5 day pass online and have tried several times to create an account after downloading HolaBarcelona . Every time it gives me some password error. So I tried to create an account online via the tmb service they use and then logging into HolaBarcelona but that failed too. Seems like I’ll just have to rely on the email they sent me and hope for the best once we get there.

I purchased the Barcelona 5 day pass and after a few trips it stopped working on the first day. I then bought a 3 day pass and it too stopped working. Customer service said that even though the cards didn’t work I wasn’t entitled to a refund in any way. Horrible experience. Save your money and time

Wow, just wow. Can’t log in on my phone…it’s asking me to Re authenticate but doesn’t offer any fields to type in. Maybe it doesn’t like that I also have the TMB app on my phone? Pretty confusing. Hope the bus tour is easier to to use IRL than HolaBarcelona is!

I bought tickets but I can’t download them to HolaBarcelona

The good - It gives accurate routes to destinations.
The bad - I made a purchase online, when I received my order number and went to go redeem it in HolaBarcelona , it said that both my email and my order number were incorrect. When trying to contact customer service you get put through a loop of automated messages until a dead end. If you try to save the receipt to your desktop, it’ll save as a blank page. You have to order a ticket in person at a metro station. Customer service non-existent.
