After watching the video on-lime for WiFi set-up numerous times, cannot get “add a camera” operation to work. VERY frustrating. The WiFi connects (allegedly) but in REDTIGER , tapping on add camera does nothing!!! So I have a WiFi connection but no software connection, wonderful. Trying to go back into menus on the device and keep getting “please turn of WiFi” but it doesn’t say which WiFi… the phone or the unit. Oh wait, MUST be the phone because the unit will not allow user to go into menu mode because “Please turn of WiFi” message.

The device works great, however, when I need to use REDTIGER , it’s nearly impossible to connect my phone to be able to view recorded footage.
Makes it tough to be able to make sure what I needed to be recorded is actually recorded and if I can’t view these things, it kind of defeats the purpose of having a dash cam altogether.
It always tells me to connect via Wi-Fi on my phone. However, when I go into Wi-Fi, the device rarely shows up.

Camera video quality is good. REDTIGER is not.
I allowed WiFi to the camera and it took me a long time, but was finally able to connect the camera to REDTIGER on my phone. However, since that time, the camera is not detectable by REDTIGER and doesn’t ever connect. I have to watch videos on the camera itself because REDTIGER does not ever connect.

While running REDTIGER I’m getting security warnings that REDTIGER is unsafe to use.
Also the Wi-Fi syncing each time you go online to check the videos is pretty annoying as it requires to synchronize the wife with the device each time turn off turn on the car.
Can you please provide details why your app is failing to sync one time mode instead of each time.
Also the security snaking fails REDTIGER so please update the security modules of your app.

The only annoying thing is that it takes forever to download the videos and even trying to watch the videos take even longer. After it keeps lagging then it tells me the Wi-Fi got disconnected. Honestly I wish we didn’t need to be connected to the dashcam to see the videos that got stored. I’m thinking of returning the dashcam. What’s the use of owning one and I can’t even see the videos 😡 terrible app

REDTIGER has a pretty good design but when trying to download a file to your phones gallery, it’s nearly impossible to do so. It takes forever to get the download to even complete and you’re lucky if it does even that. Usually the download will progress and then go straight down to 0% and restart. This makes viewing videos a pain if you really need it for evidence. Fix that and it’s a five star app

Been having problems with REDTIGER - getting to my recorded videos.
I’ve updated REDTIGER and still can’t get them.
The videos wont load and the REDTIGER times me out and I have to reconnect through wifi to the camera again. This keeps happening and I still can’t see any videos past 12 hours. Nothing will load.

The recording quality is awesome and I love that when you download a video it records the map of route and speed of the car.. however, I HATE that I have to be parked to view any recordings. Or even everytime I want to see the recording I have to turn the wifi on every time. It’s not convenient in an emergency because it does time to. I know it’s probably a safety thing, but in an emergency it shouldn’t work the same.

I’ve had my dash cam (front & rear) for about 4-5 months now. I haven’t been into a wreck, but I will say the 4k quality is nice and the clips I’ve saved have been great.. It works good until it chooses when to “Pause Recording” on its own when I need to save a clip.. Not cool. I did change the SD card and is still doing it. Not impressed with what it has been doing lately. I just wanted to state that issue incase if anyone else experiences this, or if it is an issue RT can fix.

So far this has been really good. However, can’t figure out how to disable WiFi mode without powering the camera off. Also, Is there a daylight saving time setting? For half the year my videos have a time stamp that’s behind an hour.
Update: I found the DST setting. So far I’ve downloaded some clips off the camera and edited them and so far everything has worked great.

I’ve used this app as a replacement app for the previous camera I purchased where it’s original app failed the function after several years of use. this app proved to be extremely valuable and being able to access files and setting on the go. Unfortunately, my old camera started failing to record the files that it was capturing, so I figured it was time to update my camera. Upon replacing the camera, the this app app, which I intended on using was unable to access the four folders this new camera creates. Each folder ties to a separate camera and this app is only capable of accessing the main file. This is why I’ve stepped down one star. I’ll keep this app on my phone as a back-up in case this new Dash Cam app fails as well. The odd thing is the new camera on my car recommends using an app that looks identical to red tiger except for one function, literally one button that allows me to access the individual folders. go figure.

I do truly love the 360 views of the camera. I have the kit that’s hardwired in that keeps the camera running even with the vehicle shut off. My only complaint is not being able to view footage unless you are in the car and connected to the cameras WiFi. You can download footage and then view it in REDTIGER without WiFi so that is a nice perk.
Overall, 4.5/5.

REDTIGER is a necessary evil to use the F7N/F7NP. Since the Camera Wifi will not remember its setting of ON across a power off, you must go through enabling the Wifi on the camera and synching with the phone, each power cycle. It does not provide function by function setting instructions for the camera, so it is a lot of trial and error. Once linked to REDTIGER on the phone, the camera will not respond to many of the manual selection functions. It can also get out of step with REDTIGER . Many other issues with F7N/F7NP user interface but not with APP.

Easy to navigate, intuitive buttons. Wifi connects well and was able to download videos. Sleep feature is nice. Only downside is speed isn’t tracking. Other than that no notable bugs. The newer software updates are nice! Keep improving REDTIGER .

REDTIGER is far better than others. I would like to request adding the option to switch the speed between Km/H and MPH for US customers.

Customer support is great and worked with me. Definitely felt an urgency to correct the matter. I sent in a video I took from another phone of the issue happening and that was a great idea highly recommend trying to video your issues for them. Nora from customer support is great. Love everything about this dash cam setup.

I had installed the camera 3 weeks ago, and on August 8 a truck ran a red light and totaled my car and put me in the hospital. The other guy said he had the green. I proved he lied. I was able to show it to the police. He got a ticket and is liable. this app tech support was awesome in helping me after the accident retrieving the video. I’m not the most tech savvy person. I am buying one for all my family members. THANK YOU this app!!!

After setting up the WiFi with the camera you can do everything from your smart phone. Selecting from 1,3,or 5 minutes intervals. I like the 5 minutes ones! View video or watch them right from your phone. This is great. I love it. My last dash cam did not have a cool app. Had to do all from the dash camera. It was hard. This this app one is the best. Easy to install. Just finished today installing in my RAV4. Going for a test drive now video quality is fantastic!

Please move the WiFi icon to the first page of the menu! I have to turn on the cameras WiFi each time I start up the cam and the icon is on the third page of the menu. It just seems more practical to have such an essential function at the front.

Update

Thanks to the devs for answering me and providing me with a tip that has saved me time. I would still like to see the icon menu reorganized but I’ve switched my rating to 5 stars. There really isn’t anything bad you can say about this products performance and the customer care is excellent!

I have only had this dash camera a week nothing but frustration with no help customer support is never available by phone I wasted money to have installed by hardwired with the kit it said to get camera is not working while parked I wanted the 24/7 protection as stated and the WiFi connection keeps going out I need protection and recording while parked not just while driving I had the installation rechecked and it is installed correctly now I have to have uninstalled and will be sending back thanks for nothing but a waste of my money Update…::::::::::: I received a call from the customer service team and they walked me step by step and assured that the camera is working properly and I am now satisfied
