Don’t use AuthenticatorApp for Discord because they will make it to where you can’t delete any of your servers or delete anything on your Discord account because you’re gonna need authorization codes and then they won’t provide any authorization codes for the things that you email address you used for it or phone number

I tried restarting AuthenticatorApp , restarting my phone and reinstalling AuthenticatorApp after deleting it and it doesn’t want to work after initially opening it for the first time. I can’t even use it as widget or use it on the Apple Watch. I’m just gonna find one the works after first use.

AuthenticatorApp is beyond infuriating. I used it to set up an account and now that I’m trying to log in and access my account, AuthenticatorApp says I haven’t set up any 2FA yet! 😵‍💫 this means I’m locked out of my account and can’t access anything! I regret ever using them for 2FA! And there support is just an email and no live help desk or contact info (phone, live chat, social media messages, etc.).

I had all my important accounts attached to AuthenticatorApp. Which was great until one day AuthenticatorApp logged itself out. When I logged back in all my accounts that I CAN NOT log into with the passcode that is given to me from AuthenticatorApp. Were gone I can’t figure out how to get them back. I can’t login to any of my accounts and since I already setup the account with AuthenticatorApp it won’t allow me to do it again. It’s been almost a year and I still can’t get into any of those accounts. Don’t do it!! I promise you, you will completely regret it!!

I don’t mean to be rude but the whole 2FA Concept is very stupid and useless, there’s no one and I mean NO ONE who plays this game that would want to hack others and even if they did they wouldn’t hack someone’s account when they could just somehow increase their own in game revenue as a Hacker.

You make players go through too much trouble just to be able to gift emotes to friends, at best there should be an email authentication and that’s it, This set up not only causes players to lose their accounts but have to create a completely different one that may not even work in the first place
So now you’d have two accounts on which you still can’t send gifts, Not smart at all and definitely not a secure and simple way to keep overpriced in game currency from being stolen which it wouldn’t in the first place unless you gave your password to a random person.

On top of all that, this issue along with many others has been going on for years now and the devs completely ignore every one of their players, people putting money in their pockets.

I love and appreciate the work you do just not the choices you make with the technicalities of the game, Make signing up more simple and not on par with a subscription or membership of sorts, Heck even getting Netflix for six months is way easier than this.

I had AuthenticatorApp for my games and recently I made a new Apple ID so AuthenticatorApp was deleted now I can’t log back into the the old account for AuthenticatorApp and I can’t figure a way to actually get my stuff back, AuthenticatorApp is not worth it I tried to contact for staff and they send something that isn’t even related to my problems, it’s like some of the staff here have no brain or something and they will not help you at all I’m stuck in this and I cannot get me stuff back.

What I thought to be a good application at first had turned out to be a very detrimental one to my whole life AuthenticatorApp has helped someone very close to me steal all my info recode it send out lies to which everyone now both close to me and those who may not even know me draw some very disturbing conclusions that are going to most likely cost some other people their whole lives I think when u are creating something next time also think of the fact that a tool like this in the hands of someone very selfish manipulative heartless and cruel can truly tear another human beings lives apart lies are lies these programs are meant for security and safety of one form or another not to cause detrimental damage to which some may never be the same

I hate this little blue demon. My job persists in trying to force me to use it, it causes nothing but problems, and the best we can do (we being IT and me) is fumble around until we find a way to bypass the miserable little chucklehead. For whatever reason, it goes away for awhile but it's not unlike cold sores, eventually it shows back up. There are no polite words to express my hatred of this heinous monster. I just want it to go away.

There is literally no troubleshooting. I got a new phone so it logged me out and now i have no idea what the password is. When I click forgot password it just tells me to make a new vault. I lost multiple accounts because of this. Any good app would have some sort of forgot password feature. Do NOT download this.

After I set up authentication AuthenticatorApp would not load luckily. I was however logged into discord on my computer(the thing it logged me out of) I was able to generate a backup code and get in. But don’t download AuthenticatorApp unless you want to get logged ou

AuthenticatorApp had a lot of promise: widgets, Face ID, cross device syncronization.

The biggest problem I had was after signing up and paying, everytime I needed verification, it went through the new user process over and over again promoting all the other apps by the compnay, welcoming me to the experience of using AuthenticatorApp , etc.

I should have only had to go through that process once, but it kept going throught he same process everytime promoting its other apps, telling me about the features, etc.

The authentication feature was fine, just took way too long to get to every time.

When I open AuthenticatorApp I do all the things blah blah then I accidentally made it so I have to scan the codes so I'm trying to delete my vault with absolutely nothing in it but you can't so you would have to buy a whole new one which costs money.

I find that extremely weird because if I can't delete my useless vault with absolutely nothing on it then what's the point of AuthenticatorApp if your not willing to spend money?

I used to be able to open AuthenticatorApp , see all the codes in an icon grid and click one to copy. Now they are on the side and I have to click the item and then click copy? This is a regression. Did someone make a change just to make a change? Dang, I might have to move.

When I downloaded AuthenticatorApp it kept giving me ads and stuff but once you gradually process it doesn’t. It’s a great app to 2FA on overall. More so onto that it isn’t even complicated.

This is a very good app its quick and easy to set up and helps secure my data I had been told by my phone that my information for roblox account was leaked and within 10 minutes I was safe. I definitely recommend trying it.
