I downloaded HomeworkApp hoping for a simple, accessible homework tracker. When I first opened HomeworkApp , it brought up the introduction and voiceover could read it, but once I dismissed the introduction, HomeworkApp crashed. I repeatedly tried opening HomeworkApp with voiceover on, but it always crashed, even after I turned my phone off and back on. I don't have enough vision to read print on my screen, but I can sometimes see the logo of an app when I first open it. So, I turned voiceover off and reopened HomeworkApp . After showing the logo for a few seconds, the screen changed and I saw what might have been a heading at the top of the page. I then tried turning on voiceover within HomeworkApp , but it once again crashed. HomeworkApp is completely inaccessible for me, so I have no way of knowing if any of its features would've been helpful to me or not.

I had HomeworkApp before the optional (mandatory) subscription was around.

HomeworkApp is very helpful for high school students. I am a sophomore in high school (I used this as a freshman) and while it didn’t work out for me in the first year, it will this year (I had some troubles keeping on track with HomeworkApp).

I only have 4 periods that I need to keep track of when it comes to homework. It’s beneficial for me because I don’t have to pay a subscription.

While I reap the benefits for not needing to pay a subscription, I am also appalled that other students do. We are people in education and affording a subscription is only for those who have money on hand. I can’t believe that you would try to earn money from people like us. I know it’s only $20, but many of us can’t and will not be able to afford something to expand HomeworkApp ’s functionality. It’s just cruel, in a sense, to make us pay for something that may be crucial to our school years.

Paying you $20 a year just so I can unlock more course spots & subtasks... I’d much rather buy a bag of candy than do that.

Please remove this subscription. It’s unfair to a lot of us and it only gets you bad reviews.

HomeworkApp for the last couple of months was an absolute lifesaver. In my high school we could buy our own planners which were $35 each they were made out cheap material and etc.. This saved me the $35 however my school blocks out cell and had “WiFi” by this I mean it’s a connection that you can make to just text not really do anything. Even on WiFi or not HomeworkApp worked until a couple of weeks ago I updated my apps (as usual) and noticed that I would get a pop up add every time for premium there was nothing I could do about I ignored it and moved on. Then I tried writing my math homework when HomeworkApp said network error tap to retry I tapped and it didn’t do anything after practically Hulk smashing the phone it worked I put in my assignment and went on. I later went to my locker which is a total dead zone of cell before HomeworkApp worked perfectly now it didn’t let me see my assignments thankfully I memorized them. However when I got home when I got home my assignments on HomeworkApp were gone just gone! All it said was Untitled assignment I was so so mad! I emailed and got my homework pages and etc. Back thank fully. I just went with the fact that HomeworkApp is not going to work anymore and deleted. Unless you will have good WiFi or a very strong cell connection constantly at your school use HomeworkApp otherwise be ware!

I do really like the user interface. It’s simple, smooth, and easy to work with. I like the color coding and big characters used. Entering assignments is also nearly effortless.

It’s just very bizarre that HomeworkApp appears to be missing obvious things. As a college student, the concept of schedule “periods” has no meaning to me. HomeworkApp assumes that classes follow a period schedule and that homework is always due during class. There is no way to specify a time when the homework is due. This is frustrating to me because most online assignments are due throughout the week and do not correspond to class times at all—not to mention online classes that do not occur at a set time in the first place.

Also, as you flip through the days of the week looking at assignments, you might notice that the date is nowhere to be found. The only information given is the date range for the entire week. The date and day of the week ought to both be prominently displayed.

Those are my only gripes so far, but they make me unsure if this is going to be a reliable app.

I love the layout and the simplicity of HomeworkApp! One problem I have noticed is that it crashes at two points. When I add a piece of homework and at 6pm, when it’s supposed to notify me (which it doesn’t btw), HomeworkApp seems to “crash” (my phone has a black loading screen, then asks me to unlock it again). I added all of my math homework for the semester, and I think it started about a third of the way through, so maybe the issue is that it can’t handle too much homework at once (and really, who can)? I actually forgot to turn in some homework because I’d expected this to tell me (not a big deal, this is a class I’m great at), but it’d be nice if you could work out that bug. I have an iPhone 7, iOS 11.4.1

Well right off the bat under HomeworkApp settings the “default reminder time” is misspelled.. it says “defualt”... anyhow that’s ok.. I love the UI and the ease of use with many options like the attachments for the reminders which comes really handy. Now I set some assignments and they where being displayed like 2 days before they where due on the date selector which I found odd cause the date was correct and notifications worked perfectly... lastly, HomeworkApp reaaaally needs iCloud sync support. I’m using it on my iPad but stopped using it on my iPhone because there’s no sync feature. Other than that, I’d recommend it to any student looking to be a bit more organized!

I just started using HomeworkApp and it's super helpful and the design is amazing. However, there are some problems with it. For example, when I set a due date for an assignment, in the calendar the due date ends up on the day before the actual date I set it. That's a little annoying. Also, during the tutorial, when flipping through the months on the calendar the months overlap and make it impossible to see them clearly. Thankfully that's only occurs when doing the tutorial, but still it would be nice if that could be fixed. If these bugs could be fixed I would definitely give HomeworkApp five stars.

This probably is the best homework app on HomeworkApp Store, very student friendly, and very good to keep me on track, I love it😁. The only problem is that I can’t seem to understand how to access my subscription plan. Going into the settings in HomeworkApp there is no option to access your 20 dollar subscription and I’m kind of unhappy because I even if I want to unsubscribe (which I don’t) I can’t. So unless they add an option to access my subscription they’re gonna keep taking my money every year because of the auto renewal feature🤨. Maybe it’s just me but please somebody tell me if there’s a way to fix this problem

I’ve used HomeworkApp for about a month. I really like it because I can put a reminder with a specific class or period. But one thing I do hate about HomeworkApp, it’s when I already completed something it still reminds me to do it even tho I check it off. By that I mean I have a specific time I want HomeworkApp to remind about about homework. But if I checked off before that set time. it stills appears and reminds me and I don’t get why. Shouldn’t it not remind about something I already did? But overall I do love HomeworkApp and it truly does deserve a 5 stars review but that just bother me so much that I can’t.

Honestly I have to say this is probably the best homework app ever made. Makes things so easy, and you have so many options for everything. You could get by without a planner and just HomeworkApp if you wanted to! Also, as just a side note, a lot of reviews are talking about bugs that make the homework show before the actual due date. I had the same exact problem and it was the one thing that frustrated me. BUT, there is actually a setting for you to choose whether you want it to show on the due date or the day before. Trust me, I hated how annoying it was to not have it on the due date but once you dig around settings you will find it. Just saying! If you need an app to organize your homework, I can guarantee 100% this one will satisfy you. You can even put it in your widgets area, which is super useful. I love using HomeworkApp bc I’m pretty unorganized myself. Definitely get it!!

It is a pretty clean interface! I won’t lie, at first I was confused and I didn’t trust that it would really work because when I put the reminder in, and told it to remind me a day before, the assignment would disappear from the due date and appear the day before. But I guess that’s just when HomeworkApp will remind me.

For the devs: I’d love it if when you put in an assignment, that you could save it as a repeated assignment. Also, I wish HomeworkApp would save the preferences from the previous assignment. (when I click the “plus” icon to create a new one, it never starts on the date I was currently on. So I always have to scroll down to find the right date. A little tedious.)

But overall, a great app! Love the no ads and clean design. Great job developers.

I'm used to being... Not so organized with my work. HomeworkApp really helped me organize all the work I had. It organized my dates, color coded my classes, and reminded me about my assignments. Overall, HomeworkApp really helped me get my stuff turned in. Heck, I probably would have forgotten at least one of my big assignments without HomeworkApp. My rating: an infinite five stars.

If I may make one suggestion, I would allow the person to select multiple periods for their classes. My school is weird and makes the Language Arts class two periods long, so I have to just select one and leave the other blank. It's not your fault, it's very stupid what my school does, but HomeworkApp could tweak that. It's easy to work around, if you can't add that feature.

I used to struggle with homework. I was either to lazy or forgot I even had it. Thanks to HomeworkApp I can organize my homework through all my classes/periods and I can assign dates and reminders on when to do them and when their due. I really love HomeworkApp and it’s whole idea! It helped me as asa student and I’m sure it will help millions in the future! Of course it costs some money but it’s worth it! Because of HomeworkApp I can get my homework in on time and get amazing grades or start on assignments a few days before. I really love the idea of the color coding of classes! Their is much more customizable settings but HomeworkApp has really helped me! BEST APP EVER!!!

Great app to help organize due dates on your phone and not have school work on your phone’s calendar!! I just wish the calendar and the background could change colors and backgrounds!! I bought HomeworkApp hoping that it would unlock certain features? But I still couldn’t change the background color:/ and it would be helpful to set a reminder up to 3 weeks! ALSO! It’d be nice if you could highlight the current day to help distinguish it from the other dates, as well as like a highlight for dates with assignments:D nonetheless, I love HomeworkApp ☺️❤️

This was the only homework planner app that I could find that worked well and was free— and I mean completely free. No add-ons to purchase, no features to unlock, nothing. Regardless of being free, HomeworkApp runs smoothly, and has a clean design. I can organize each assignments type (i.e. project, paper, reading, etc.), the course it was assigned from, the date it’s due, if and when I want a reminder, AND attach images or additional notes at, again, no additional cost. I recommend HomeworkApp to everyone, even if you’re not a student.
