The scheduled chat notifications do not always work.
I downloaded NoteYourself , started my first note Dash but I see no instructions, no way of attaching anything to any message, no paper clips, nothing! I’m doing this on my iPhone. When I tried to look for support, the only mention is that “ I’m available through Twitter“. For various reasons, I removed myself from Twitter. Isn’t there some other way of getting information? Thus, this review.
I tried to click the paperclip to attach a document to a note and it didn't work
Why are there no settings? You download NoteYourself and that's just it. You can't set anything up, you just start using it. I need options to change colors and notifications, things of that nature. NoteYourself has good bones to be a great app but I need more to it.
I like the idea of messages to myself that are stored locally, but the bright background colors are distracting to me. I’d like to be able to choose the color of each chat and have some less saturated options available.
Wonderful but it needs more reminder times and a few more features. Not too many. Maybe a few subtle reminder sounds Then it would be perfect.
Love NoteYourself , I would like to be able to reply to my notes though so I can almost add notes to a particular note but still have it look like a text thread.
App is great! Wondering if it’s possible to add a location based reminder feature?
Hello,
I just purchased this awesome app of yours and already came across a bug. It seems like every time I close NoteYourself on my iPad Pro 12.9 in 3rd gen that the orientation gets all funky. Please fix this asap as this is an excellent app. I really like it! Thanks much!
This is exactly the way my brain works as in sending texts to myself constantly, and then going through all my texts trying to find the one that I needed at the moment which isn’t the most efficient thing to do. This allows you to categorize the texts to yourself in the main categories that you set up to best match your situation. I’d give it 5 stars but one thing I am trying to figure out and can’t is this - I send myself a lot of links for articles, recipes, etc I want to reference later, doesn’t appear you can open a link or even copy and paste it from NoteYourself once you’ve sent it to yourself. Kind of a big drawback but seems like an easy fix. And if I’m wrong somebody please correct me.
UPDATE - switched review to 5 stars as developer read mine and a few other reviews and implemented suggestions. Giving credit where it’s due.
I can almost stop sending texts to myself. The only things that would make it better are iCloud syncing with my iPad and controlling the font size to have more items showing.
