Lack of human contact is a real negative on the portal. There are times when portal choices are inadequate. Examples fall into appointment, prescription and message choices. If an appointment needs to be virtual instead of in office it takes a good deal of messaging to get that confirmed.

Prescriptions have nuanced. Dates, expirations, duplicates, all cause misunderstandings.

Example: order written for three refills. One each month. Said prescription EXPIRES and becomes null and void. The administrator on your end misreads request and forwards the expired prescription back to the patient. The patient calls the pharmacy and it’s catch 22.

Trying to get hold of any live person is a futile effort. Many many things in healthcare requires a response to correct a HUMAN ERROR. But portal doesn’t allow for that communication.

Personally it’s very frustrating. I am not well. It’s so difficult to try to work within a system that doesn’t make a place for me.

Even tried to communicate through chat. It said nobody is available. Lots of opportunities for improvement.

I and my husband have recently done testing either through UMC or Laf General and I can’t find any information from 2022. Last information is from 2021. When I used the MyHealth portal; I could find all my information in a matter of days. Very discouraging, I even attempted to get help via phone call and after 3 transfers; still no one could answer my questions.

Called 5 times still cannot get past medical records pulled up

The doctor as the ability to block you from responding back. I had serious health questions about my Urinary system that were constantly getting under minded. I finally got a quick bland response an was blocked from texting with the doctor. I’ve already put in a complaint about this doctor but I doubt things will change. Legal action seems like the way these people want you to go. I mean who blocks their patients from asking questions. It’s not like I would be able to call because everything is automated responses or sends you to a front counter person who has no idea what’s going on

The previous app was more user friendly, and since adopting the new app, I have yet to have a successful virtual visit with my immunologist. I had 100% success with virtual visits with the previous app - it was simple and easy. After several unsuccessful attempts to have virtual visits with physicians, I was told to contact customer service who would talk me through it. I did, but while I was able to establish video contact with my physician, there was no audio. Customer service was no help at that point, because once visual was established, the customer service call was dropped. I reported this to customer service and was told to contact them again before my next virtual visit, because it worked so well the last time.

This is an Amazing App! It’s extremely helpful because basically everything you need is at your fingertips… records, communications, doctor notes, appointments, etc. I don’t have to call a nurse for a refill, I can just ask them through a text message.

But I use MyOchsner very hesitantly, because I know that nothing on the internet is 100% safe from nefarious actions. I constantly fear that the great amount of my information, that is recorded on the Oschner system, will be stolen and used against me. Because of this unfortunate doubt in my head, I don’t feel like I can have a complete conversation with my health provider!

The way that the system is designed, is to document everything. The entire conversation that I had with my Oschner doctor was typed up and added to my file on the MyOscner App, potentially for any cyberstalker to steal and post freely on the darkweb.

I will never feel 100% safe while using the MyOschner App.

I am new to this site and although it’s impressive in its scope, at least in my case it struggles to be current. I had to have a procedure delayed and yet the site does not reflect that.
It was also difficult to figure out how to request my doctor to contact me. I finally worked through the steps, but something as basic as having a personal question or concern to relay to my doctor should be more obviously posted as an easy option.

The only problem I seem to be having is when I pay my bill ONLINE, it asks if you would like to pay a specific bill or (recommended) let y’all decide which bills to apply it to.. I got a phone call several weeks ago about one of the $4.75 bills I owe, said she was going to turn me over to collections for that amount,,, WHY when I pay you, you cannot apply $4.75 to a bill, then apply the rest of the money to an older account also? This makes absolutely no sense at all to me.. so if this email will make any difference at all, can you start paying the older ones, then start applying to more recent bills? Waiting for a response please..

Lately I’ve been getting a message that says

“We couldn’t log you in right now. Please try again.” I have a fairly important message from my doctor and I’m trying to read it and I keep getting this message.

This has been happening for the past few weeks. If something here is just getting overloaded and it’s not letting me in because there isn’t enough bandwidth then that needs to be resolved. Please fix this, and thank you in advance.

I like the Ochsner app because you can access a lot of info. But a few things could be changed:
1. With the original app you could look at your previous results of old lab work so you can see a trend or a graft. Now you have to type the word “this app” into your search bar. Then you are able to see your previous lab work side-by-side along with the new lab work.
2. No way to get rid of old messages. You can put them in the trashcan but you can’t empty the trashcan. So you have all this collected in your app. That really needs to be changed. Thank you for letting me voice my opinion.

I enjoy being able to see my test results as soon as they are available, as well as, being able to email and talk with the nurse and doctor. The cost estimate is also a good tool available and has been pretty accurate. The only part I do not like, is trying to make an appointment. You have to call and go through the Ochsner’s call people if you need an urgent appointment.

I love the fact that I can look at my clinical notes and test results anytime. Reviewing my test results before my appointment afforded me the opportunity to ask the right questions during my appointment. When reviewing my latest test results there was significant improvement 🙌🏾 Being more aware of the “why” allowed me to change some bad habits ( junk food/soda). My only negative is, messaging the doctor, some do not respond to messages.

I’ve been having issues with your site finding links to where I need to access. The options do not apply. The only one really clear is making appts . And paying.

I used to be able to access my husband’s information, but now I am unable to go from mine to his. I get messages showing his issues , but can’t access it unless he is here to login . I can’t logon to his unless his “face” is here.
It’s getting very confusing.

MyOchsner is handy reference to your medical records. However, other apps allow you to compare previous test results to current test results so that you can see the difference immediately MyOchsner does not do that which is a big pain making you have to go back-and-forth to check results from previous results. Also, it does not show transferred history as other apps do. All in all, it’s a great app and it’s handy to have but it could have a few things added to make it amazing.

I rarely ever leave reviews but I gotta say, this Ochsner app is phenomenal! It’s so user friendly my elderly mom can use it (no offense mom)! You get yr test results ASAP and even like MRI/X-ray results, you see what the drs put in yr charts, you can chat w the MAs thru texting and they respond quickly so you don’t have to call and wait on hold. It’s just the best app for medical! I wish all apps were this easy! I tell ANYONE going thru Ochsner to get MyOchsner ! Makes life medically so much easier!

I really do love MyOchsner especially after cancer took my ability to talk in 2014 because now I can get in touch with my drs make appointments or even reschedule or cancel if I have to so it has truly been a great help to me because my husband can’t always get the time at work to make a phone call for me as he is a delivery driver but with MyOchsner I can do almost everything and I really love the fact that I can see alll my test results and the in hospital part is great

Everything I need in this application. Appointment schedule and reminders keeps me up on what information when and where location. Can pay my co-pay and outstanding balances. The best is to see the doctor visit notes , treatment and subscriptions given during the visit. And many more features. I love I can do these things from my cell phone or computer anywhere.

I have no transportation and it makes it so much easier to talk to my doctors! Especially my psychiatrist! Dr. Charles helps me so very much!

MyOchsner makes everything concerning doctor visits easier. You can schedule or cancel a visit or test, message and receive messages from doctors, read notes from doctor visits, see lab and test results, see dates of future visits, get reminders … so many things! It has made all the doctor related stuff so much easier!

Fantastic app. So much more involved and easy to use. I love having everything in one app!!

I enjoy having all of my health information at my fingertips. I can easily contact my doctor, ask a question or request an appointment. Also my blood test results are in my pocket along with any other tests. All of my doctors are in MyOchsner for me to contact and review.
All of my medications are here also so I don’t have to write and carry my own list.

I know for me all my needs are very well taken care of. I am a diabetic. The way you can get in touch with your health care provider and the quick results on test information is phenomenal. I love that they will help you in anyway they can to meet your needs. God bless them and their work to help you and give you information.

I have used MyOchsner since before the upgrade and it has made such a difference. I am on the backside of breast cancer and MyOchsner made it so much easier to keep my appointments straight, message my care team when I needed to as well as making co-pays easier and more expedient. I would definitely recommend MyOchsner .. and I don’t normally recommend anything.

I am very pleased with the experience I’ve had at every visit to Ochsner. They are friendly experts that really care. My primary care physician Dr Jason Schrock has a great temperament and makes me feel encouraged about the future of my health as I approach 70.
Well run and up to date, Ochsner is a top notch facility where an 8:00am appointment means 8:00am! Ochsner is the “Chick-Fillet” of health care. Thank you to all the staff at the Prairieville clinic and the main hospital.

Can’t say enough. This is the most well laid out app I’ve ever used especially with a health organization. Logs in easily, navigates easily and I can add appointments to my own calendar from MyOchsner and it will add details in my calendar if I choose. Ochsner has gone above and beyond in my opinion. I can access any of my bloodwork, test results, etc. If I were somewhere that I needed this info it is readily available. Thanks!

Have been using MyOchsner for a little over 2 months now and just saw that I could link another hospital program/stats with this one. How wonderfully easy that was! My other hospital link was so difficult I rarely cked it missing out on the info I wanted to see at my fingertips. This is the best! No stress! So easy, go for it and see what you’ve always wanted to know. Thank you for this great idea.

My first positive experience was with Cassidy Hunt whom helped me with scheduling.
She went out of her way calling me and helping me with a radiology appointment.
Then ,Christie that did my ultrasound was exceptionally good and made me feel comfortable and explained everything that I knew she understood exactly what she was doing. She had to do extra and made me comfortable.
I have had multiple test at multiple hospitals over years, but really thank everyone that helped me at Ochners in Morgan City.

My Ochsner chart is absolutely priceless to keeping up with everything while we have been here! We are able to know our results extremely quick, pre check in, little to no wait! Keep up with Appts & any changes that were made!

Ochsner has been an extremely pleasant experience even though we were here for a very serious procedure! My husband actually had a liver transplant & we didn’t have a negative person or event that happened at all!

For someone with serious health problems involving multiple organ systems and requiring many specialists, both at Ochsner and elsewhere, MyOchsner is truly valuable. I often receivetest results quickly and can share them with outside physicians, avoiding repeat testing. It also helps them see my true health picture.

I can make appointments and communicate with most Ochsner caregivers. (Though each uses MyOchsner differently. Some only list upcoming appointments and lab results; others do not use MyOchsner at all. Their appointments and those they schedule with others, like PT, may not appear.)

The new app is great!

IMO MyOchsner makes scheduling appointments with Ocshner providers so easy! I can do it myself 24/7 and it will be confirmed immediately, as if I was speaking with a receptionist. Its great when I remember at 10p at night! I have access to full medical records, including actual images of radiology test. It just cuts down on my time when I arrive at office. I highly recommend it.
