With the advent of health data transfer interoperability, I am sad to
see the disappearance of IBp’s link to
the Withings App. Withings BP and weight data integrates seamlessly and automatically within Apple Health, which is great, but no other BP app compares to IBp’s graphic displays of BP data longitudinally. That makes it even more distressing to lose the ability to at least be able to periodically download BP data from Withings’ Healthmate online. Of course ideally one would have liked it to be fully automatic, but now one has to periodically download BP data from Healthmate online, then reformat the data to match iBP’s format, to be able to import the data into iBP. This discourages me from using iBp on a regular basis because my only other option would be to manually input my BP data into iBp which seems even more ridiculous in this day and age of health data integration.

It is great way of recording your BP.
As far as we (my wife & me) There are two weak points:
1) it would be nice to individually set the red/yellow/green ranges. One of us has high blood pressure and the doctor considered that person is in the green for 130 or under while the green range is 120 or under. We could reset the green range to 130, but it resets the range for both of us. It would be nice if we could have separate ranges.
2) we record our % of fat which for most people is in the range of 9.0% to 20.0%. To graph it you have to enter it times 10, that is 12.6% has to be entered as 126. And, it graphs it on the same chart as the BP. it would be nice % of fat could be entered as a percent and graph on its own graph. And that graph be flexible enough for those who want to graph something other then what % of fat.

This is an outstandingly good app. I have tried many and this is easily the best. There is one small improvement that needs to be made with the graphing function. On the vertical scale the blood pressure is in units of 20 i.e. 80, 100, 120, 140 etc which of course makes the graph very easy to read. After recording my readings for a period of one week and having taken over 70 readings, the vertical scale switched to units of 14 i.e. 82, 96, 110, 124, 138 etc. Everything else remained as it was but now the graph became much more difficult to understand. A minor fix of that issue and I would give iBPBloodPressure 5 stars.

Purchased the Omron BP786N to replace my wrist B/P device. The cuff fits my arm perfect and I really appreciate the way it stays firm to slide in position and then the soft Velcro flap secures it to your arm. My readings are now consistent with the Doctor's office. The screen is easy to read and I use the 3 B/P average mode for all my readings. The only negative (why I didn't give it a 5) is that the Bluetooth transfer of data to the Omron app is not maintained on my iphone - it's put on Omron cloud servers. I use a different app (iBP) to input my data on my iPhone, which is super easy, and I can also highly recommend.

I started using this when my doc said I was pre-hypertensive. The list and the charts are easy to use and helps me track my progress over time visually. My doc looked at it right on iPad to get a good feel for my daily pressure levels to help diagnose me. The only thing I would like is if the notes were searchable. I like to notate if I am having a problem with heart palpitations etc. would like to search for those key words to track patterns. Other than that I love it.

I used it several years ago when I was first experiencing high blood pressure. I showed my doctor my chart that iBPBloodPressure produced. He was extremely impressed with iBPBloodPressure .
I am experiencing some days with high blood pressure again and am keeping a record of it with iBPBloodPressure. I’m sure my doctor will be happy to see the charts again. It helped him last time to see what I was experiencing and I’m sure it will once again be a tool of value.

I have been using iBPBloodPressure for over a year now and have been happy with it. It is simple to use and supplies the right info for my needs. The graphs are great and the distribution chart useful. It's way better than the hand written slips of paper I used to use. Also exporting the data as a CSV file worked great. When I upgraded my phone the data imported flawlessly. I like the old interface look better but that is a rock I throw at IOS 9 rather than at iBPBloodPressure itself.

I’ve tried several BP apps for years, and this is the best one I’ve seen by far! iBPBloodPressure developers must be brilliant because they’ve made this extremely easy and fast to use not only for logging BP, charting, reporting, etc. but also for sending it to doctors and others who need to know. The linking between iPad and iPhone is simple too, so it becomes very convenient to use at doctors offices when your BP is checked for other types of appointments, etc. Great Job!

Love iBPBloodPressure. Been using it since it came out. Easy to send info to my doctor and I like how I can make summary/notes.
One thing I would like it to do is have a way to make notes and without taking blood pressure readings. I use the notes for all health related things like exercise, medication and modes... But wouldn't want to put in a BP numbers and weight because it will be a false reading. Other than that it's still a 5star app!

My initial review is below; which was years ago. iBP continues to be a fantastic app. Easy to use and sync between my devices. I use it almost daily.
I'll start by saying I had been using HeartWise (iPod) app for 3 years. It works great and I had no problems with it. Then I got an iPad. Heartwise charged me an additional 2.99, just a few weeks ago, for the (iPad) app, which I later found out would not import data, even it's own (at least easily)! I tried to contact HeartWise recently on two accounts regarding this ... no response. I tried to go to their support page and got some error message. That's when I found iBP. I got iBP 2 weeks ago. I had some issues, importing my HeartWise data. However, iBP support not only contacted me back within a day, but took care of my issue and I now have all my data in iBP and using it without issues and am very pleased! Lastly, I heard that the HeartWise app was abandoned, although unconfirmed; they last updated their app(s) in 2010.

iBPBloodPressure has been in my use for many years to track my blood pressure and blood glucose. Since both of these measures fluctuate over time, it is important to understand trends. iBPBloodPressure has built in chart creation which I capture with a screen shot for my doctor to examine.
Easy to use and configure. Useful charts.
Highly recommended!

This is one of the most useful apps I own. Years ago, my dr described my bp as "labile", constantly changing and, of course, my bp is always high in the dr's office. iBPBloodPressure calculates the trendline from my daily readings that shows my typical bp is well within normal ranges, despite the variances. I print a screenshot of the graph (which is much better than the Apple Health app) to take to my dr as part of my annual physical.

IBP is a fabulous app. I have used it continuously for a couple of years. It helped me and my Cardiologist identify my need for adjustments to blood pressure meds, and to identify some dietary & lifestyle triggers, which may lead to spikes or more moderate elevation in blood pressure. The report and graphing functions are very helpful. As an added bonus, it tracks weight. I recommend it to anyone who has hypertension. Get it. Use it.

Tracking my blood pressure is not something that I like to do, but is something that I need to do. With iBP I can accomplish this end and know that I am using a product designed by folks that have actually thought about and understand the needs of people such as myself. Data in iBP are recorded and presented in a manner that is relevant and interpretable. What more does one need?

I have high blood pressure and this makes tracking it easy. My doctor wants to see my readings and they are right there. He needs the average over the last month or three months and it's there. He needs to see a trend graph and it's there. Everything he needs to see is in one place. He's even recommending iBPBloodPressure for his patients with smart phones! Great app.

I’ve been using iBPBloodPressure since 2018 off and on. Now I will be using iBPBloodPressure daily per my doctors request to test my blood pressure twice a day. iBPBloodPressure has all the bells and whistles and is much better than any of the free ones. You get what you pay for.
I hope the author will continue updating iBPBloodPressure .

I started with this BP tracking App several years ago and then went to others—because they seemed more up-to-date—and now I’m back to iBP. I like to see all of my BP readings for a day be graphed independently and iBP does this—others only want to graph an average for the day. For my type of tracking purposes, and the type of information that I want to see, I think iBP is the best available.

I use iBPBloodPressure at least twice daily to track my blood pressure. I also use it to track my sodium intake with the user defined entry. I previously was on medication for hypertension but the medication side effects were causing me other problems. With the help of iBPBloodPressure I was able to stop medication and get my hypertension under control by limiting sodium intake to around 1500mg/day. There are always ways to improve software but iBPBloodPressure gets most things right in an elegant way. I am also a software developer so I appreciate great software and iBPBloodPressure is certainly in that category. Thanks to this developer for a great app and the continued support!

I've been using iBPBloodPressure for 5 years. It makes the job of recording and tabulating my BP data amazingly simple and highly functional.
After I weigh myself at home, I take a BP reading on my Omron BP device, I record the data immediately, along with a brief note concerning anything about how I feel or whatever I think might have affected my reading. This takes less than a minute on the iBP Blood Pressure.
I also record readings taken whenever I visit my doctor's office.
iBPBloodPressure includes incredibly easy-to-read charts and graphs. The developer has created the finest example of simplicity, readability, and functionality of all the hundreds of iPhone apps I have used. Period. 5-STAR app with no reservations!
PS I believe that using iBPBloodPressure regularly is one reason that my overall health has improved considerably. It would be an incredible bargain at 10X the original cost!

Update: two phones later and still using iBPBloodPressure. Does almost exactly what I need.
Does everything I want it to do. Love the notes section because I can keep track of medication changes and activity prior to the readings. Would like an option to easily note home BP readings versus dr readings as I believe my monitor tends to run high.
