pretty much unsuable now. google locks the browser and filters all of the images into safe search so it is impossible to view results. garbage.
I tried it with 5 images and it couldn’t find a single one. It’s just a shoddy web browser with an interface to upload the images, and it only searches one engine at a time. Not only that, I think it was using some sort of ML or GenAI to make extra prompts for some reason. None of which was helpful.
At least it doesn’t have any cost to actually using GetSauce , just tips. That’s worth at least one extra star.
Immediately after GetSauce updated on my iPad 6th gen (running 16.4) any Yandex and Bing searches stopped going through at all. Google, TinyEye still executing search and returning results normally. (Jan 31, 2023)
Update (Feb 2, 2023) Dev followed up, confirming the issue and letting me know a fix is coming. - very happy, will be supporting GetSauce with ad removal add-on moving forward!
I've had an excellent experience with GetSauce so far. When I didn't find what I was looking for using the top search engine, all I had to do was go to the next one on the list and I found exactly what I needed. The searches I've done have all been lightning fast and, more importantly, accurate. High praise for this FREE app that has an unobtrusive option to tip very modest amounts. If you want an app for image searches, get this one!
