Installed Realm and received call to sell their paid service (help you to plan your renovation and source contractor). Since I am in the market for contractor, I paid and tried their service. My conclusion was completely useless.
They basically send my project to their list of contractors and see who is interested. Then, schedule a walkthrough with me and provide the bid. My project is pretty small and didn’t get a lot of interest. this app project manager is not responsive at all, it took me over 2 months to get 3 bids and missed my timeline. I had questions and wanted clarification on the bid. They never came back to me. In term of price, the bids are not competitive based on my other recent project. Overall, this app helped me to schedule 3 walkthroughs and get 3 bids in two months time. That’s it.
Seriously. What’s the point. Ok, you give me my home value. You are estimating my equity based on public record information. That’s about it. No interesting insights about the area. Literally just the stats of my home, their estimated value of my and the equity that they believe I have in it. Big whoop.
Maybe if I put down I was looking to sell or something, maybe that would kick me into a bucket of potential monetization for them and then would actually provide something of value to me. I’m going to delete Realm and unsubscribe from their deluge of emails that kept begging me to download that app.
If I’m missing the point, feel free to respond, But otherwise, I don’t get the point of Realm whatsoever.
At first it’s intriguing to see home values and such, but when you look closely, most of what is in Realm just doesn’t make sense. They are telling me that my driveway would be $8k to redo, but the going rate for a driveway my size is over $40,000 when done in the cheapest surface. Then they say a $2k water heater will increase my home value by over $20k! Huh? Most of what is in Realm is way off of reality, rendering it pretty useless.

Developer finally closed my account after ignoring first request. My bug reports went unanswered. Overall I didn’t see the value and it was a major hassle. Since they finally closed my account I changed from one star to two.
Realm indicates there are 3 notifications or alerts. I go into Realm , no red icons or exclamation points...so exit and alert badges are still there...3! I go back into Realm , opened the menu, still no visible or pending alerts...went into each window then exited Realm ...still there. Ended up turning off notifications which is a shame because I like the updates/alerts.
Every time I try to get to the projects page I have to start over on Realm as if I never submitted the information the first go around.
Also there’s no easy way to get to that part of Realm
Gives specific info about what I should do to my home to “keep up with the Joneses”. Originally planned on getting a new roof, but now I realize getting new flooring is actually a better investment in my area. Makes me excited to stay in our current house.

this app is the only app I have that sends helpful push notifications. I’ve learned so much about my home and what’s going on in my neighborhood. I feel like an expert even though I’m still new to this homeownership thing.
If you are thinking about renovating and are looking for guidance pick this app! They really made the process so much easier and took all of the guesswork out of my ADU project. this app was very accurate in my home evaluation, based on similar homes in my neighborhood and factoring my improvements I found the tool very helpful for my planning on this home and possible other purchases
I’ve been wanting to renovate my home but couldn’t figure out which projects I should do. this app made it super easy to figure out which were the best from a home value standpoint, then helped me figure out all the details so I can finally and confidently get started on the renovations I’ve been dreaming about since I bought my house.
It was really nice to learn more about my home and the surrounding neighborhood. Also gave me some great insights on how much certain projects would add to my home value. Would definitely recommend to any homeowner!

I’ve been using this app for a few weeks and I’m excited that there’s now an app. I love being able to look at my home’s value and see tips and advice right from my phone. I think my favorite thing is that this app has helped me to decide which project I’m going to do first (my first reno ever) and as I approach contractors I feel like I’m going to have a strong sense of whether the bids are fair.
Being a homeowner is confusing. this app helps me understand what project I should do next, my home finances, and what my neighbors are up to. I love understanding what my home is actually worth and how much projects cost!
App seemed to work for a few weeks but now upon loading it just goes black
it was so easy to set up and they were able to give me a ton of information right off the bat! I love being able to track what’s going on in my local the real estate market, and the tool and info they provide really help me understand the impact of certain homeownership decisions I was already considering and flagged some areas that I hadn’t even thought of!
