Noteful: Note-Taking on PDF Reviews

The number of templates they have are ok but when I take notes I like to take notes on a template that looks like line paper with the header on top I was able to bring my own template from another app so that’s not a huge problem. On top of that the one thing that I did not like that I get from GoodNotes is the ability to search for words that i wrote Noteful only searches for typed words which is a huge drawback. I like to write my notes and it would be great if I could also look up words that aren’t typed. Other than that everything is good I like the pends and the style they have its just a matter of getting us to a different style.

Folders or dividers are absent, no syncing with desktop, no template for covers of notebook, etc. Once these features are added, it will be an excellent app with a Lower price than the other similar ones. Days have passed and my files have not been synced across devices, even if I put only two files for testing.

i said i wouldn’t pay for a note taking app cuz i didn’t need one but $5 (no subscription!!) was such a steal and the free version was everything i was looking for (easy import/edit of PDFs, several highlighting and pen colors) that i had to. love Noteful

This is a good app but the developers need to create a way of adding and editing tags without having to open a notebook. In addition, putting the text for tags inside a notebook is not necessary.
Moreover, the existence of tags should not depend on notebooks. Currently if you delete the last notebook that belong to a tag, the tag will be deleted as well. I would be great to still have that tag available.

Ease of use and will pay for creative templates for notes. They are several apps but not many with templates to use of the box. Will be a nice feature, I would even subscribe to month to month basis, for templates.

I requested a search feature on 2/23 and on 3/6 a new update was pushed with that feature. Thanks for listening to request. Love Noteful use it daily. This search feature will be very helpful.

I have been searching for a sleek notes app to scribble and organize notes. This is in my opinion the best of them. Love it.

This is a great App. Very practical! I would advise the developers to add a function to search a specific work in a document with the "Magnifying Glass." Also, it would be grate if it is possible to create folders to put the notebooks in. Thanks

Last December I was able to do date stamps in the notebooks and now I can’t. I love it but i wish there was still the date stamp option in the pages

Noteful is just awesome. In one word, the best app for students. It’s relatively new but has a lot of potential. I hope they will add more Features soon.

I find myself switching between using Noteful and notability, but only because there are still some fixes Noteful can make before I make the permanent switch over. Here is a list of what I think could make Noteful better: 1. Every time I leave Noteful , even for a short amount of time, Noteful restarts and kicks me out of the notebook I was working on which is by far the first bug I think needs to go. 2. A feature that locks images on notebooks so that you don’t accidentally edit the picture when you annotate on top of it 3. Allow changes on notebook templates like line width 4. Include calendar and daily/weekly scheduling templates 5. Allow highlighting on dark mode notebooks. Right now, the highlighter doesn’t come through if you use a dark background notebook which basically makes that feature useless. 6. Give a dotted line writing option for the pen tool 7. Recognize arrows with the “hold for shape” feature of the pen. 8. Be able to select and copy sections of pdfs using the lasso tool and post them into other notebooks 9. When I try to open a document via this app, I need to do this action twice because for some reason the first time I share, it doesn’t open a new notebook with the document I want to import. These are just some of the fixes I have noted down this past week of using the this app pro version. Overall, I think Noteful has a lot of potential and already includes features that Notability doesn’t have that I really like. Keep up the good work devs! Can’t wait for future updates!

Only if it has a text recognising capabilities, it would get the 5 stars
Goodnote PDF annotation is better, meaning the Search and text selection.

Didn’t find the handwriting recognition that great. Unfortunately I hate to pay for it to find that out.

I saw Noteful on YouTube and decided to try it out. I ended up getting the pro version of Noteful because I really liked what Noteful has to offer so far. The handwriting on Noteful also feels a lot better than the other apps I have tried. One thing that I would love to have on Noteful is the option to have bullet points when adding text as a lot of my notes for class are outline based. Overall, I really like Noteful.
