Field Routes is a downgrade

I’ve used pest routes for years and I must say the new app is a downgrade from pest routes. The color of pins are very similar so it’s hard to tell black pins from blue pins, I could see this being a problem for people who are colorblind. I also hate how you can only load small sections of pins when on sales routes you could load a whole area. Also the map works way slower on field routes and honesty I get such a headache from looking at the map from the way everything is blown up and how small all the pins and customer stars. I mean I could go on and on about every detail on how I’d prefer sales routes over their new app. Honestly at this point I feel like you guys are taking a step even further back. I’ve literally haven’t met anyone that is happy about you guys switching software. The new app needs major rework!

Bane of my existence

Pest routes had issues but ever since we had to switch to field routes, everyday has become a headache at work. FieldRoutes constantly bugs out and jumbles my route around after I schedule it which results in an array of issues. It takes forever to load and the customer service is just about useless. I thought pest routes was annoying at times but this has truly made work stressful on a daily basis and if your company is considering using them, I strongly advise not to. It’ll result in frustrated and inefficient workers. Truly praying something gets fixed fasts.

Zero stars

Worst app I have ever been graced using. 100% of the time it resets multi service properties after completing the job setting them back to pending. Company who made app refuses to acknowledge or fix issues that have been stated in reviews as far back as 4 years. They gaslight you into thinking your doing something wrong even after you fill out all areas it claims are not filled out. Terrible app and this company should be sued and shut down.

SAVE PEST ROUTES

As a lot of other door to door people probably have commented, everything about field routes is worse than pest. It takes forever to load, makes you load customers that aren’t even yours, and it just works terribly. When it comes to PEST ROUTES. I have never had one issue aside from rep spy messing up where it doesn’t show the correct person. Why why why would you switch your app from the most user friendly software ever, to a mediocre app that achieves less than its predecessor?

Constantly loading and freezing while saving

No issues with pest routes but then we were forced to move over to this. Constantly refreshing every time I open my phone and for the last week every time I go to close a job it gets stuck on “saving appointment” until finally I have to force close and do it again and reinput all equipment, product, notes, payments and I usually have to go through this process 3-4 times which adds roughly an hour to an hour and a half each day. Ridiculous.

Not much improvement for tech user

Still does the same things as the original technician app.

Would love to see it navigate to the schedule or route view for the technician rather than having to navigate to the “more” button to get to those views.

Have been asking for a quicker way to enter target pests or areas when having to occasional enter a product from scratch and not from template.

For years been waiting for you guys to improve the removal of products from a service report. Maybe something more intuitive such as a swipe to delete?

Right now your process has too many steps to delete a product.

Uploading multiple images is a nightmare. If I have 10-20 photos to upload, it is time consuming and near impossible to do even with decent or full data.

Please fix, I don’t understand how your app has a 4 star + rating?

Signed up promised me 3 months free in addition to transferring over all my old clients data from our last program, within 24 hours I was already charged. Haven’t been given a demo let alone any info yet. Figured if I’m already charged may as well get on and get to work right? There is no simple way to figure this program out. If I have to take a 3-6 week course just to navigate I’d strongly pass as I need that time to dedicate to my business and customers. Look around there are better options out there. I’ll be canceling immediately

Unreal

You have tons of people depending on FieldRoutes to do their jobs and it’s been broken for forever. Whoever is responsible for updating and maintaining the quality of FieldRoutes is dropping the ball or they just don’t care. It’s like some 20 year old tech intern idiot made this. Seeing every other review is saying the same thing this is an ongoing issue. I shouldn’t be stressing over this broken app during my work day work already can get stressful. Unprofessional and just outright disrespectful at this point. This is a HUGE downgrade from pestroutes and I despise the fact I’m being forced to use this. Can’t save target areas or target issues I just get thrown out of the appointment. Even with full bars and a good connection it’s SO SLOW. Figure it out bozos.

An absolute mess

AVOID! Lacking in key features and riddled with bugs top to bottom. With some of the design choices that were made I’m convinced that whoever designed FieldRoutes has never even held an iPhone before. Even selecting items from a menu is cumbersome and annoying, for example, when adding equipment to an account and selecting the target area, the menu is so small that simply scrolling toggles iPhone’s “reachability” feature over and over. Some submenus offer search whereas others don’t, not sure why. The barcode scanner is crude and works 50% of the time. On top of all this, if you have poor service in an area forget about using FieldRoutes. These are just a few examples of many. Just a sorry excuse especially for the money our company is paying.

Downgrade

Thankfully I didn’t delete PestRoutes Tech when I downloaded this app. The biggest issues is when I’m entering a product it’ll randomly act like it’s saving everything like when one does from the main tab, once you hit back it kicks you out to your list and the product you were saving didn’t save. It’s become more and more frustrating as it’s happened to be several times in a row. Another issue is when trying to save everything or marking an account as complete it sit there saving forever. Basically freezing so you have to start FieldRoutes over. But when you bring up the account again it blanks all your work even if you hit save previously. I know this can happen when you have poor cell reception but this has happened multiple times at full bars.

Not a good first impression

Just downloaded FieldRoutes yesterday on my work phone. The one my company has been using for the last 3-4 years got bought out. Within the first stop, it crashed twice. FieldRoutes brought me back to the main checking screen. I checked for an updated version to see if that’s what the problem was and it’s updated to the recent version. ( Field Routes version 1.15.1 v137 (C) ) Theres bugs that need to be fixed in FieldRoutes. I’m told we’re going to have to switch to FieldRoutes by April 1st because our other one will be gone. From looking at the other reviews on FieldRoutes, seems like it’s not going to be a fun experience. They just tell you to contact customer service without giving a definitive answer. This program costs the company a LOT of money. You’d think they’d use that money to fix the problems.

Updated new app has a big flaw. It’s very frustrating

The new update app is erasing all information is you don’t save before your phone screen timed out. Example, lock screen or the screen timeout, everything like notes, product use, and signatures gets erased. The updated new app has a big flaw. It’s very frustrating please fix this. The old app was better at saving without the worry of lost information.

Update suggestion

When viewing a customer there is a tab that reads “ on my way “. This calculates an amount of time from our gps location to the customer. We have to give many customers a 30 minute or 60 minute call ahead. Will you update FieldRoutes so we can select our own amount of time such as 30 or 60 minutes ? The current configuration causes us technicians to ask our office to make a lot of phone calls. This update suggestion will increase efficiency for company operations. Thank you for your consideration.

Could be much better

Not very intuitive, super clunky. Have reps who used to use Sales Routes and wish they could go back. Shows way too many options that gives too much opportunity for things to be chosen incorrectly. Often things that are supposed to be there via the knowledge base are not there.

Needs someone who understands ease of use and flow to come in and overhaul.

Good features, but relies too much on cloud

FieldRoutes has some great features, but relies too heavily on cloud service to save/make changes to appointments. It makes it especially challenging when working routes that are rural and cell signal is hard to find.
A step in the right direction would be to have FieldRoutes download and save your route to your local storage and also handle uploading pictures and writing notes as a data packet on your local storage that gets sent out when signal is available. And its really inconvenient that you can only upload one picture at a time.
A nice feature to have would be where you can make multiple picture selections to upload to an appointment all at once.

Long way to go

I’m rewriting my review because my prior issues have stopped, but there are still plenty of issues with FieldRoutes.

The way some of these products auto populate is dumb. They should just give us, as individuals, the ability to have our products auto populate how we prefer. Who uses optiguard flex in ounces? Why should I have to change it to gallons every time? It just doesn’t make sense.

Also, people in our office, have noticed that yellow notes have been randomly getting wiped out in dozens of accounts.

If I see progress in either of these, you get another star, but for now it sticks at three.

Big bug fix pls

Connecting this app to navigation has become almost impossible. I am not sure if anyone else is experiencing this issue but stringing multiple routes together is no longer a possibility. Even getting one route to connect has become a pain. I now have to enter addresses manually buy switching between apps.

Logging out and back in does not help, checking for app updates does nothing, and restarting my work iPhone does nothing. I tried installing FieldRoutes on my personal Z fold 4 and the same issue persists. Different carriers, different platforms, no effect. Pls address this bug, Ty

Need issue resolved

App closes randomly and often. Have to constantly hit the save button. But sometimes your in the middle of entering all the notes and it will close. And you have to start over. Big hassle for our company. Time efficiency as a company is suffering, when we have to start work orders over again.

Much better!

Significant improvements in stability have made this into an actual viable pest control app. Additional tweaking to the UI has made it more user friendly as well. Can now definitely recommend FieldRoutes to other users!

I’ve been using FieldRoutes for almost 3 years and it works great. I’ve worked with this program between two different pest control companies no issues. I also work on the backend which is also very easy to learn and easy to navigate through.
