It’s okay but there is room for improvement

I really like this game so much so, that I am already at level 166 after only having this game for a couple of days. However a few small changes would definitely make this game worth 5 stars. The main thing that needs improvement is the dragons and the habitats. A few improvements that would help this game be worth 5 stars and get more downloads would be, that after unlocking a new habitat you should be able to move whatever dragons you want to that habitat. For example, if I have the Coral dragon on the Initial Island Habitat and I unlock the Undersea World Habitat, then I would like to be able to move the Coral dragon from the Initial Island to the Undersea World. Another thing that would be helpful is that we could store any dragons we want. Another good idea I highly recommend for improvement is that we don’t have to have exactly 20 dragons on 1 habitat. because having 20 dragons on 1 habitat looks very over crowded. A good way that this could be fixed would be that in order to unlock a new habitat, we should have to find a key in the solitaire puzzle.
Also it would be very helpful to be able to see the dragons species after they hatched. For example, if I get a new special event dragon, after it hatched I would like to at least be able to click on the dragon to see what it is called.
Other than the parts that need improvement, the game itself is overall really fun and addicting.

Awesome time waster

Love that there are almost no restrictions on play time or tries- unlike some puzzle games, there are no “lives” that you can lose from failing a “level”, and there’s no timer on how many deals you can play. If I wanted to, I could play 24/7, which is nice since I hate apps that try to get you to pay for time to play.
Levels are extremely easy, but just challenging enough that it keeps you interested. I haven’t been unable to complete one yet, but if you do want to restart you can at no cost. The most fun part is trying to beat your last time.
The dragons are very cute and incentivize you to keep playing, but they’re also not a huge part of the game so you could honestly just play solitaire and ignore the dragons. I would like the dragons to be more expanded upon, like a mix of Dragonvale and solitaire.
Very few ads! Love that. You can play several games without experiencing one ad, and when they do appear it’s not in the middle of a game. Plenty of options to earn coins through ads though, so I’d gladly choose to see an advertisement for some extra currency.
No complaints! Anyone who wants an easy game to fiddle with should download this.

loyal customer lost 👎

i’ve never been much of a solitaire gal, but my life was changed the day i downloaded solitaire dragons. i got so good, and played this game for multiple hours of the day. i was so proud of all the dragons i was earning. i loved the game so much i even spent money on the piggy bank so i would have enough money to buy all the new dragon eggs i was earning. my favorite were the puzzles, i would work so hard so i could earn the mystery eggs. well on the 23rd of december i was with my friends and i was telling them all about the fun i was having with my new favorite game(solitaire dragons). i went to bed on level 115 and eagerly awaited the next morning when i could earn some more eggs. the following morning when i woke up and my data had erased and i was back to level 99, loosing all my favorite dragons, progression on my island, and progress on my puzzle. i brushed it off and kept my head up high, i continued to dedicate myself to my dragons and make up for the lost progress. I earned my favorite dragon to date from finishing my puzzle, and had made it back up to level 115. then tragedy struck on january 1st 10:00 pm when once again my progress was erased, and i was back to level 99. now i unfortunately have to bid farewell to my dragons and move on from this chapter in my life

Frustrated

I LOVE this game. Playing solitaire, collecting dragons, it’s a great way to pass the time.
My frustration is not with the ads but with the way the rewards work. I am level 897, so I’ve played a while, they stopped giving eggs for level advancement back around level 350. That’s fine, what do I get for leveling up now? 10 coins. Guess how much a dragon egg costs? Minimum of 300 coins, and it goes up each time I purchase it. Sure, I can watch ads to get a multiplier up to 5x the 10 coins earned for finishing a level but when you’re almost level 900, it takes a lot of coins to buy new dragons. It’s losing its appeal. There’s a special event going on right now, can purchase 2 different dragons: they’ll cost either 1300 or 1600 coins plus the special event coins. At the same time there’s a special dragon egg store, to earn max special store coins I have to spend 1100 coins today. It’s crap. They have added a lucky wheel that can be spun 8x a day, you can earn between 5 and 80 coins, pretty sure it’s rigged because in the weeks I’ve been able to spin I’ve gotten more than 20 coins less than a dozen times. Lower the cost of the dragons or raise the amount of coins earned. Give me coins for leveling up.

Way too many ads and other issues

While I enjoy the concept of the game, there are too many issues for me to have a good time playing it. For one, the ads are excessive. I understand having the ones for extra rewards or for hints (things that are optional) but one after every single round, or when you reset a round, is too much.

Another thing is the “no moves left” thing. Several times, I found with some tweaking that I was able to beat the round without having to pay the ad toll. Having the magic wand pop up come up automatically was also annoying, as I feel sometimes it was unwarranted, and it could be relegated to a button that the player could press if they wanted to.

Finally, the rewards. The dragons cost at minimum 250 coins, and you only get 10 coins per round unless you watch an ad. I feel that this is far too little if you’re going to make the dragons so pricey. Also the monthly challenges rewards aren’t the best for if you beat the whole month. I think that 25 coins if you do 10 days, 50 if you do 20 days, and 100 coins for the whole month would be much more motivational.

Fun but needs improvement

I hate giving somewhat bad reviews however, as fun as this game is and as much as I like collecting new dragons I find that the developers lack in the area of creating new content. It’s been well over 4 maybe 5 months at this point and there have been updates with only a couple of event habitats. I have contacted support and they are not helpful in regards to purchases made or providing further information other than to say “thanks for reaching out, we are currently in the process of creating new content”. I have more than 20 dragon eggs just waiting for a new habitat. Also the events and the amount energy or whatever you want to call it to get the event dragon needs work. Unless you nonstop play this game it’s impossible to collect any of them. Increase the number of dragons for each habitat if it takes so long to create a new one. The puzzles are fun but it takes forever to collect all the pieces because you keep getting the same pieces over and over again. It’s 2023 it should not take so long to create new content.

Great Game, Latest Event is Frustrating

I love this game, I really do. Yah the ads get annoying and sometimes it crashes. However, I totally put up with it because the game is fun. Playing regular solitaire while collecting dragons. Totally a win win. However, this latest event is driving me crazy. First off, SolitaireDragons wouldn’t load at all Monday morning. That gets fixed and I’m excited to see a new event. I immediately start playing and get to level 5ish. I don’t remember exactly which level, but it was before level 10, but after level 4. Well I take a break and log back in and my data was lost, so now I got to restart. Frustrating, but no big deal. However, now I play several hands without getting any energy at all, making leveling up extremely hard, and makes level 45 seem impossible. But other than this latest event, I’m recommend this game to everyone, I just wanted to share my frustration at this latest event.

Fun game, but has some real problems

The designs are very nice and the events very fun, but in order to buy things or earn rewards in events you have to play a certain amount of games, and the rewards you get just aren’t enough to keep up. Now, you don’t have to buy every dragon egg or do every event, but they’re genuinely nice and inviting and so the balance is all wrong, even if you watch ads to multiply your coins. On the topic of ads, in some events there are rewards you can get for watching ads but half of the time the game can’t find an ad to play, despite playing them all the time otherwise. The ads are also extremely repetitive. You can still get a lot of really cool things, even with all those problems, but it requires a certain amount of dedication. (Oh and p.s. those images with the dragons in need and everything are pure clickbait, that’s not in the game at all)

Cute game but feel like you gotta work too hard

You have to play a ton of rounds just to win an egg through the puzzle game. Over 70 pieces required to get an egg. But often when you win the puzzle pieces they turn them into 1 coin? Why would anyone want to exchange a puzzle piece for only 1 coin? Which means you only get credit for about 1/2 the puzzle pieces you win. I have not been able to figure out how they determine that you’ll actually get your puzzle pieces. Also, a game only wins you 10 coins unless you multiply them with lengthy ads. I noticed while watching tv, that the tv ads were shorter. A game ad should not be a minute long. Especially when they come up after every hand and every time you are trying to win coins. Feels like you don’t win much at all. Then the gems game which actually makes you feel like you’re winning something, comes and goes rather than being a fixture on the game. Very frustrating. The best part is the super cute dragons.

I can’t stand it anymore! Read Please

The game is okay. But every single game at the end it sends you to an ad. Then to get a multiplier you have to watch an ad. If you need a wand you guessed it watch an ad. If you want to get coins watch an ad. I understand you need to make money but I haven’t even gotten 20 dragons, little to no coins and I’m already level 60+. I was pushed over the edge after the lagging because of the back to back ads and then the ROYAL MATCH game 30 seconds advertisement not once, twice, but THREE TIMES IN A ROW BECAUSE OF A GLITCH. I’ve had it. (This is not the first time either.)

I like to play solitaire to calm down but you can’t even play the game without something going wrong. The dragons aren’t the cutest like they advertise. I only downloaded the game after being bogged down with ads and now to see that this one has repetitive ads of the same game over and over has me so irritated that I will never play again. No point in downloading unless you want something so slow in progression and an ad or 2 after every game. No joke every single game. I DO NOT RECOMMEND!

Limitless play

I love this game. There are no restrictions to the actually gameplay, which is a breath of fresh air. Biggest downsides for me are that leveling up means very little aside from unlocking new eggs. I would like to see a scale of coin rewards that improve the more you play. Not so much to break the egg system, but it’d be cool to be able to afford hatching multiples of my favourites or maybe adding a dragon home option that you can gradually build and customize.

The second downside is that the ads have become a little too frequent and half of them forceplay sound even when my phone is silenced. It breaks the soft atmosphere of the game. I do appreciate how easy it is to skip them tho.

I would gladly pay to remove ads permanently and would be more willing to watch reward ads if I’m not getting a popup after every hand. I love this game.

Game needs serious overhaul

This game has potential, but it’s overshadowed by ads that are CONSTANTLY running. A game can be finished in two minutes, but after each win, the player is forced to watch an ad. It results in ads taking up most of the time spent playing.
Another issue is that the game freezes up often, either leading to a crash with a loss of game rewards, or time spent trying to wait it out. Its buggy this way- almost every time I’ve played there’s been an issue, especially with games played consecutively or longer game play.
I will briefly touch on rewards- they are very small considering all the waiting the player does to get them after winning a hand. It’s really not worth the pittance of coin to watch the same ad or 2-3 ads over and over. Especially when those ads crow at you that their game has NO ADS! 🤦🏼‍♀️
I would purchase an ad-free version. Otherwise, it looks like I’ll be playing another game. What was supposed to be relaxing is really a source of frustration.

Can’t play on multiple devices

I enjoy the game. Who doesn’t love solitaire? Throw in some dragons and it brings it to a whole new level. Not a huge fan of how many ads there are and there isn’t an option to purchase an ad free version, but my biggest complaint is that I originally downloaded this game on my phone and it’s battery isn’t so good. To be frank I need a new phone but thAt is besides the point, I downloaded the same game on my iPad thinking I would pick up where I left off…nope! There is no way (that I could find) to restore purchases or to log into an existing account. This is a huge downside for me. I like to be able to play my games across all my devices, it’s one of the reasons all of my devices are Apple. Not to mention you have packages and stuff available for purchasing but no way to restore purchases. I looked under settings…nothing and if it’s not there where else would it be? For those reasons I give it two stars.

Fun play, not overran by ads, does have a looot of lag.

I’ve been playing this game for almost 3 months. I absolutely love it. From the super cute dragons and their powers, to the different homes for the dragons. It’s a great way to pass time. It’s not overrun by ads to where your game play is terribly impacted. I wish it was faster to earn coins bc some of the dragons are quite expensive for the amount of coins you earn, but that doesn’t deter me from playing. The only actual complaint I have is that the game lags and freezes A LOT. I’ve lost a lot of my rewards because I have to restart my game because of it freezing. Other than that one issue, the game is an absolute must play!

Cute game

I enjoy the game. The dragons are adorable, and most deals are winnable. I wish we could do something with the dragons though. Maybe decorate, or interact. But my biggest complaint is the ads! There are sooooo many! And so random at times! There is very little you can do without an ad playing! It’s excessive. I don’t mind ads that give you something or multiply a reward or something like that. But to just have an ad play after doing pretty much anything? I spend more time watching ads than playing! And some are quite long! The game lags so badly after playing for a few minutes. I have to constantly shut it down entirely and re open to just get it working smoothly. And with the amount of time I’m stuck watching ads that’s really tough.

Amusing but could be much better.

I’ll start with the positives, the game is interesting and can be a fun time waster.

Now for the cons:

Ads. Ads to the point where you can spend more time watching ads than playing the game. And if I’m being honest, ads to the point where the payout per hand should be much higher and the in-game purchase options should be much fewer.

Few of the ads can be skipped early or easily.

Low payout per level for the coins needed to buy dragon eggs. The eggs get more expensive with each level and the payout for beating a hand remains the same. Unless you want to watch more ads or make an in-game purchase it takes entirely too long to purchase eggs.

Frequent crashes and freezes.

Heats up handsets and uses battery far beyond what seems reasonable for a card game. I can stream movies without my handset heating up to this degree and with less battery usage.

Game is unplayable with music playing in the background.

The ads run the gamut from generic all-age games like Candy Crush to games that are rated 18+, which is odd for a game rated for children.

Right now it’s fun to play a hand or two to kill time while waiting in line or something, beyond that the heat, power usage and ads start becoming an issue.

Average solitaire game

This game is a nice time waster game if you are waiting for your builders to get done on another game or in the drs office. The games don’t take very long and they are fairly simple I think I’ve had to do maybe 2-3 levels twice. My biggest complaint and it’s with almost every game lately is the ads. Why do I need to click 4-6 times on and ad to get it to go away. Do I mind watching an 5-8 second ad? No I don’t mind but I don’t want to have to click on it a ton of times to get it to go away. I get it you want me to download another game but now I make it a point to never download these games. Cough cough Royal Match!! The spin thingy you have where I spin to get coins. I don’t do it anymore because I refuse to watch an ad for 5 coins not worth my time.

Like the game a lot, but…

Too many ads and way too much crashing.

I have been playing the game for a couple of months now and I love the concept but to progress ANY in the game you must sit through the ads and it seems the more ads you watch, the buggier the game gets. I can get through 3-4 rounds before the game hangs up, forcing me to restart. Then I have to wait several hours in between playing or the hanging/crashing just continues. I don’t have this problem with any other game I play.

You must have tons of free time for ads to make progression. Immediately after every hand a forced ad pops up. You are awarded a very small (10) amount of coins per hand and it takes thousands of coins per dragon once you begin getting deeper into the game. It has turned into a great effort to play Dragon Solitaire daily.

Review update

I finally received an email telling me how I could purchase the ad-free version. Click on the coin at the top, a new screen will open where you can buy coins as well as the ad-free version. I still think the version with ads has way too many. I managed to complete a second jigsaw puzzle so got a second special dragon. The special events are ridiculous. The number of tokens required as well as the extremely short length of time would mean that you had to play 24/7 to have a chance to earn enough tokens. I have never made it to the bottom level. The developers are unrealistic in their expectations with too few rewards. I have a life and don’t sit and play Solitaire Dragons the entire time I am awake.

Fun, but not engaging

It kinda gets a bit repetitive if you’re spending hours grinding for the coins needed to get a new egg. It would be nicer if levels counted towards how much gold you got from each win. The higher the level, the more gold. It makes sense since the cost of eggs goes up. One egg really isn’t worth two hours of playing. Especially since the dragons are mostly cosmetic. At this point it’s kinda becoming Inflation Simulator. Oh and the events can also get kinda overwhelming for some players as they feel the goal is completely unreasonable and beyond reach. And it’s a long and tiring road, even for me.

This Could Be a Great Game…. Butttt

I like the game, I like the dragons and how the cake is plaid.

But each hand only gives you 10 coins, the dragon eggs cost hundreds of coins. It’s impossible because the ratio is so off.

There are the baskets, but they give an average of 60-70 coins every NINE games.

And the puzzle thing is super frustrating. I tapped on the puzzle icon. It said I needed 17 more pieces to get a dragon. I plaid 4 more hands. I watched all the pieces go into the basket, watched them go up to the puzzle icon at the end of the hand, there were at least 10 total, but 4 hands later I still needed 16 pieces. Something is not right with that at all.

I can’t figure out what the little red number is on the puzzle icon. It definitely does not indicate how many pieces I collected because when it said 13 I only got one piece.

Plus it’s super annoying to finally get 32 puzzle pieces just to realize you don’t get a dragon, you only get another egg that you can buy for hundreds of coins…. Which are impossible to collect in any reasonable amount of time with 10 coins per hand.

If you made this coin to dragon egg ratio a lot more fair and sorted out the puzzle issues I would love to play this game a lot more

Very Disappointed

First, I have been playing this game for a while now and was really enjoying it. No time restrictions, no limited lives, cute dragons - I was very happy until tonight when I was “assaulted” by an ad that couldn’t be closed and repeatedly opened my browser to take me to a site trying to get me to meet girls in my area. I am not a prude but I was highly offended by this ad, especially since there are no age restrictions on the game. I’m not impressed with a company that doesn’t bother to think of ALL of their users and disregards any possible offense that add like this put out for public solicitation. I realize ads are necessary to game companies, and I usually don’t mind them, but this one was too much. The game has now left my device and I won’t be sharing it with friends any longer. It’s really too bad, because it was a good game.

Sick of it not loading and having to reinstall it.

Honestly a really catchy game but SolitaireDragons keeps crashing on me and when you open it, nothing loads and it’s like it’s frozen. Which it’s just a game but when you get so far along it gets old. The ads have gotten worse. Now they started playing when you finish a round where you can’t opt out of most of them and then if you want to increase you coins you won that is understandable but how many times do you have to hit the “x” out of an ad?!
I’ll give this game 1 more chance before I just go back to the only cards version and no collections of anything because this is annoying.

I really don’t need to you to respond to this because it will be the exact same response that you have given to me the first time it crashed and then to all the other people.
Just wish I wouldn’t lose my progress.

Developers read this

FINALLY, after all this time, the pop up came…” No more ads” the option most games have that yours lacks. But, there it was a couple days ago. I spent 5 bucks to get rid of the ads! Super happy to get playing and be ad free and nope…. they are still there. The only thing that has changed is I can spin the lucky wheel without the ad after. There are still ads after I finish a round and most of all, I still have to watch an ad for an extra card in game when I run out of moves. At least give me the option to pay with my own coins, rather than forcing me to watch another minute long ad. I get watching an ad for coins or anything that’s my choice. For 5 bucks though, the least y’all could have done was get rid of all ads that were not our choice to deal with. The ads are EXCESSIVE AND LONG! This is a joke right?! I feel ripped off and y’all should refund my money without my having to reach out to Apple. I really loved the game itself, but y’all got jokes!
