In the tutorial you are supposed to swipe across the "noom" to subtract and it doesn't recognize the finger swiping across -- neither mine nor my child's. So disappointed I wasted $8 and can't even get it to work.
I downloaded DragonBoxNumbers thinking it’d be great for my toddler. But there’s no sound! So how is anyone supposed to know what to do within DragonBoxNumbers ?? Total waste of $$; I’m seriously disappointed.
I want my money back. Waste of my time.
I used to love the game, but now it is terrible.
My 4yr is able to access the parent portal. He has been changing the language which makes it almost impossible to change back. Then he somehow resets DragonBoxNumbers , deleting all user profiles. Not a single link in the parent portal works except to rate DragonBoxNumbers .
Seems cool but there isn’t any sound...
Great app but no sound? We have tried every which way to turn the sound on with no luck.?.
This game is a ginormous hit its awsome but it’s not perfect I think you shall add numbers bigger than 100 and make the max 1000 instead of 100 and 2nd reason is that all of the numbers should have their own looks. That would make me do 5 stars but for now it’s 4.

As a mom and a math teacher I endorse this game fully! My kids love it and beg to play it. We know fluency is an important part of math success, and that fluency is better built by encountering math facts in a variety of settings vs something like flash cards. DragonBoxNumbers is a fun way for students to compose and decompose numbers! I especially love how it constructs numbers larger than ten.
Has your toddler already mastered PinkFong's library? DragonBoxNumbers adds to the rote counting with the understanding of linear value. It represents numbers with speech, size, and count. Very impressive!

This is an unconventional way for kids to gain good number sense. They get a feeling for how bigger quantities are composed of smaller quantities. Plus it's very visual, intuitive, and fun.
This game had a lot of thought put into it. It has an experimentation area and three types of games. Each game is different but the number principles and number “physics” are consistent between all games. This game was a hit with the preschoolers and kindergarteners in my class and engaged their attention longer than just about any app I have seen them work with. It is more expensive than most apps, yes, but it is well worth the money. I cannot think of a better way to spend $8 on a math lesson. DragonBoxNumbers has many levels of play and many puzzles for each level. On their puzzle game I counted 30 categories with 9 puzzles each for a total of 270 puzzles. The way the designers have set this game up to teach number concept is very effective. The way the numbers/quantities are built and added upon and how they can also be sliced into smaller numbers/quantities, is pure genius! DragonBoxNumbers is an excellent tool to learn number concept-one of the best out there. I can say enough about how well DragonBoxNumbers can teach and reinforce number concept and numerals. DragonBoxNumbers is a must have for teaching experiential math concepts.
The concept is simple- combine blocks around to form numbers. The numbers form a picture and kids are rewarded with coins and happy music. As they advance, they are better able to manipulate numbers and their arithmetic skills improve.
We originally purchased this for my five-year-old to better improve her number sense. Her arithmetic and number skills have improved dramatically. Surprisingly, my three and nine-year-old children also love this game. My nine-year-old has completed the dragon box geometry and algebra games, but still very much enjoys the numbers/ Nooms game. I three-year-old can play at the beginner levels, but his addition I'm counting skills have improved because of this game. And win-win for everyone! I highly recommend this game in addition to the rest of the dragon box family.
My three kids, ages 12, 7, and 2 all enjoy DragonBoxNumbers. My eldest plays with it just because it's fun, my middle is still learning some aspects of the content, and of course my youngest is just gaining exposure. The story "book" sent by email after we registered was brilliant! My youngest really got excited to play the game after we read the story, and having names for the numbers was really handy. We have wished that there were more stories about them.
I've actually just finished playing the whole thing also. I found it to be a lot of fun, much better than hanging out on my usual social media.
Update: the new section of the game is fun too! It's a great addition to the product.
