Great idea, but unreliable so far

2022-05-21

Love the idea, and it’s fantastic… sometimes…when it works. More often than not, I just sit there holding my phone at every conceivable angle while it never scans the card. Another issue is getting obviously wrong cards from the scan. I tried scanning a Fernando Tatis Jr SSP and the first comp shown was a basketball card, the next was football and none of the baseball shown were Tatis.

One suggestion I have is to have something to tap when you’re ready to scan. Then CenterStage could say scan failed. As opposed to just having to hold your phone over the card hoping it will work.

Really like the idea though and will continue using it in the hopes it improves over time.

Performance Improvements

2022-06-22

• Improve card recognition technology, with a goal to decrease failed scans (wrong card, no card, etc) to less than 5%
• Add the ability to enter a BGS, PSA, SGC, CGA grade regardless of available market data. No price would show in a user’s collection. Boost user numbers organically.
• Unique card data inputted by individual owners that shows a card’s asking price, referenced against available market data, notes about the card, add the ability to mark the card available for trade - it would create unique card collector consumer to consumer platform, an industry first.
• App user pricing submissions (power of the people theory). A user can input available market data via a submission form in the apps settings, user uploads a screenshot of the sold listing page on a given platform.

Great App, Two Issues and a Question

2022-07-23

Love CenterStage and how quickly it's made valuating my collection. However for whatever reason, if the card doesn't have price info available, I'm not able to add it to my collection. I go to tap the "done" button but that doesn't do anything. I have several cards that were identified but have no price data that I am unable to add. Also, why must we assign a "grade?" Cobsidering there are grading services available, it just seems unnecessary as CenterStage seems to be geared more to raw card collection. Other than these issues, I love CenterStage and have been waiting for something like this!

Incredible App!

2022-08-24

CenterStage is great! My buddy recommended it to me and I’m happy I listened. Nice way to track your collection and the value of your raw cards. Other apps will only calculate the value if it is graded. My only complaint revolves around the scan. It’s so simple and user friendly I love it, but it has a tough time designating colors. For instance I have a few Pink Parallels from Panini Illusions and it keeps thinking it’s a Ruby/Red color. Tried multiple times but couldn’t get it. Other than that tho it’s a great app and recommend people to download it!

Needs a search option

2022-09-25

it’s cool and I love the concept. It just needs to change how to add cards to CenterStage . You can only scan the card and it definitely takes a few times to get the card scanned in. If there was a way to type in a search for the cards it would make it way better

Concept is great

2022-10-26

I love the concept. The scanner works most of the time. The only thing I was hoping for was more often price updates because I know that there are cards the same as mine that have sold recently and the price didn’t update in CenterStage . Outside of that and maybe making the cards easier to organize, it is a great resource.

More updates!

2022-11-27

I really like CenterStage and think it can be something big on the near future and after reading other reviews being able to place certain cards in folder of some sort would be awesome or searching the card in your collection would be helpful. I wish for nothing but success for CenterStage!!

Very cool app with great purpose!

2022-12-28

Being able to snap a pic of a raw card to see if it is worth something is such a great tool to have! Finally have somewhere to put all my inventory. Only problem is that my collection won’t load after I have filled it with so many cards. Please add tools to organize and filter the collection or even a search tool would be huge!
Thanks guys!

Great start - still needs work

2023-01-29

This is an excellent app that has a ton of potential. The lightning fast ID of cards is impressive, even if it sometimes whiffs completely (maybe 10% of the time).

I definitely recommend CenterStage, but I’ll also list some issues that will push it over the top if they can work them out or add new features.

- Cards that don’t have eBay sales to pull from can’t be added to your collection. That’s disappointing. It would be great if you could still add them, just with a designation that they’re not being valued yet. When a sale matches the card, update the value.

- No search option for cards that don’t scan well. I’ve got a small stack of cards that aren’t in my “collection” yet because CenterStage isn’t recognizing them and I can’t search for them. These are Base 2019 Topps Update Series cards, so they aren’t rare. If I could search a checklist and add them, that would be amazing.

- Integration with some of the other websites you can use to track your cards would be incredibly helpful. I’ve got a big collection on TCDB and it would be awesome if I could import that collection into this one.

Factual and Fun!

2023-03-02

I loved using CenterStage for the first time today. I took photos of 400 cards in my collection with good accuracy. A few times I had to retake the photos to find the correct card. CenterStage is good for record keeping and insurance purposes. A few updates would be great: - A way to export data to spreadsheet - Next please develop a way to share your collection with other users!!!

Simple design and easy to use

2023-03-31

Great app overall! I do a lot of trading, so being able to quickly find card values makes the process much quicker. I love that I can track my personal collection value in here as well. The AI can be touchy, but it usually gets the card right after a few tries. I thought I would have a really tough time getting it to recognize a Mosaic Genesis I have, but it got it on the third try. Color prizms can be more difficult to recognize, but once you have the lighting right, it works well. The only thing I would like to see is the ability to organize your collection into sub categories. Right now everything is grouped together in one big list. I’d love to be able to organize by sport, and then have an overall collection value. Great job designing….and it’s free, so I really can’t complain for value it brings in quickly finding card values!

Improvement

2023-05-02

Best app I’ve found for cataloging cards and tracking their value however one major upgrade I think CenterStage could make is adding a search bar so you could sometimes find the card you’re trying to scan easier but also so you can look up cards already in your collection, hope this helps!

Wow, amazing tech for a new app.

2023-06-02

The Sportscards Nonsense guys said they were impressed, I am too. The utility they didn’t mention is how fast you can upload cards into your collection. This is an amazing first version, I’m looking forward to the enhancements that will allow you to search and sort your collection by sport, name, value or recent value changes.

Great app

2023-07-04

I love CenterStage, it’s completely free and I get to keep all my cards in one spot while seeing their sold prices. On the other hand though it would be extremely nice if you could search for certain cards in your collection or at least be able to sort them using a filter like how much they cost in order, or the cards in alphabetical order. All in all great app and keep up the great work!

Great app

2023-08-04

CenterStage is very useful for card owners and I love how CenterStage works! It makes viewing your collection value so much easier and much more accurate! There are a few improvements that I would make to CenterStage: 1. Add a search bar so the collector can see if a card is in their collection. 2. Add multiple collection options so the user could separate certain sports into different collections. CenterStage is very useful and makes my card collecting experience more enjoyable and CenterStage has a bright future!

Amazing Sports Card APP!!!!

2023-09-05

CenterStage is sooo good and super fast for scanning cards you want to buy or trade at a show or if you want to look up prices of your cards at home and also store them in CenterStage giving you a total value of your collection with real time price changes. Also a good way to show people what cards you have for sale or trade without them searching through your cards physically. I’m looking forward to the new updates coming which include new tabs and search options for your collection.

Great app!

2023-10-07

I was freaking out when I realized I scanned hundreds of cards and they didn’t upload to my collection when I hit 499 cards!! But a day or so later I looked and they had all made it into my collection after all which was a relief. Today same thing, realized half the time I was adding cards to my collection they weren’t showing up after a certain amount scanned, so I’m hoping to see them in the future showing up to my collection, other than that great app, concept and idea; hoping for search collection updates in the future ;)

Great resource!

2023-11-07

To the team,
Thank you for putting together such an amazing resource for card collectors. I love the ability to just scan a card and add it to my inventory plus seeing recent ebay comps is incredible.
The only issue I came across was sometimes CenterStage didn’t recognize my card and tried to throw something similar in its place. I realize that it is impossible to have every card in your system but maybe have an option to add to inventory and then if it pops on ebay have a notification come across. Just an idea.
Again thanks for creating such an amazing resource.

Shocked at 7:00am!! All data gone!!

2023-12-09

I woke up this morning to add more into my collection which is a pile 6’x2’x8’ and $15,???.?? In scanned card data is gone. This was an amazing app, but with this event I’d be ware I just lost a weeks worth of work at 7-8 hours a day of scanning. So shocked and disappointed. How does this happen? And no support …😱..😭😭🤯😡🤯

Thankfully the issue was definitely resolved I almost freaked out over loosing over a $20K collection log. Thanks for the update. Now the only thing you need is a way to organize the collections a way to search it by name or set or year would be helpful instead of having to scroll through 3000 cards to find 1. Thanks for the help.

Finally! A card app worth purchasing!

2024-01-09

Fantastic minimal design, coupled with the ease of UI and the accuracy is really pretty great.

I would add some info where they are pulling the prices from for clarity. Had the same issues as others where my entire collection for some reason went back to 0. 🤦🏻

Once those bugs are fixed, I can honestly say I’ve used all of the “hobby apps” and will use this one only moving forward if the glitches are fixed. Great job and the hobby thanks you!

Great start!

2024-12-16

Just downloaded CenterStage and it’s fantastic so far. I just submitted feedback. There is an app for Pokémon called TCGPlayer that keeps a list of your cards and the values, it’s super helpful and id love to see that in CenterStage. Also the ability to manually input a card, grader, grade, etc would be phenomenal. As CenterStage grows I’m sure more and more cards and variations will pop up but fantastic start!

What a great tool!!

2024-12-16

So easy to scan all my trading cards and get the relevant price info! Great app for any card collector!

Must have for yard sales and flea markets

2024-12-16

This is a great app to help identify cards quickly.

Great app. Easy to use.

2024-12-16

Intuitive. Easy to use and accurate.

Needs a little upgrade

2024-12-16

Love CenterStage because I gives u a ball park of where to start pricing if you are selling. Jus needs maker to update database for cards. I got a lot of old cards that won’t scan. Cards are in great shape, jus not popping up. But overall I love it. Thx

Laggy

2024-12-16

I started off fine and when I got to like 450 cards it lagged and won’t show my portfolio of cards pls help!!!

The app I’ve been waiting for

2024-12-16

Love this to scan my entire collection. Can’t wait to see them add the portfolio features!

Almost there

2024-12-16

If you can add a collection feature that would catalog my collection, it would change the hobby.

Great start

2024-12-16

Great start to CenterStage , messed around on it for a while. Definitely could use come upgrades but for just recently coming out, it is fantastic. Very excited to see to see this improve over time

I love the app however there is some cards that it either will not scan or when it does scan it doesn’t give a value for. Also I would like to be able to sort cards by type and year (ex Donruss 86, Topps 86, Donruss 87, Topps 87 as well baseball, football etc.) I am sure it has a little bit to go and improving everyday but just thought I would let you know what I would like to see happen
