I mainly use it for little things but it is nice. Just wish that more then one second display didn’t make you get the best subscription option but I understand they need to make money somehow. Anyway other than that little thing it’s a great app and I love it so far. 😀👍

To start, the old way of screen extension using the link to my asus app was was simpler, easier, and simply better overall. GlideX ruins it and makes the experience terrible. You are placing GOOGLE ads into GlideX to make users pay for this stupid piece of trash that should be free in the first place. Unless you fix this pile of hot garbage, I’m considering in returning my PC to stay away from this junk. I will consider other brands like HP, ACER, DELL, etc. #asusisgreedy

Stumbled upon GlideX while studying for university finals.

I cannot get it to connect via the school WiFi but USB works.

I can drag screens over to my iPhone XR and use it as a second display - phone case has kickstand.

Touchscreen works with display as well so I can scroll through notes. Really cool.

Some suggestions:
- Allow user to choose which extended screen is left or right
- Exit button could fade so as not to intervene with tasks close to top-right corner

Cool app nonetheless keep it up.

I like the way works when I extend my working screen. It just awesome

Ran through the full setup. ITunes installed just fine. It sees my phone by either WiFi or USB just fine. I tell it to see the “ad” and after the 5s counter I X it out. I hit Start Broadcast and on the PC I get a quick flash of the screen and then it goes away. The phone then says the PC stopped responding.

I have used the MyAsus app screen extender for years and it saddens me that this separate app is no other than a corpo cash grab. Now I, as a loyal Asus user, have to pay to essentially use GlideX. As a Graphic Designer in college, it saved my life MANY times, but having ads in your interface will RUIN your workflow

Works flawlessly with my Asus Rog. Really useful to extend your computer monitor. It works great with Touch OSC too.

I use it with my new laptop and its just so good.

It requires notification access to even work. I don’t think notifications are necessary Abe I’m connecting to my laptop, which needs yet another app installed to use this.

Even when mirroring wired over usb you have to watch ads and can’t stream at 1080p. Rotate your phone, and the mirroring doesn’t rotate.

This was originally included in Armoury Crate now separate as a subscription service to get the thing to be of any use. Suggestion: DON’T WASTE YOUR TIME DOWNLOADING

Needs a mouse speed setting for each individual device connected. Default for windows/mouse driver settings and an override when changing from default speed. My PC is connected to the ROG Ally and I’m using the ROG Pugio mouse connected to my desktop PC. I have it set to the highest dpi and the speed in windows settings is set to 2 on my desktop. When I move the cursor to the ROG Ally, it’s way too fast so I have to set the mouse speed to 1 in windows settings on the Ally, and it’s still a bit too fast. When I close this app, the Ally’s mouse speed with the joystick is way too slow. So I have to go back to windows mouse speed and change it back to 5 or 6.

Not really a review kind of person but I was happy to be offered this mirror app offered by my laptop brand! I have been searching high and low for a good working one so I can make my iPad my 3rd monitor as well as be able to draw with my apple pencil using windows software, I was happy to be gifted pro threw the coupon available with MyAsus. Very little lag and best streaming quality I have seen Windows to IOS. GlideX has done nothing but exceed my expectations and even as someone who’s not the most tech savvy, everything was extremely user friendly! Even without the coupon I would have purchased the Pro subscription because of the extremely affordable price of $6 max for the most expensive bundle, I highly recommend this to anyone with an ASUS device pairing with IOS. Thanks so much for offering this with my laptop, truly appreciated!

GlideX is easy to use and works as it was designed to on my iPad Pro 11”. The biggest problem is the price. For excel the mid tier just doesn’t quite fit the bill. As the grids can’t be seen and everything is a bit blurry. It is a free subscription from when I bought my laptop so I thought I would try it out. I would not be willing to pay $6 a month to get the top tier quality that they claim.

I’ve been using my iPad with GlideX as a second monitor as a college student. Extremely helpful to get work done and be able to quickly switch between tabs. I’m currently subscribed to the $3/month and for the price it’s worth it. A few minor hiccups here and there, graphical glitches, but they’re rare so no complaints from me.

Disconnects sometimes and sometimes has trouble connecting to different computers

Extending screens lag free over usb c would be so much better than over wifi. This seemed at first to be the perfect solution for me, but when using my my ROG Ally to try and play a steam game it could not be recognized as a controller even when in dedicated controller mode.

This could be exactly what I’ve been wanting. Could be great. Please continue to work on it.

Great app. Ability to text from computer helps keep me focused. Ease of reading and typing text a game changer for me! Order with confidence.

This is a very nice app but one minor bug. Every time i try to connect to my iPad on my PC, it never picked up the iPad unless i restart the PC.

The free version goes up to 720p and looks decent. But I paid north of 1k for my laptop... and really, 1080p over USB should be ad-free for no extra cost, when I've already given Asus a decent chunk of money. Debating whether to upgrade.

ESPECIALLY if we’re dropping 3K plus’s on an Asus laptop. I such a disappointment to see this feature turn into a subscription service when it was one of the mains reason why I bought an Asus 2 years ago.

I’ve now tried pretty much every screen sharing option for my ROG Ally, and it’s a testament to quality that GlideX is better than any of the others I’ve tried (Duet, Luna pad etc). My only disappointment is that it’s also the only of those that doesn’t recognize the click of my iPad keyboard as a click on the ROG ally. Once that’s fixed, I’d give GlideX 5 stars.

Just received a ROG Ally and downloaded this companion app. It took only a tiny bit of messing around in both apps to get them connected. I streamed a video on VLC on the phone while doing other things on the ROG. Worked really well. It’s free now, so what can you lose for trying it?

This review is for the file transfer portion only, but when using with iPhone it requires you give GlideX FULL access to your media library before you can send anything. Why not just let me pick one file to send there’s no reason GlideX needs access to 5000+ photos.

Very annoying and without any warning of app change. I will wait to review GlideX as it was frustrating to install. I had spent two years working with tech support to get the previous app working which was finally working great. Did not need this change.

I tried a few of these softwares on my Ipad/ProArt and they all were very laggy. This one was the easiest to set up and the least lag.

Using ipad as second screen for windows pc is pretty good and simple to do

This intuitive little platform has bridged the gap between my device without the need of cords or being close to my laptop at all. Works amazing for being all around College Campus and needing to grab a file from my computer in the dorm or at home 4.8/5.0 defeats having a slough of other transfer apps ect. Or multiple cloud accounts!

Its perfect

Good to use for music making software. A little bit of latency can be annoying at times but it’s not completely unbearable and actually pretty amazing!

I got a notification on my ROG g14 that this software was available for screen extension. I tried it out but I couldn’t try the Ultra even after watching ads. So I can’t say how good it is. I’d try it for free but there is no Ultra trial, and it costs a lot. I thought it would be free, as a selling point for ASUS laptops just like sidecar is a selling point for apple. Otherwise there are things like Duet that cost but at least there isn’t subscription. The this app free version is too grainy to really be useable-not really good enough to be a customer hook because even basic users will find that to be too low res. Medium tier is better but still to grainy for a paid version.

A free version should be the minimum viable product and extra features are paid - otherwise theres no point having a free version at all. Multiple devices can be on paid. Right now it is below minimum standard for a single device. I give it a generous 4 stars because it has potential and seems to work smoothly for the 5 minute test window and I expect that Ultra is better, but I can’t be sure. I wish I could try Ultra to actually test the latency. Docked one star because it should seriously be free for a single device on Ultra! Like we need one useable option. If you make it free then you will make people buy ASUS laptops! I would buy ASUS for my next laptop if you make it FrEE!

GlideX works perfectly and finally my idle ipad. Is now a companion to my laptop that is adding a lot of productivity. The connection is stable and features are rich.

This is simply the best connection and capability. Even using wallpaper engine no lag and crisp resolution highly recommended for any device including Apple

It took a little patience , but I was eventually able to pair my iPhone with my zepherus g15 and transfer files/photos as expected. I had difficulty pairing at first but was eventually able to get everything working after syncing both devices while setting up the shared cam. It’s nice to be able to “air drop” to my laptop and use my phone as a web cam since my model does not have one.

I Havnt been using it often, but when I do I’m constantly surprised by some of the features, very useful and will have to dive deeper to find out what updates its could use to make it better

Like title says. Works great between my iPhone 15 Pro and my older iPhone 11, and my Windows PC. Extremely useful and fast connection for file transfers over to my PC..

I think the Bluetooth features of the device lend itself well to GlideX ’s ability to transfer immediately files that need to be shared among users. I am using it to make a backup of my backup.

Honestly, I thought GlideX was useless when I first saw it, but I had been in search of a second monitor to use for a few devices, when I came across an article that suggested using the iPad as one, and since I already had GlideX…
It works pretty well! I can mirror games from my Ally on this, and they run without any noticeable lag or stuttering. Plus, with the iPad being a touchscreen, it has more function than a regular portable monitor.
I haven’t used many of the other features, but this alone has made it worthwhile for me.
