App doesn’t work
2022-05-21
by Goldielockx25
I have no idea if the content would be worth the subscription… because I can’t get Sensa to function. I was really interested in an app like this and the price was reasonable if it delivered on its claims.
But I can’t tell you if it does or not. After buying the subscription and downloading Sensa , I get a white screen after I enter my name. I’ve redownloaded twice… logged out and back in… nada.
I’ll see if I can cancel my subscription since I just signed up a few hours ago.
No free trial and huge subscription fees? No thanks.

Thankfully I decided to read the reviews before officially buying this pricey app ($30/month, or $90/6 months), which, by the way, offers no free trial? So bizarre. There were already technical problems with it before I even finished making an account. They require you to give an email address and agree to receive *all* emails from them before you’ve even picked a subscription plan. Very misleading too. They don’t tell you at all that you *must* pay to access *any* content at all. It seemed like a scam so I went to the reviews and found many people saying it is not very fleshed-out or interactive, and as someone who is already very well-versed in CBT and has done years of therapy, I’m not looking for something so basic. Wish I could have at least tried a free trial to see if it could help me, but they want $30 for just one month with very little insight into what I’m paying for? I’ll just delete instead. No thanks.
Can’t Afford

I was so excited to get Sensa after seeing an ad on TikTok, the certified platform of procrastination, and the quiz was appealing and detailed. I feel so distraught by my procrastination as a new college student that I wish I could have something to help, however, I can’t afford it. I wish there was a free version to reach a demographic of poorer college or high school (or even middle school) aged students who deal with procrastination the most. Disappointed :(
Not worth paying actual money!

I don’t normally pay for apps like this, and I regret doing so. There’s not much useful information and a lot of the activities are extremely basic. You don’t need to pay for an app to tell you to keep a journal and to exercise. Some free advice for you: just keep a journal and exercise! And meditate.
There are so many spelling and grammar errors, it’s very unprofessional.
On top of that, it “locks” activities that it doesn’t want you to do until the next day, so you don’t even get to try things out at your own pace. I think it’s because they don’t have enough content and they want to stretch it out.
I have absolutely no affiliation, but try the Curable app if you are looking for something similar, it doesn’t have to be used just for a chronic pain. It’s more comprehensive, better designed, and more interactive. And you can try it for free to decide if you like it. I wish this app had the same offer, I definitely would not have purchased this if I had tried it first.
I was really interested in trying Sensa and seeing if it would help so I downloaded it and bought a plan. After a couple of days, actually right after the most recent update, my app has completely stopped working. When I open it it just shows a blank white screen and that’s it. Nothing else will load even if I close and reopen Sensa . I’d give this 0 stars if I could right now because it simply isn’t functioning
NOPE

I wish I had read how many reviews had bad experiences before I wasted my $$. Some as others, my account is debited immediately, but I can’t get through Sensa to get an account. Very ironic - an app for mental health is so frustrating to interface with. I am contacting my credit card to see if I can refute the charges. Hey developer, I expect I will get the same pre-scripted response as others telling me to email you. Joke’s on you- I already have. Now the race is on, can you resolve the issue before the $$ is taken back?
Disappointed

First please read their refund policy (in the terms & conditions document) before you pay. Next, I was disappointed by Sensa after being interested by their ads that claim it’s “your personal anti-procrastination plan.” In Sensa you choose a list of tasks to do during the week and it generates a to-do list. Each day you rate your mood and make notes in a mood journal and then you have this daily to-do list to go through. Sensa suggests a written solution to a to-do like “visualize you’re on a beach” but there’s no audio/video guidance or timers for timed stuff inside Sensa . There’s no info about the science (Cognitive Behavior Therapy) is supposedly behind what you are doing or how it’s helping you. Sensa surfaced zero reminders on my phone about what you’ve committed to for the day (those notifications only started mysteriously appearing after I emailed to complain). I guess if you need a structure to track your mood and a to-do list to build habits, you might find Sensa useful? Just test it out to see if it’s for you before you pay. Their customer service was fast and very responsive, though.

So far, my user experience has been underwhelming. Not a lot of information about features or trial available ahead of time to know what you’re getting before making a buying decision. After paying, Sensa didn’t update and kept me in the sign up process til customer service set up the account for me a few days later, losing the initial assessment I’d done. Now I’m a week away from being able to do another assessment, which means I’m also a week away from any of Sensa ’s recommendations, which is the point of using/purchasing it. This morning (day 2 of actual use), I went to launch Sensa and got a blank screen. Repeatedly. We’ll see if a delete/redownload does anything, but so far underwhelmed….
Frustrating

When you complete an activity within Sensa (journaling) it does not log it for you. You have to go to a separate area of Sensa to do that. Why an app that’s supposed to help with procrastination would force you to do redundant tasks is beyond me. Also, if you add custom activities, you can’t add them to days in the past, so if you start a new exercise for example, and it doesn’t match one of the preloaded activities, you can’t log it unless you create it in advance. Nice idea but they should have tested the interface on real people before launching.
I wasn’t on it for that long, but plan on keeping it to play around with it. It seems like it could be helpful to use if there’s a lot of stress in your life - which I have. A mental health coach that fits in your pocket could become useful!
I love it

Im really enjoying Sensa . It’s easy to navigate. I love the mood Journal, I can upload my mood through out the day and Sensa can tell me my average mood. You can compare your moods for passed days. I also like the activities, Sensa can keep you busy and help you run your day.
Works as intended

Sensa has very simple, effective mental health exercises on top of giving an area to write your thoughts and feelings right next to the work area. Straightforward and effective, and easy to find the time to use.
When it works, it’s great

Keeps looping me back to app store when a pop-up asks me if I’m enjoying this app. I hope this takes care of it but it’s strong-arming me to make a review in only a few days… If it doesn’t work- I”ll have to say “no” to try & break out of this endless loop. Ugh
Perfect for building self-care habits

As someone who struggles with anxiety, depression, and ADHD, it’s often very hard to stick with a schedule, stay motivated, and even remember, to practice self-care. Sensa offers lots of great tools to help you achieve a healthier body and mind - one little step at a time. Bite-sized relaxation activities and exercises help you work towards a better you, even if you don’t have a ton of spare time. You can use the mood journal to track your moods throughout the day, and make notes about what made you feel that way - perfect for tracking your progress, and awesome if you have problems with memory. this app is definitely worth trying if you battle anxiety or depression, or are someone who wants to better their self-care routine!
Thank you so much for giving me this experience to try Sensa. I love what the people are doing in their virtues to make people happy. I am definitely happy and cared for. I love how I can express my feelings thank you so much!

I have bad anxiety and Sensa really helped me center myself and calm down. I was able to focus my energy on the things that are important instead of cluttering my mind with useless worries. I also love that I could try it for free

In today’s times with all the news, this is an effective app to have. There are many beneficial calming and centering activities. When I find my self anxious, I go through the breathing exercise. If I’m feeling disconnected I do the grounding routines. They actually stimulate a feeling of relief.
Great app!

Awesome mental health and relief app that’s easy-to-use, organized, and user-friendly. I love the the ability develop my own plans and to do quick relief exercises to calm my mood; in which you can choose from a wide variety. Sensa is also great in tracking your very own activities and mood; which is awesome! The features in Sensa will help me to keep track of my mental health, activity, and is overall very educational. No bugs or glitches, nice!

Probably one of my favorite mental health apps I’ve seen. The user face is extremely clean and usable. It asks you how you’re feeling each day and you can even look back on your notes and feelings in the past, easy to spot patterns. You have your own profile and even activities to help you on your feelings. Top tier app for a top tier cause!
Would recommend

I struggle with anxiety and staying present and focus and Sensa is a quick solution to both this issues in the short term, but when used overtime I can really see an improvement in my mental health and ability to remain focused and calmed. Would recommend, but you have to stick to it for the long run to see the best results.
Love it

There area lot of this type of app available but this one really stands out from the crowd as the best, the features are all so helpful and I’d recommend to anyone wishing to aid in mental health.

Sensa is just what I need! I am a Mom, in college, and I trying to run my own business all at same time …. On top of all the stress from that I suffer with anxiety, depression, and PTSD…. In which I can never find time to manage. Sensa really puts everything it in one place for me. The mood journal will really help me and the mobility of it makes it even more helpful! I can access it on my mobile phone so whenever and wherever I am, I can just open my phone and type my thoughts and feelings and don’t have to wait until the end of the day when I’m so tired when I can’t remember a thing!
The “today activity” really helps me start my day on a great mood and makes me feel positive. having the relaxation and activity right at the plan of my hand all the time will also help me a ton.

No means no
I didn’t feel the tools were right for me and asked to unsubscribe one week before the first payment . I then received an email saying ‘I will do that but first tell me why’ which frankly is non of their business. They charged anyway. They have not responded to my complaint with regards to this..
