The rating is not for Radiant ’s features, but what I believe is deception. Perfectly Clear was previously Lucid and, prior to Lucid, it was called Perfectly Clear. That happened. New company? Radiant is decent for what it does, but they have now re-introduced the name as if it is a new app. It is not new. They just added the subscription requirement that was not there before. I am really tired of so many apps we rarely use charging monthly and/or annual subscription amounts to use the features that were previously included in Radiant you PURCHASED before. I purchased the original Perfectly Clear. I don’t mind paying for upgraded features if they are worth it, but a constant payment, no. Not much has changed with Radiant functionality. If I paid monthly/annual subscriptions for every app I use, I could not afford anything else in life. So, Radiant is being removed today from all 8 iPhones in my household. It was nice using Perfectly Clear (Lucid) when I needed to. There’s only one software suite to which I subscribe because, for $99/yr, it gives each of 6 users use of the entire business suite plus 1 TB of storage space online. That’s worth it.

I tried to batch 275 photos and crashes every time I try to export.

Even before exporting, when swiping the first 5 photos, Radiant crashes.

I downloaded this hoping to see something different. It’s not a unique app that the developers are asking for a subscription. It can’t even fix a degraded video while other apps can that charge a one time fee. The photo adjustments are so typical that even the built in app on the iPhone does the same thing. Nowadays developers like to put “AI” in their app to make it look like it’s doing something mind blowing. Don’t waste your money on this. There are apps out there that does the same thing for a one time fee.

They retired Licid for this. Not even comparable.
This is not worth it, you can’t enhance specific areas, your pretty much paying for what your auto correct on your phone (free) editing does.
bring back Lucid!

Perfectly Clear as a one-time purchase on my computer was great. It was worth it to use for a couple of years. Just stumbled on Radiant and realized it was $20 a year. Nope. Deleted. Perfectly Clear isn’t as good as Adobe — and I’m not paying a monthly fee for Adobe either.

After years of wanting “Perfectly Clear” for iPhone and having to accept Lucid as a substitute, at least it was a one time purchase. You reward us who have waited all this time with only a subscription-based app? Even at a discount it’s a slap in the face. I’ll go elsewhere.

Not with Radiant you don’t. Seems that most people would at least want the option to include location and camera settings. No such option available. But … you get the date the photo was taken 👍

Where’s the ai enhance? All I see is enhance and doesn’t do that it makes the quality look worse. Enhance seems to be the only feature I have available I try using anything else and it doesn’t work. It says you guys provide photo and video enhancer but it doesn’t enhance it makes things look worse.

Iphone app, No portrait mode. Useless on the iPad.

I can’t find a crop or straighten tool.

Previously, during the predecessor Lucid app’s usable lifetime, I rated it five stars. It was great as it was, and could have continued as an excellent one-time purchase app. Then, when the Perfectly Clear subscription app replaced it, I rated that one star——I felt that my old Lucid app no longer worked properly, it was handicapped to force Lucid app users to migrate to the Perfectly Clear app. The developer later explained that it was no longer feasible to keep the old app current for one small price, they had to develop a different subscription app to replace it. Maybe so, maybe not. I’m raising my rating to three stars, to try to be fair. All I can say is that too many fine one-purchase-price apps are changing to a recurring subscription and are not, to my belief, as good as the old app they replace. I’m still looking for a good replacement for the old Lucid app. Perfectly Clear is not equivalent, but some people may like it. I just won’t pay more for an app that is less satisfactory than what it replaces. Changing Radiant ’s name and developer’s name and how Radiant functions is not an improvement. Still disappointed.

How is it possible to enhance quality photos with this much ease !!

Eye Q has just added the ability to edit RAW image files that have been imported into folders on the iPad. It now will pull in those images directly from the filer app. They have made Radiant into a potential replacement for the desktop app while traveling without a laptop.
It does do a great job of photo enhancement.

I have used Perfectly clear for years. My challenge at this point is that I’d like to use my iPad as a substitute for a desktop when traveling. I use a mirror less camera to capture RAW images. I can copy those into a file on the iPad but I’m not sure I want to import them into Photos. I would like to be able to edit files not added to the Photos app.

I love their desktop application, “this app Photo,” and use it as a finishing step on all my photos. The mobile app has many of the same features, but I love how it takes a photo and makes it look great without going over the top. For social media, this is a one-tap application, and you have an image that can be posted immediately. Radiant is more powerful than that, and you have all the controls you would expect from a photo editing application on your mobile device.

this app Photo has added video enhancement to the mobile app, and again, it is a fast way to make your video look great with one click. You can't make adjustments to the videos like you can to the photo part of Radiant , but for social media and quick enhancements to your video, it works great. In future versions, I hope they will add more features to the video portion of this mobile app.

Mobile photographers, social media influencers, and anyone who wants to make their images look great will want Radiant on their mobile devices.

It really does what it says it does. Your photos instantly look better and the batch processing is an awesome feature too.

Radiant does what no other app can do. The correction on backlit photos and videos is amazing. Makes me look like a professional editor!

Quickly became my go to show off my pics app! Not a Pro but this took my enthusiasm for sharing to the next level. 📲

Radiant has really taken all the feedback and translated into something I’m using more and more on a daily basis. I can’t say enough amazing things and I love how it’ll keep getting better.

UPDATE: we’ll you guys have to make money too so I’ve updated my review because app was great those times I’ve used it. I might consider trying you again one of these days.

I’ve used your apps for about ten years or whatever year you launched your first app. Purchased your other apps too. Sounds like app is now owned by a different company? Anyways, my one star rating is because of the change from one time purchase to a subscription model. It is now worth it. Another one time payment would’ve been acceptable for the new app but the monthly payment isn’t anything close to what Radiant is worth. Sorry.

TL;DR - Don't walk - RUN and get Radiant ASAP - you'll use it everyday!

I've been using this app Photo on my Mac for about a year, and am a massive fan because it ALWAYS improves my images, no matter what type of photo. So, when I heard that the team was developing a mobile app, I was super excited.

Radiant is fast, easy-to-use and chock full of indispensable features. Their AI does a great job automatically identifying scenes (e.g. people, landscapes, animals, underwater) and making the image better. I often just export from there without manually doing any adjustments.

However, this app also includes tons of tools for developing and stylizing images, including a big set of film looks. My favorite features? The ability to open images - including RAW files - from anywhere (yes, including Cloud drives!) plus Batch Processing. For instance, I'll go to a concert and take 50+ photos, then batch process them before sharing to social media - this app makes me look like a Rock Star myself!

Bottom line: I highly recommend Radiant. Get it - even the free version - and it will be your secret weapon that makes all of your friends jealous - haha!

I was searching for long time an app to upgrade my videos and photos to a better resolution (I gave Radiant an opportunity and now I don’t want to leave it)
I don’t regret it!
