I’m a new mom and was looking forward to mess around with this little app to maybe help my frustration and stress, and now I’m just more frustrated and stressed. Open the app and immediately am annoyed that it’s not actually free, but whatever, it makes sense. It tells you that they will NOTIFY you when your free trial is up, so I took the offer. The app is nothing to write home about. Immediately forgot about it because you are only allowed to use the app for 5 minutes a day before you are essentially locked out from doing anything. So how fun do you think it was to wake up to a notification not from this app, but to my bank telling me I’ve purchased AN ENTIRE YEAR for this app 🤪 Why their subscription default is for an entire year is beyond me, and SO sketchy. Really wish I could’ve bought stuff for my baby. But now I’m stuck without $60 for an app that gives me information I could’ve gotten for free on google <3 it’s definitely on me for not remembering to cancel it, but VERY annoyed that I didn’t get the reminder that I was told I would get. I wish I could rate this app higher. The app itself is great - but the company policies really turned me off of it. I tried to update my trial to a monthly trial on the app - and on my iPhone it showed that it went through. It came the day of the end of the trial and company billed me for the year trial, even though I had been told that my trial had changed to the monthly. I contacted them the moment I was charged and I was denied a refund. These predatory practices in companies really frustrate me 😕. Therefore I would not recommend the app for those reasons - know that customer service will not have your back.
Response to developer: No, that is totally false. The Apple Store refunded me - it was the Ahead website that refused to refund me and stopped responding to my emails. Do not say that the Apple Store handles all of that.

The app expresses simple thoughts and then a click later immediately reframes them with “blank” in the sentence and you’re given a multiple choice quiz of which word to fill the blank in with. It will say “understand our triggers is important” you click to the next page and it’s “Understanding our triggers is (blank space with three options like a)bad b)applesauce c)important. This happens constantly and left me feeling like I was reading a Highlights for children magazine. Once you’ve read about two fairly simple concepts the app “cuts you off” for the day. They say “that’s all you can process mentally for today” and then you can’t do anything else with it. And they want people to pay for this.
