For my first recipient I clocked in, when it came to clocking out it had informed me I clocked her out. I’m looking at my time sheet this morning and it says I never did and I was clocked out at the end of the day. For my second recipient I had trouble clocking out because I kept getting an icon of error. It clocked me out but didn’t report the hours I worked. This morning I couldn’t clock in for the job, got 2 icon errors and just went onto the website instead. This should be fixed fast, it’s only the first day and I’m already having issues if this “app” has been a 2 year idea. “It’s suppose to facilitate us the providers,” but that simply has not been the case. I’m just sticking to the website instead, don’t forget to check your timesheets to make sure you did ever clock in or clock out.

I hope they are working on an update. Some days I am able to check in for both residents of the home I provide care in, while other days I get an “error” message. I have to write in my notes the hours and/or which recipient I received issues with so that the next day I can call in to get the problem fixed.

Every time I log in I have to input my password, even if I put remember me I still have to input my log in information. Not to mention I always get that error message when checking in and out. It is so frustrating I’ve tried doing it through the website and on IHSSEVV and still get that error message. It takes me longer to clock in and when I’ve called there helpline I’m like the 400th caller with a wait time of over an hour. How am I suppose to get my work done and wait for someone to help me solve this issue. I feel like this is a trial run but honestly it’s a waste of time. I like the concept of it but I feel it was better off manually if it was going to have so many issues.

I can log in but it gives me an error every time also with logging out same this, says successful then the error.
So I go into my regular IHSS app and all it has done is put the clock times. Not hoursworked
I have been manually putting in my hours.
I saw there is a check in/out on the IHSS app and tried it but that one says I don’t have my location turned on but I do!
So I will just use both for now. Writing this in case anyone else is having same problem. You are not alone.

I am a provider and I’ve been using IHSSEVV since July 1st 2023. It is honestly a waste of time!!! There’s always many app bugs/erros. When I login it will auto populate a alert stating there’s an error. I haven’t been able to clock in with IHSSEVV for the past week and a half. Pointless how it does not track the hours you worked!! I updated my phone and it is still not working. I was better off just marking my hours on the calendar like I used to.

I have not been able to check out successfully for several days. The errors popup telling me to call support. I called and was told there were 87 people in front of me. I don’t have time to wait online for help with something I doubt they can fix. I’ve reinstalled IHSSEVV every day. I can’t comply with this horribly built tool. Can someone from IHSS please put a message out on the website about what we should do until you fix it?

The point of IHSSEVV was to track which is understandable. But if you’re gone cause stress for us who’s trying to help sick people.
Just put a GPS on our neck and get it over with . Don’t add stress to us . This is unbelievable. Waist of our time and our patient’s are suffering from this as well .

IHSSEVV is so frustrating. I get an error every time I clock out and a lot of the time I clock in. I’m wasting so much time checking everything on the ESP site and today I cannot get clocked in at all. Tried so many times and after an hour of trying everything I could think of I still cannot get logged in or clocked in. I’m so mad right now I’m ready to throw my phone and my iPad. Please fix this thing like NOW.

IHSSEVV is horrible. I have called by phone to get help due to IHSSEVV not working and they don’t pick up the call for hours. IHSSEVV is always glitching. It doesn’t count my hours I clock in correctly. It is a waste of time that we as workers don’t have. IHSSEVV is really bad and I hope they do something about it. I give it one star because that’s the lowest I can but it deserves zero.

IHSSEVV was definitely developed by the state of California, as it is a complete mess (then again, what else is new). App keeps spitting out some CVV error when I try to clock in or out. When I do manage to check in or out, the times aren’t accurate (sometimes up to five minutes slow or fast).

The fact I have to calculate the number of hours I worked (something that should be handled by IHSSEVV since it logs in the check in and out times) is about as stupid as it is lazy.

Calling the 1-800 number IHSSEVV tells you to call doesn’t help as no one picks up.

Pure frustration on every level.

It’s the weekend. IHSSEVV didn’t work and asked me to call the phone number. It’s after business hours. No one can help me. It asked me to call back Monday to Friday 8AM-5Pm. I can’t check in…but still had to do my hours. I just waited 15 minutes of my time to just log-in and then check in; still failed to have a successful log in. Please fit it fast…

The only thing IHSSEVV does is tracks your location. so it’s a tracker not a time keeper. you will still need to calculate your time because it will not do it automatically, so what is the point of using this? Also a lot of issues clocking in and clocking out and a lot of error messages out of nowhere. A complete waste of time!

I hate IHSSEVV constantly says there’s a error and to login and login out and doesn’t record your hours make sure you check your timesheet if I could give it a half star or no stars I would.

I’m pretty sure the development for IHSSEVV was very rush to set for use on July 1. In what world do you electronically clock in and when clocking out you have to manually calculate how many hours and minutes you worked. The point of clocking in is so there’s a record and automatically calculates the amount of hours and minutes. How is someone suppose to remember to the minute that they clocked in. I have to log in on the website and check the time I clocked in and mentally calculate the hours and minutes then go back to IHSSEVV to clock out and input hours and minutes worked. That’s an extra few minutes that I’m getting paid. I might as well just manually input my clock out time on the Wes site since I’m already in.

Also as others complained, you need to type in the password every use of IHSSEVV . Waste of time

Never seen an app so useless, asks for a password every time, waste of time, get an error every time EVERY TIME i have tried to check in,, unable to to check out! Since day 1. Have to later manually enter your hours worked, if you are lucky that you can check in and out. Logged in and there was an update. It didn’t let me check out unless I updated IHSSEVV , mind you, it took me forever to checkin because of all the errors I was getting, so I tried to update, and IHSSEVV Store shows open. There is no update in IHSSEVV Store so I can update and check in. This is what got me to IHSSEVV Store to write this review. Cause I was trying to update but there is no update! So I am here. At my recipients home wasting me time here trying to update so I can checkin but I can’t. Useless and time wasting!

There are so many problems with IHSSEVV, it’s literally making me do more work to calculate hours, especially when it’s not populating hours and minutes worked. We should not be having to put how many hours and minutes we worked, IHSSEVV should be smart enough to add up the hours and minutes. What is the point if it’s not doing that for us? IHSSEVV is making it so much harder to do our time cards, this is a waist of time. Ihss really needs to fix these issues because we are the ones struggling.

We used to be able to do our time tracker so easily! Now everything is so messed up. IHSSEVV always has an error doesn’t let us clock in probably or clock out! We need to go back to just having the website work so we can do our job. Not spend 20-30 min trying to clock in. I’m there to take care of my family not to be on my phone figuring it out! Very upsetting!

As we were told in the Webinar on EVV app that at the end of two weeks the hours and minutes worked WILL be populated automatically when Timesheets are to be updated and submitted. It did not! And I hv to go back to the timesheet to recall and calculate hours and minutes worked. I wasted my personally hours for at least two hours to make sure my calculations are correct. It’s a total waste of time. What is the purpose of having the EVV app if it does not even do the simple task of populating the hours and minutes worked?
Today, I could not check-out due to the new update version….IHSSEVV could not be updated via App Store even after more than numerous tries. FInally I had to remove the old app and download to reinstall IHSSEVV in order for me to complete my Check-out task. Truly, since the rushed out of this EVV app it has given more pain and frustration than anything else!

As everyone here already mentioned, IHSSEVV is completely useless and a waste of time. Who in the world developed this and think it’s even usable?! This is 2023, not 1990, please do better and hire a real developer who can get the job done. Do some research and look at your client base, as you got plenty of providers who don’t even know how to use a computer and you’re causing extra work and stress for them for the little amount they’re getting paid for. The providers are helping people, not prisoners so what’s the point of tracking them. Ridiculous. If you want people to adopt to this “new” way of doing things, at least make it easy for them and not force them to use an app that breaks every week. On top of this they still have to input their timesheet manually like before. IHSSEVV needs a complete remake!

Horrible… First, it will not save your password, so you have to remember it every single time you log in. Now, not only is it logging in the time, but it’s not telling you the time until you go to the IHSS website to see what it timed in or at as. Plus, it asked you to put in the amount of hours you worked so you have to do all kinds of math to the minute. Now, that doesn’t seem hard if it all done in half hour increments but it doesn’t always work out that way. After working, long shifts, who wants to sit down and think about time math. There is no real point to IHSSEVV. It would be better to just login on the actual website, but it doesn’t even let you do it there, but it says it does. This is a joke. It’s as if we don’t have enough work to do as it is, so now we have to sit and try to navigate IHSSEVV when we are exhausted from working. Plus,If you have a bad data connection where you are then it will be worse.

It’s ridiculous that 1) I keep getting error messages on logging in telling me to try again… then it lets me log in anyway AND 2) why do I have to remember my log in time to calculate the hours worked when I log out??? IHSSEVV should do this automatically! 3) you should be able to have IHSSEVV remember your password instead of having to write it every single time you login. TERRIBLE TERRIBLE TERRIBLE terrible app!

IHSSEVV is temperamental at best. IHSSEVV will ask you to log in everytime (sometimes) multiple times. I’ve been told that you don’t need a to have a signal/wifi or cell reception to complete a check in it will allegedly save it and when it gets connected it will submit. This is in my case false. I enter my password and get stuck on the white box “authenticating” with a spinning circle. I have to close IHSSEVV and relaunch it and even when I get in. And hit check in it often doesn’t record it. IHSSEVV is a joke, a mess and a poor excuse for over worked, underpaid workers with zero benefits. This is another reason why people don’t want to be IHSS workers and hence such a high turn around rate and this extremely unreliable app for check in/ check out.

It doesn’t serve a purpose for me it doesn’t save pass words the other day I tried three times but checked the online portal the same pass word works every once in a while it gets reset without my consent I happen to notice like if I apply for any assistance like or verify my income 😂 I was hoping that this would finally get me paid sooner and faster for me to get paid instantly if I choose to since semi monthly is not working out for my salary paid fixed income 🤑I’ll repeat this again I don’t know s h about todays soft ware but I imagine it’s much more improve d and advanced than my training 20 plus years ago of ms dos🤣 the. More advanced the more barriers and difficulty longer it takes to Receive direct deposit 💵 plus I’m rude and desperate so I delete because it’s for purpose of data that someone created to facilitate their own project or job easier but I still have to not comply with my grace period of payments and bills Oh sure it’s just chump change

I’m not sure if IHSSEVV was developed in a rush, but there are so many issues with it. I keep trying to clock out from the recipients home and it keeps giving me a crash notification telling me I have to call the helpdesk. When I went back to check my times, it never clocked me in. Also, I find it pretty ridiculous that I have to login every time whether I’m clocking in or clocking out. What’s the point of using IHSSEVV if I have to go back and adjust my hours in the time sheet section as well? Definitely not a great way to keep track of my hours. Good thing I also wrote down the hours I worked in my notes in case of stuff like this happens. But IHSSEVV is very under developed and needs a lot of work.

Agree IHSSEVV is terrible. Plus you have to log again on the website and you cannot tell what it took or correct if if you tapped wrong you’re not sure. It mal functions and you are stuck based on connectivity. There is no place to explain or put a note. You so tiredor you get on the road or it slips your mind bc you have to get to your next destination. Tired and we are in a business of constant variables with patients needs.

Doing the math is not in my brain at yhose moments.

On the iPhone and iPad with the Russian language set as default in the Language and region, the application opens in Chinese! Have this ever been tested before releasing to the Apple Store? I want to be notified when the bug is fixed, please. This is the greatest inconvenience that limits me in using the devices.

As I am using both IHSS mobile apps, I expect consistency across the applications , however, the first letter in the user name and password defaults to a low case in IHSS EVV and to upper case in IHSS. Could this be fixed please?

The apps locks you after 5 attempts. Considering the specifics of the community of the users of this application, would it be reasonable to increase it to a much larger number, like 20?

Absolutely horrible app. Been using it for two days or should I say I have been TRyi use it for two days. You can NOT sign in or out since it constantly gives you an error message and asks you to call…

IHSSEVV hasn’t been very useful as of yet. The first log in attempts often come up with an error message. Making it more tedious to log in and retry 3-4 or more times. I’ve also gone to recheck the times of clocking in/out on the desktop version. And even after clocking “out” at the appropriate times on IHSSEVV . The desktop version automatically has time out as being 11:59pm meaning IHSSEVV isn’t properly clocking out. This adds more busy work to review each day/time and edit as needed. Making IHSSEVV not productive for its intended purpose. If we have to edit the times in the desktop version IHSSEVV isn’t needed.

clearly no one did any market research tested any other apps, trying to do the same thing there are way better apps out there that do Geo tracking automatic login log out for location. This is the absolute worst one I’ve ever used or tried. I hope my taxpayer dollars did not go towards this. This one is built to be a hackers delight, like a legal way to scam this system.

This check in and check out method is a problem and will not update with my other time sheet. The check in times are off and never accurate. My minutes are never timed correctly and IHSSEVV messed up my hours on my time sheet. Please fix this issue this time in and time out idea is useless and doesn’t work correctly.

IHSSEVV does not work. I am able to log in but after checking into my location, I receive an error. I waited on hold for over an hour with IHSS just to be told reinstalling IHSSEVV will fix the error. So far I have reinstalled 3 times and I am still receiving an error. IHSSEVV is a piece of junk. I would give it zero stars if I could!

I don't understand the convenience here. I clock in, clock out, and still need to enter the hours and minutes I worked?! Why isn't this done automatically? Also, I need to enter my password every time I want to log in; there is no option to stay logged in.

This is by far one of the most ridiculous and pointless apps that has been made. My mother and aunt who are great providers are not tech savvy. Instead of putting the time towards the recipient, they have to try to figure out how to complete this every single day, twice a day. Unnecessary.

Every other year they update things in the most unnecessary way. This being one of them.
It makes zero sense other than tracking us and making our jobs just a tad bit more tedious. We deserve a raise after this

Second day check in doesn’t show after I check out. Stupid rule to track you location which is not forced by the Federal government. Just another way for them to track people and keep tabs on them.

App isn’t not working properly! Keeps logging me out and saying incorrect password. Please update IHSSEVV and make user friendly. It’s very frustrating to use and disappointing. Too many bugs/glitches

I am able to log in only but right after I log in an error message pops up that tells me to log out and log back in again or to call a number. What can I do ?

If you are going to ask people to use clock in and out then you better make it somewhat easy. IHSSEVV is completely useless. Gotta type in the password every time? No biometrics?

First of all why app starts on Chinese language? My phone system language is Russian if app has no Russian it must defaults to English!
Second. Can you save login and password!? It is awful idea to type password every time I start app

IHSSEVV requires location connection. It does not offer a link to allow it and does not show on list of apps under phone “location”. As is, is useless.

I think that they should of figured IHSSEVV out before launching it. Now only do we have to check in and out but then we have to head over to the etimeaheets website to enter our time. I understand what is trying to be done but when you are having to mess with an app that continuously gives error messages when you log in or out, it takes away from our time with our clients. Get it together so we can do our jobs properly

This is by far the worst idea that they could’ve came up with ! IHSSEVV is beyond ridiculous (smh) every time I try to check in here comes an error message and then I try to sign in again and it lets me just to make me sign back in because the system has signed me out…The wait time to talk to someone is stressful and so is using this mobile app , they should have left it the way it was because this was the worst mistake that they could’ve ever made

This is horrible. What kind of timesheet doesn’t keep track of your time?!? They basically wanted to track our locations and not give us help with timesheets. After logging in and out, you still have to calculate your hours. It was supposed to be more convenient for us, but it makes it worse.

IHSSEVV does not work and is possibly affecting my pay. I’m currently on hold waiting for a customer rep from the number they said to call, when I logged into IHSSEVV and got an Error message. I’ve been on hold for 43 minutes.

Why do I have to sign in every time? Add biometric sign in! I cannot be typing my password every time I open IHSSEVV ! Too hard! My phone, only I am using!

I am receiving error messages when logging on. Password and username are correct and working fine using an internet browser. So for now, using an alternative method.

The system asks me to sign in every time I open IHSSEVV . Very frustrating, especially when checking in/ out from community. Please fix it!

"IHSSEVV shouldn't allow you to do multiple check-ins back to back for the same recipient. When you check-in once before the second attempt, it should notify the user that they have already been checked-in and ask if they want to check-out first and check-in later."

App was not that great at first. Having error problems but it’s been awhile now and everything has been smooth sailing. It’s a simple app just check in and check out.

I have one client and allows me to clock in and out.

Many glitches in this app.1) I am a Provider. I cannot click in and out for multiple visits for one Recipient. So, IHSS sends me a warning email that I am not using their app. 2) App freezes 3) my Recipients disappear, so I cannot clock in 4) what do I do if I am in an area where Cell coverage is scarce? 5) My cell broke, so I had to manually enter hours 5) I use the app, but still have to put how many hours I have worked on main computer or hours do not go in to be approved.

This app is garbage! Error message, not tracking hours worked, asking for password each and every time and a helpline to call where you can be 423rd in line! Not exaggerating! Too much hustle for a minimum wage job!

What’s the point this should e a simple step half the time my password don’t let me in
