1. After the 3rd offer to purchase premium at a fraction of the initial price, I agreed to the 7 day free trial and the one-year discounted subscription rate. There was no free-trial period, my card was billed immediately for an annual subscription. —— 2. I have a brand new Apple Pencil and an iPad that is only a few months old and, still, it is impossible to make clean drawing lines in the app. No matter what I try, my lines always come out rigid and bumpy. This is frustrating because my drawing would be much better if it weren’t for this issue. —— 3. The survey at the beginning asked what types of drawing I would like to learn, yet at the end of each lesson, it gives me recommendations to draw the only category I did NOT pick of wanting to learn to draw. I’m not here to learn how to draw vector clipart.

Look, the concept is amazing! My main gripe is the subscription. The only thing you are able to access is the daily drawing prompts. Honestly its fine to have a subscription, it really is. How else are you gonna afford stuff? But really, it gets to a point of obnoxiousness where every single thing has a paywall. I went to get the app to try and learn how to draw with motivation again but it just severely disappointed me when every single thing i looked through was unavailable due to me not paying for it. I had gotten an advertisement saying that "it helps build your own art style" when it literally only shows corporate art styles, and even THOSE are blocked by the paywall. Its just disappointing to see from a struggling artist.

Okay, I’ll start with the things I do like about this app. I think it’s a pretty cute little app perfect for beginners in art. You select a drawing and it shows you steps to complete it yourself. Another thing I also do like about this app is I haven’t had to watch any ads-to a very little amount at all. 👍(I’m talking 1-4 ads worth in a several weeks!) Two things I don’t love about this app is that in the sections you click on (for example, landscape) you only have 1-2 options to color. [But there are tons of sections thankfully] You have to PAY for a “pro” option to get more coloring choices, but I think it’s okay to not do so. My last and only another issue is that if you want to exit, there is no way to save your progress, but luckily you can just leave the tab open, or just finish it, they take 3-6 minutes for at most. Thanks for reading!
