FlipGrid has been a game-changer. This app combines everything kids like: making videos, social media type format (but safe), it gives a voice to EVERYONE. If you are worried that it will be too scary for your shy/quiet kids....don’t. Students can draw a picture, show a picture while saying what they know. It allows re-dos, emojis, and selfies!! Teachers can control the time....so you get a quick, formative or summative assessment of what they know. I have used it in so many ways....students record their learning, show a video of what they made (example: show rollercoasters they made to demonstrate potential and kinetic energy). I have also used it with my PLN on Twitter with fellow educators and getting to know each other. Lastly, I have been recording myself before each quiz and I give a 3 Minute Flip of everything they need to know - so much great feedback on that. Oh.....and AR, we have used that too. FlipGrid is also SUPER responsive on Twitter. Such a great app and company.
Flipgrid is a fantastic tool for giving every student a voice. Whether it is checking for understanding, discussing a topic, or any other number of instructional strategies, it is always challenging to hear from every student. Flipgrid captures each student’s understanding, reasoning, comment, etc. and creates a forum for further dialog. Along the way, it provides an opportunity to build digital citizenship skills. Yes, I left out that it all happens by recording videos and that’s on purpose. It’s not about the videos, yes that’s the medium, but it’s really about capturing the learning of every student. To top it off, it’s easy for teachers and there are tons of resources and guides. Making this happen with any other tool or platform would fall short and be so much more work. Try Flipgrid, it’s flipping awesome!
Are you looking for a technology piece that will truly be a game changer? Look no further, FLipgrid is THAT piece. This easy to use app allows students the opportunity to write, record, and collaborate their views with whomever you, the instructor, allows. This app is truly for all ages! The educator sets how you want their recording shared which covers every privacy concern there is. Only you can see it, just your class, your school, or students around the world! It’s simple accessibility allows all digital learners to be successful. I can’t recommend this app enough. I use this for students to read in and I can keep track of fluency. I can respond to individual students and hold actual conversations. Book reviews are a breeze. Love, love, LOVE this app! Download it! Thank me later!

I received a message yesterday that a video one of my students submitted was flagged as inappropriate. Can you give me some details about that video. I do want to address it with the student and the details will help me to communicate the issue.

My students have been having issues with accessing their Flipgrids during remote learning, so now I am trying to do it just through the Flipgrid app and not have them access it through Canvas, but I can't figure out how to make my account not linked to Canvas anymore. Please help! When they put in the code, their screen now says "The code you entered is for a Canvas Course. This course is only accessible via the Canvas app or website." I created this topic in the Flipgrid app and did not do it in Canvas, but my account is now linked to Canvas, how can I disconnect that?

My students can't access my flipgrids. I have checked everything and can't figure out what the problem is. It is on active and I have the correct domain for them to join. When they click on the link it says join code not found. I'm using this as an assessment tomorrow and need for them to be able to access it. I wish you all had a contact number. I put in old flip grid links that they already completed just to see if those would work and those too will not work anymore.

I have been looking for Customer Service or Technical Support number everywhere, but no able to find one. I have several FlipGrid accounts. This semester I would like to open up 2 new grids but I think I need a Consumer key for integration to my existing accounts. I don't want to open up a new account if I don't have to. None of the Grids I have created work. HELP!!
It is probably something simple and maybe a technician can walk me through it. Please reach out as soon as possible! Thank you, Clarisa

Created a school account in summer and just started experimenting. I was able to create a topic video, insert the link.
In a Google classroom, type in the join code for topic and it seems like it should work with students however, when I watch tutorial videos my main page doesn't say "My Grids". When I go to Actions there are no choices for grids actions.... I feel like I might have set up my account incorrectly when I 1st joined.... Thanks for your help

I can use Zoom just fine. I cannot get my camera to access Flipgrid. I am getting the black screen that tells me to set the camera to always. I have no always setting, just an allowed setting. I am using Google Chrome/windows 10.
The camera icon next to the URL doesn't have an X on it. In setting it says Flipgrid is allowed to use the camera. Just used Zoom so internal camera setting are correct.
I am a teacher trying to record for the first time and was planning on using this all year. School starts Monday so hopefully I will hear back over the weekend.

This was my first attempt to use Flipgrid in my 4th/5th classroom today. I studies how to use Flipgrid over the summer, created two flipgrids for the beginning of school (today), got the kids on Google Classroom, clicked on the Flipgrid link and it said it was experiencing difficulties and to try back later. It didn't come back and I moved on. We played Kahoot, so at least they learned how to do that.
I'm super disappointed I wasn't able to use Flipgrid, and I really hope if I plan to use it again, on Monday, it won't let me down again.
Looking forward to using Flipgrid. Hoping for the best, not sure what to expect. Not a good feeling.
