Best KHS Replacement

We switched over about seven months ago and I don't knew how we did it before. It is so easy to schedule with the CLM overseer and COBE. Monthly service reports are so enjoyable now having 75% of the congregation turn in their within the first two days without having to make a single phone call. The ability to also crowd source emergency contact and other details from the publisher just makes life for the secretary so much easier.

I am hoping they add a feature that will replace mytime so the publishers can keep tract of their time and return visits within NWPublisher itself.

Thank you all very much I am happy to be free of khs.

Excellent congregation tool

NWPublisher along with the desktop app for the appointed ones has made our work very easy, organized and unified. We moved away from KHS and are very happy with the transition. The ability for pubs to see Congo information on a regular basis is excellent. Even our oldest pubs have been able to use this and now the last one to turn in their reports is the secretary. Most have been turning in their reports by the 5th! Likewise the emergency contact and personal contact feature is very handy and we appreciate the security measures implemented. We do see the field service group feature on NWPublisher but have not seen how to implement it.

One problem to report: On the desktop app, we have locations and groups created and all are assigned but this does not currently show in the mobile app.

One new feature to offer: local app password security and facial recognition options.

Thank you very much for the hard work. Truly beneficial.

Extremely helpful, however…

As of today, when I updated my iOS version of NWPublisher, it became version 1.5. However the host scheduler program is requiring you to have version 1.6 in order to use NWPublisher properly. Version 1.6 for mobile devices has not yet been released. Some of NWPublisher features are not sinking correctly with the host scheduler program because of this discrepancy. I submitted a request to the developer hoping for assistance.

About talking to a cold object

I do not like NWPublisher - to me it takes away the human contact factor It gives me the feeling of sending my service time into the depths of the digital world into cyber space. Also it groups everything together into one placement which does not delineate the specifics of what is really going on. It is just one more factor in this world that causes one to have to spend more time on a phone and be so devoted to it and more importantly be disconnected to humans. Yet we are constantly told to reach out to one another to talk or text to SPEAK to a human To me NWPublisher does just the opposite I see it as another cold empty activity that this world puts upon us . When I use NWPublisher I feel a sense of emptiness

Getting better, way better than KHS and others

Had some bumps in the road but has been pretty stable for past few months. Mobile app is sparse but does has the most important features.

Future hopes: hope the developer moves more and more of the desktop features to mobile app. Would be nice to be able to make adjustment to schedules or add announcements etc via NWPublisher .

An amazing what to schedule with ease!

I was referred to JW Scheduler and really like it. I've used other products before yet when each user has their own copy, and you try to sync things up, issues occur. Now everyone is using the *same* copy and that helps with reducing double assignments.

Thanks for all the hard work and effort that has gone into the product!

Keeps the congregation up to date

We’ve been using JW Scheduler desktop and JWS Publisher app in our congregation for almost a year. The friends love it. We can post Announcements, Special dates, like the CO visit and Circuit Assembly. Also allows everyone to turn in time and it goes straight to JW Scheduler desktop version. Keep up the good work.

Need help

For my August and September 2021 field service report I am having the same problem. On the first of the following month, I go immediately to turn in my time through NWPublisher . But when it opens, it’s telling me I already submitted the report and thanking me. I don’t have the option anymore to turn in my service. It says it’s already done. I also can’t see my August 2021 report even though it has every other month for a year previously. I use an iPhone 12 Pro Max and it’s using the latest iOS 15. I deleted NWPublisher and reinstalled it but it still says I turned in my report for September.

Great App

This is an excellent app to help all the friends to be informed. I would like to see an option like in another program that I use to email visiting speakers that do not have NWPublisher to remind them of their Public Talks and to send Zoom information.
I do want to thank you for your hard work I truly believe this will be a great asset to the congregation. May Jehovah continue to bless your efforts.

Excellent!

Very convenient and it feels secure because only the your local body of elders has control over it, so not just anyone can use it. You have to have a unique PIN and your congregation information in order to even get into NWPublisher .

Possible Upgrades

Could you add a ‘time’ feature? That the administrator and the backup administrator be given a field for entering the time for meetings, service meetings. I think the times would really help.

Also, how about an option to enter the events into my device calendar? I could then set up reminders.

Thanks.

Sigestion

Hi I was wondering i you could add minutes like switch it to adding minutes and hours cus it only allows 10 minutes like add 5 minutes example: I’ll be out at 11:35 it won’t let me add the 5 so I have to stay out five more minutes so please allow to add 5 minutes thank you

Can’t connect any long

Hi brothers and sisters. There was an update around Feb 8th,and once I updated on both my iPad and iPhone, I can’t get in any longer. An Elder provided ID and PIN but still not letting me in. Crashing. For my sake, I’m hoping I’m not the only one experiencing this. 🙂

Field Service schedule WONKY after v1.5.0 update

All upcoming weeks now show the service schedule skewed. Because we have no arrangements in our congregation on Sunday for service, everything is off by 2 days...the schedule are 2 days early for service. Please fix this!

Very convenient !

I love NWPublisher. It’s simple, convenient and keep you posted about everything related to the congregation meetings and assignments.

Great App… A few requests.

Would appreciate…

* A couple more customizable fields in the Duty Schedule.

* The ability to choose which day the week begins on when scheduling duties by the week rather than the meeting.

* If the congregation events would show all currently scheduled events. It used to, but now it seems to only show the next 35 days.

Other than those items… great app!

No e-mail support response

Great program and app however there is data missing form the second week of April even though the Midweek Meeting Workbook has been released.
I have sent three emails via the required process and included my JWPub e-mail as requested and 4-6 weeks later no response.

My last and only resort to to leave this review hoping someone over there reads this and can answer our e-mail/support case issue!

Please reach out to us so we can resolve this issue maybe this is just an oversight and can later be adjusted.

These apps are not approved by the Society. The developers ask for donations (red flag). Congregation information in the app: names , phone number, address etc. I find it irresponsible that elders implement it and out a side forms from the Society. What if a phone of a publisher is stolen even worse phone of an elder. What if those who have access to all congregation private info get disfellowshipped. Why do brothers want to become elders and do things, their way, the easy way. Why is the GB not reacting to this phenomenon?

Anonymous   10 months ago

Is the GB even aware of this app? If not , doesn't it bother you? Did they even say anything about it? Then why use the app?

Anonymous   1 year ago

We were directed by Branch not to use any apps or websites that were not directly created by them. The creators of the app refuse to divulge their identity. Friends, not everyone with us is one of us? The app requests personal information, possible tracking etc....What if the app is hacked and then information used against us during attack on religion. Years ago elders were instructed not to keep personal contact information of publishers in written form to protect.

Dean Millar   2 years ago

I’m looking into the app is this app only for religious purposes.
